This is an endorsement of Bitcoin when a socialist/fascist like Warren attacks Bitcoin.  Of course she is to stupid she didn't even get Yellen's comment right.  The authoritarians don't like people to have ownership of their minds or products of their own minds. It interferes with their quest for power.

Quote
Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren backed recent comments on bitcoin by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen during an interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box on Tuesday.  Asked if she agreed with comments saying the cryptocurrency was a “speculative” asset made by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen late in February, the Senator said, somewhat coyly: “I think Janet’s a really smart woman.”

When pressed, she said, “‘Speculative in nature and going to end badly’ – I don’t think Janet left a lot of room for ambiguity.”

Can't agree more! All fascist powers think alike! They see bitcoin as a great threat because it gives power to the common people without the central bank's mediation. So they think it is free money to the people. Same goes with the government of India, Government of North Korea, Government of China! All fascist leaders consider bitcoin as an evil and wants to ban it! Little they know, that bitcoin is a revolution and can't be banned by a law! It will eventually find it own way!

Eh, this is just the age old story of just another old person who is too ignorant about the underlying technologies of why it works and refuses to even try to understand it. I've come across some old people who do understand BTC very well, but in my experience, most don't, but the worst ones are the ones that don't even try and talk shit about it.

This won't affect anything other than some select handful of old peoples' perspectives, who actually listen to these politicians and what they have to say and take it to the heart, and follow it to the T.

Oh yeah, and as usual, the guys you electing hoping they will not be as worse as their predecessors turn out to be exactly like that.
Everyone was cheering that the democrats won and this is going to be better for crypto now that the promises of unicorns and rainbows and free money are done with the truth is always unlike any promise.

I'm not surprised at all that the attacks come from the far left wing of the party, in their socialist ideology BTC is something that grants wealth to people who don't deserve it, and far worse than that it's outside their control. There is nothing worse than this for a socialist, not being able to touch somebody's else money, a cryptocurrency that can't be taxed or confiscate from the kulaks and given to their voters is probably a nightmare for them.

And everyone thinking that this is just because Warren is old and she can't understand this and that be careful, the next generation is far more focused on what others have and how to get it for free, in 10 years Bernie and Warren will look like hardcore capitalist comparing to the new wave.

Well, it's not like Yellen supported BTC, but it seems from the article that she didn't mean that it would end badly for everyone, and actually sees some potential in cryptos (even though she's generally against it). Warren is old, and I don't blame people who've lived most of their lives without the Internet and digital devices that they don't get Bitcoin. However, it would be nice if she took into account that fiat is also pretty speculative because its value is whatever the authorities say it is, and it's not backed up by anything but the trust of citizens and prestige on international level.

This is actually very common and to actually focus more we have to realize that this statement was infact given during a time when the Bitcoins sored high and people actually wanted to focus more on the decentralized part. The problem is these governmental people look for the people who are weak minded and try and influence the economy more. Which is honestly very dark considering they can influence a big part of the society. But do they tell the truth about the falling value of the USD? The struggling economic situation?? People not getting stimulus because of the corruption??
- Do not get influenced
- See for yourself how the market is changing
- Not just price but there are bigger opportunities now in the crypto section
- Volatility would just help you to buy more at a lower price.
Honestly if you know how to use Bitcoins then there is nothing which would stop you.

It's natural for him to say that, because he doesn't like bitcoin, oh man, senators keep making fuss and harassing us. as a politician who only places his position anywhere so that it is considered a topic of conversation. she might want to be raised to the surface, but in fact it won't do anything. whatever he says, aren't politicians just sycophants. I believe America does not need someone like him, even to lose a Warren, America will not feel lost.

They seem to be too old to understand this new advancing technology.
These older generation, narrow minded politicians with their privilaged positions are

the problem may actually be that they understand bitcoin too well. look at who are these old people who make negative statements about bitcoin. they are all corrupt one way or another or at least have a stake in something else that bitcoin has been threatening. it is because they are scared of bitcoin that they are lashing out these days while seeing the magnificent growth it has.

To be honest, I don't care what a certain senator thinks about BTC, because politicians aren't very intelligent to comment on such things, but we all know that no politician will refuse a little free promotion, even at the cost of being stupid with his statement. Politicians and various businessmen have been saying for a decade that Bitcoin will "going to end badly", is this something new that needs too much attention?

These are just words. How can he actually interfere with bitcoin?
An official can help or make the situation worse for bitcoin in a country where she's elected. But just as you've said, they're just words.

But what if, she and the others take it seriously and just propose a rule that's not favorable to bitcoin and instead giving hardship to its acceptance and adding more rule for better regulation of them.

She can't really interfere except to propose legislation which would only (initially) impact the US.

Anyone who listens to her is probably as stupid as she is - someone who has never worked a day in her life, someone who falsely claimed to be something she isn't (not that it matters except it shows her character), someone who wants money and power and doesn't care what she has to do to get it.

She and her ilk are the enemies of bitcoin and liberty globally and it is important to point out that they want control for themselves, not freedom for everyone else.

She's focused on the "cryptocurrency as a highly speculative asset" based on the article and they've got a point there. Let's accept the fact that there are people who buy BTC and other cryptocurrencies out of FOMO. They do not know how it works and they probably won't care since all they want is for the price to go up.

If you intend to develop your investment plan based on what people tell and without resources, then most of your money will be lost.
Many people will attack Bitcoin, but if the price is affected by their words (and not their actions), then Bitcoin has not yet matured to become a safe haven.
The best time to invest is when everyone tells you not to invest.

The first thing I'm going to say to Warren is, you can't stop us with just statements and attacks like that. He's loading all angry bitcoin users for the umpteenth time. if he is allowed to attack then I believe we can all attack him with more than what he does. because his statement would trigger a prolonged chaos. We will immediately take action to silence him. O old lady, and have political integrity, you will not run for office in parliament if we do not vote in the elections. You are nothing and will never stop the fast tide of bitcoin adoption.
Like a ball, the more you press it in the water, the stronger the potential to turn things around (that's Bitcoin)

I don't give too much attention to these old politicians. They seem to be too old to understand this new advancing technology. Before they even understand things about Bitcoin, their minds are already setting up their old sets of standard which Bitcoin should meet. Bitcoin, being a new breakthrough in the world of finance, would certainly fail. And then they jump into conclusion that Bitcoin is one piece of a worthless experiment.

I totally understand Warren's position. She doesn't know anything about Bitcoin.
