The altcoin bear can be catalogued as a subspecies of the idealistic bear.
He believes bitcoin adoption have failed, because its price is increasing, so a altcoin must replace it.
He fails to understand that value comes first, and adoption is a consequence of it. People dont buy bitcoin to use as a currency, they buy it to protect themselves, from inflation, unemployment, health issues, etc. The value increases and then comes adoption by more people.
You will not have adoption by average people if the price is constantly falling. The only adoption you will have will be by Wall Street sharks, who need to buy it cheap and tame it, turning it into a copycat of the stock market, which is the opposite of what the idealistic bear is aiming.
The idealistic bear is a misguided individual, who believes money is not important, and ideology will feed children. His rethoric reminds me of rich socialists, who tells the middle classes to share their goods with the poor, while they wont do it themselves.
Money is important. Only the rich and powerful will tell you otherwise, and they brainwash people to stay poor their entire lives. Today the idea of making money with little or no effort is seem as wrong, but this is how the powerful make money. You cant win them with ideology, you should play in the same field.
The brainwashing is so strong that I actually dont believe the masses will adopt bitcoin, and maybe only 10-15% of the population will hold it. Bitcoin will be the equivalent of gold for the digital age, and will be used as a currency only to buy expensive things, like a house or a car.
