With respect to this issue I think we have to first understand that a lot of these "projects" require the participants to invest money in one way or the the other, which is very common these days. I think whatever project we decide to start up should be able to solve the problem of earning without investing. Proof of work, if you may or proof of activity. A project in which the average African who does not have the money to invest can invest his time and his "smarts" to make money for himself on the blockchain platfrom. Following from this, we also have to pick a platform that currently has a lot of africans engaged on it. Social media. I believe if we can create a blockchain social media platform that is uniquely African, we can be able to reach into Africa herself and help those who need it. From our seats.

To solve WHICH African problem? I think it's hard to come up with ideas or assist you in any way unless we know what you have till now and how much strength you hold to implement the project practically.

Don't expect Africans to download a core wallet or access the product on a chain. Your solution should be like a decentralized charity that feeds malnourished African kids. Anyone sending money to the charity address must have the confidence that money will be used to serve the purpose it's intended for.
Decentralized charity would be the only way which would really help out it might not completely solve out but somehow it would really be a big help. Ive been looking for those organizations or groups that do have the same motive or project but i cant really easily entrust funds and for op he didnt mention about the exact idea on his mind on what problem hes referring to.
There are good charities working around the corner but you never know what actually happens in Africa. There are many fake charities ran by scammers where money never makes it past the United States. The blockchain based project should be able to replace these with a generic decentralized charity that doesn't involve any middle parties. Only the donator and the food distributor.

Indeed there is a ton of charities working around in the community, one of the organizations that definitely have my trust is the water project organization (https://thewaterproject.org/). They give you a report for every donation that community makes (https://thewaterproject.org/give-water#). So, I bet the organization really solve the problems in Africa.
Try to check that link later on. It is good to see their transparency since they do make a report which is really an obligation. @Joel i agree on what you have said it would always be good to have direct tx with donator and the food distributor but there would still be a possibility that they wouldnt apply all the funds being accumulated from donators but if they do have that real-time tally and all necessary expenses then this would be convincing and due to scams it cant really be avoided for anyone to hesitate.

Why not create a blockchain project that focuses on teaching or educating Africans to earn for themselves(for example an online schoool using blockchain as it's backend)?
They hardly get a reliable internet connection in Africa.
That's just an example and if OP here is really serious about developing a new blockchain product to solve an African problem, he, together with his few partners can find a way for Africans to access their product with ease. They also might be able to gain more supporters that can help them achieve what they want to do even if the internet is intermittent there.

Like what Lao Tzu once said, "Give a man a fish, it will feed him only for a day. Teach a man to fish, and feed him for lifetime". Why not create a blockchain project that focuses on teaching or educating Africans to earn for themselves(for example an online schoool using blockchain as it's backend)? That way, you and your partners wouldn't only be helping them to get by for the day but for lifetime. It might be hard but I am sure someone out there can pull this off.

Firstly can you tell us what's your idea? I think you are just looking for them and aren't actually going to do anything in reality. Hang in blockchain, there is a lot of problem in that country, none blockchain project can solve them. Don't look for something modern, look for something that they need to escape from what they are in.
You can use blockchain for water/food charity transparency, this is must to do to help that country, especially kids.

Hi All,

I and Few Partners are interested in developing a blockchain product Into the African Continent that will have a real life Use Case to solve one of many Prevailing African Problems.
Please if you have any suggestion as to what project we could embark on? We would be very happy to hear your idea/s.
If also you have a project that fits into our objectives and will like to partner please feel free also to let us know, you never know we might just have a synergy.
All ideas/opinions are welcome and appreciated, but please keep it clean, professional and friendly. Thank you.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

i have a good idea. actually, but this is for regions under a certain clash situation where foreign investors have developed income sources and are in a conflict with local acfrican tribalists & communists. this is increasingly the case for all african countries and the clash situation is incresginly more diverse (from european farmers towards indian agriculture corporations, chinese farming combinat etc)
