I'll never buy bitcoins to hold. Butcoin is an awesome way to transfer credits. Anyone holding then is just gambling.

I almost agree. From an economic standpoint, mining has to be a lose money situation, or a thing that is done ONLY if you can't buy BTC. With Bitcoin prices more stable at say $1, they would be a more viable currency, I understand that. I was just sitting with my jaw dropped as it happened.

I mine.

And I dunno about that whole "stable currency" stuff -- if I want to use my BTC, I use my BTC.  Right now I have a short position on bitcoinica which is the only reason I want to see price drop.

Did I just watch Gox BTC prices fall into the last real wall before a plummet? Are we (As a community) scared?

Heh. It was beautiful. I can't wait to see that final wall get attacked, and for us to find real price parity.
