and burned like witches.

Tsk... Some of us (I think the religious poll showed 3) might take offense at that. Wink

Those three votes were my three accounts on this forum, and we're usually the ones burning the witches.

This all sounds a lot like dozens of movies I've seen. None really stick out in my memory though.

So I had to run some errands today, when I saw a person at a bench outside the mall toss a fast food bag out of a car at a trash can. Nothing out of the normal. But then a woman with a Macys bag walks over, and picks up the bag. Now Im thinking "Good on you lady for tossing that into the......bag in your other hand." The whole thing she never lost track of looking right in front of her. She never turned back, just kept walking to the edge of the mall and made a turn.
I always know when something is not right with situations and I think I saw one today. Considring that 90% of the people around here work for Nortrop, Raytheon, JPL. USAF, I am really starting to wounder if I should say something. and to who. and why?

Of course not.  You are imagining things.  Now, Sir, would you please look into this little red light for a minute?

An operator would place the drop then leave a chalk mark or some sign. The receiver would arrive much later, after a period of observation.

If it was government, he wouldn't have seen it.  A van would have driven by someone sitting on a bench and information would have been passed electronically and wirelessly without anyone ever seeing a thing.   Wink

A black van with a kill team has just been dispatched to your ip. Just to be ironic I'm having them dump your body in that same trash can. Grin

but seriously, drugs seem more likely than a dead drop. The way you described it was not up to par for a real spy.  An operator would place the drop then leave a chalk mark or some sign. The receiver would arrive much later, after a period of observation. You saw the sender and receiver, very unprofessional!

This is a typical method of selling ecstasy.  X dealers love malls because everyone is carrying bags and there are a lot of people around so robbery is less likely.  Weed or Coke buyers tend to want to see or taste the product first, so they don't normally deal like this.

You just saw a large ecstacy deal.

I've seen similar situations before, it's usually drug related.

that is odd.  nobody is going to put greasy fast food trash into their macy's bag containing something they either bought (if leaving) or are returning (if entering).

I always know when something is not right with situations and I think I saw one today.

malls have security cameras all over the place but it is only stored for a short while (just a day or so, sometimes)
