That's not a good thing you know? Maybe you are too number one gambling so you forget the more important thing that is working and coming late to work. I guess you have to change your mindset, do not give priority to gambling, always remember the time and remember what's the main and more important to you.

Exactly, either you do gambling as your work, which will be pretty awesome but its not for everyone, so better make a priority setting to your schedule and follow it. I did used to give more time to gamble at the beginning, to experiment and learn new form of gambling, but now I had to schedule and separate my gambling and work.

Everything should be according to schedules and it shouldn’t be mixed with your main activity which is your work or school. I guess it’s just a sort of mind settings that’s why other people became late at work or in school, most of the important time is wasted just for gambling because they’ve prioritized it most of the time. We should have to change this scenario now and act mature enough to handle activities within the right a period of time.

So far I never lose time for work because of gambling but I had to admit way back in school days, college days specifically I'm losing a lot of time with my subjects. And the bad thing is that I repeated 2 of my subjects because I would stay in a gambling place playing with those professional gamblers (who lives by gambling) that makes me feel challenged all the time.
Atleast you already learned your lesson, there's nothing wrong in playing gambling as long as it doesn't affect our priorities in life. If it affects our scheduled maybe qeee developing a bad habit in gambling that we need to resolve.

Yes I did learned from it before and I don't want to make a bad decision that will affect my career. I've got sometime to gamble but when my job is at risk I'm trying to settle it and gives the best decision for it. And I don't want to commit the same mistake again and that mistake will remain on my old days.

I have never spent too much time gambling to sacrifice working hours. Because, in my conscious state, i determined the job is more certain and profitable although tiring, also job is a sure income source.

Nope. I have never lose time any of my time because of gambling. In fact, I do not spend a lot of time in playing gambling because I know that if it became my habit, it may lead to addiction and that is what I am avoiding. I do not want to be addicted in gambling because I know how dangerous it is. I also don't want my family to be hurt because if ever that I became addicted, I would be the very first one in our clan and I don't want that to happen.
It's good you analyze that way, prevention is always better than cure, the moment you are addicted it's hard to get out because you are still looking for a chance to win back your loses. When you are addicted you might spend what you cannot afford anymore so it's better to prevent it, when you are losing focus on your job or in school because of gambling, you better stop gambling because it's a sign that you are addicted, it will just ruined your life if you will continue.

Some may call it a road to addiction but I believe there are times that you just lost track of time enjoying the game.
It did happen to me twice when I was still at a young age. Just playing poker with my buddies and then suddenly I didn't notice it was already dark outside. We started noon when the sun was still bright.  Grin
I think when you enjoy it too much you wont even bother looking at the time.

I don't think the problem with addiction is the amount of time spent in gambling. It is more of the amount of money spent in it. If you gamble the whole day, there is no problem if you are not sacrificing anything else for that time. But if you are gambling and you are gambling away all of your money, then that is where there is something wrong.

Correct. If too much money was spent and it cannot be stopped without getting back what the person lost then that is addiction.
If you are just having fun with just small bets on the table then that is just a game. In small countries this happens. They just want to use up the time when every house work is done. They want to relax. But with the OP's question it can happen too but that is just too irresponsible to happen. You should have limits or set an alarm.

Me too, I won't be allowing myself to let my job be affected with my addiction or with any gambling related action.

My reputation will be affected if someone sees and knew that because of gambling my work has been affected and it only one means when I lose time from my job because of gambling.

That I'm an irresponsible gambler.

I never admit even such an option. Why play, until such a moment to lose your job? Here the answer is one: a person depends on gambling.

I mean why do we need to waste our time gambling if we can earn a lot of money without betting our money into something we don't know if we will be winning or not. Why not invest or trade that money into something that we know we have a higher chance of having a good profit than gambling, yes we are still risking our money and time still we know that we have a chance of getting a profit right?

If you really believe gambling is for profit that is the time that we are wasting our time and money into gambling. But if you believe that gambling is something to release your stress and a form of entertainment then that is when you are not wasting your time. Yeah we can profit big time from our work or businesses or investments, but those are not really fun.

I am often late from work due to gambling. Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling?
Yes when I experience to be an addict as a gambler Im angry when Im late going to gambling area.I dont want anybody to disturb me.Even my kids I dont have time for them to prepare for their school things.Being single mom is very difficult, not only for their needs for me to provide but also for all their concerns and problems as my kids.
If you are a single mom, then I guess it must be the pressure or burden that you have on your shoulders which pushes you towards gambling. Maybe you find it a way to get some money but honestly speaking, from your words it appears you care about your kids. You are a woman now and women are really strong creatures. Don't ruin yourself in gambling.
No mom wont really care for their children but there are really times that we do foolish thing which would cause on not having a time for our child anymore which is really bad.If you do exchange them because of gambling then it is really a different story because i can really consider that you are addicted on gambling which you already comes to a point that you are getting angry if you cant play that is really a bad thing to be stopped.Better to focus on more things which would be essential and would really be worth of your time on earning money instead on spending it on gambling.Burdens are normal specially you are a single mom.

I don't experience that, I don't experience often late from work due to gambling and I don't lose time from work or school due to gambling why? Because I am not addicted in gambling. I do not play much more than 2 hours and up. I'm always thinking on my responsibilities on school, home and work. Most gamblers lose their time on school, work and home because of their addiction on gambling. Yeah! That's true that if you already start to gamble no one could ever try to stop you unless you already decided to quit the game. Losing time on other special things will be lock of responsibility.

This happened to me very often and even in the present. I usually place bets, make profit and walk away happily while the profits still last in my pocket. Sometimes greed gets the better of me and I place more bets from the former profit derived and lose them. At this point I'm breaking even but the bet placed and the time taken for the outcome of my wager is clearly waste of productive time may it be my college or work.
