Oh, if that happens, I do not envy. Pomoymu except how to write in the support is no way out. I always write down my data in several places for storage. It's your money and it's easy to lose it. Do not be too careless. Safety is most important. So good luck to you.

Did you lose BTC somehow? forgot passord, computer crash ...

Few years ago, when i was still a newbie in bitcoin industry, i make a bitcoin wallet in blockhain.info and all i knew is that i need to save up my username and password and thats all. I dont even know that i also need to save up my private key to access my account whenever i forgot my password. If i still remember my wallet have 1+ bitcoin.  Even now i can still remember my stupidity as a newbie. If only i could turn back the time.

It didn't happen to me because I always make sure to make a note of my private key, username and password of my wallet or important accounts listed on my personal notebook. so if ever my computer or my phone will crash I can still use it in my other device.

I lived this and it was so depressing for me. I forgot the private key of my bitcoin address and I lost about 0.15 btc in there. Never get it back, lost forever.

I didn't lost bitcoins due to reasons that you mentioned. If computer would crash, I wouldn't lose my bitcoins, because I keep my private keys in a safe place. Forgot password? No! I can forget my email or some services accounts password, but not my wallet password. I'm using this word often, so I can't forget it.
I only lost little bitcoins after stupid investments, but that's another case.

I never lose my Bitcoin because i always make multiple backup from copying encrypted wallet to another hdd/flash memory and write mnemonic seed on paper then keep it at secure/hidden location.

I have only ever lost small amount of bitcoins from faucets when I first started to do anything with bitcoin. Small amounts so I suppose if everyone is in the same boat the 21 million bitcoin out there will always become less. You have to really feel for people that lost whole bitcoin back in the early days. I was reading through old posts on here on lending and there was someone wanting a loan of 10btc and people were like that's 100 dollars don't think anyone would lend that.

When I earned Bitcoin from faucet, I lost 10 mBTCs because I lost access to the email I registered on the wallet, it’s quite a lot if I redeem them now.

I've never lost any bitcoins, I don't like keeping them on my local machine, so I use blockchain.info's wallet. It seems very safe and secure for my use. Also I can use it wherever I want on any device I desire.

Nope never lost any but I do know friends who have lost their key's in the past. Hopefully for those that have lost, the amount was not significant.

No, I haven't lost bitcoins because of such things but I have lost it because of bad decision when investing bitcoins. I don't know which is worse, to forget password and feel stupid because of that or to lose bitcoins that you have saved for months and make some stupid decision on exchanger. Always be careful what you do otherwise you might regret it.

For campaign management, please pm me.
I did not but similarly I lost some great tokens that is worth a lot of bitcoin today, because of inputing a wrong ethereum address and trying to integrate to MEW. The ethereum address I have used apparently doean't contain a pruvate key and was just a crappy app. A lot of token is stuck on where it was and been tryin' to wait for the time until this crappy app upgrade and finally have its private key and not just a pass code.

I might have... I clearly remember reading about BTC on some forum and setting up a cpu (or gpu?) miner near the very beginning of the network (must have been around 2010-2013). It was on an old PC, but my wife didn't like the fact that is was running 24/7, and asked me to shut it down.

I can not remember wether or not i found a block back then... BTC didn't have much value, and i don't think i completely grasped the concept anyway. Back then, to me, it was just some fun new technology to play with. The PC is long gone, and so is the HD... I might have mined some blocks, i might have dedicated a lot of cpucycles but never hit a block,... I'll never know.

i've once had a wallet in bitcoin core and had some very few dollars in the wallet.
unfortunately somehow my bitcoin core software formatted and contains no info., i've never minded about having backedup the wallet as it is a secure wallet. if i've recovered it then i'll have around $400 now. Cry Cry Cry

I had once an electrum wallet installed on my computer. This was 2-3 years ago, when I just started with bitcoin. I was receiving bicoin from faucets and I remember that the mininim that was sent to me was 0.001 bitcoin (1 mBitcoin).  I also rememeber that I had one receiving transaction of 1 mBitcoin into this wallet. I forgot about thiw wallet for about 2 years then opened it. When I opened it there was no bitcoin inside, so I can say I lost 0.001 bitcoin. Now it would have been 3-4 USD, not important. There is also a chance that I never received that transaction from the faucets or that I do not remember.
