the difference between the two is in investing is letting others control your money or bitcoin for them to give you profit
but in trading you yourself actually control your money or bitcoin for it to gain some profit

I think both trading and investing take risk.
Investment can do holding bitcoin for long time and wait for the price to rise to gain profit. Investment can do also by trusting a company to handle your money. Trading is one you take for short time to get profit. Being watchful on the price chart yo analyze how much will it be to get the high price to cell.
The coin to trade can get through earning it from campaigns. After trading, you have a choice if you are going to use it for investment or spend it.

For me personally the difference between trading and investing is, trading is more likely on buying coins and then selling it when the value is high. While investment is lending money on an ICO and hoping for a bigger income. And investment is more like involves spending money on some ICOs like buying a lot of coins then holding it for a long time, while tradings are those coins you gain in a bounty campaign you collect them them trade them or sell them after a while. They are somehow related to each other.

For me the investing is when you are likely to invest or gave a money in 1 web site and allow it have a profit with out doing and the trading is an investment decision that you need to work for and I think the investment is risky because you are not holding your money but in trading you hold your very own cash.

Investing is more of a long-term endeavor whereas trading is short-term. You typically don't touch your investments, as opposed to trading where you're consistently moving them.

Trading and investing are both two worlds that have their own set of agendas and nature, but have the same primary purpose, which is to either gain profit or in exchange for something that is essential to both. Trading involves two parties wherein one provides services to other in exchange for payment or a thing. On the other hand, investing involves only one party wherein the individual uses their money for an investment to an institution or entity, that both benefits thereto. They are different in nature but all both benefits the users who participated.

With trading we need good time to be spent on keeping track of the price movement and take necessary steps to gain the profit, which also requires capital investment based on which the profiting happens. With investment, the risk is low and not much time need to be spent. It all happens with time, we need to find the trusted source and make the investment, rest happens based on the growth experienced.

I will correct you. You watch price of bitcoin closely every day if you decide to be a day trader. Some people buy
when price is falling and they wait for weeks to take some profit. You have people who hold bitcoin for long period.
All that is trading and investing in the same time, differences are just in waiting, do you agree?

When you say investing it involves time to grow profit, and through trading you frequently buy he goods and sell it on a higher value to have profit.

They are very different things, and those who say that they are the same, probably they have never invested into a project or they have never traded. They are very different things, trading is just being a person who exchanges coins for other coins and sell them for the initial coin again until it makes X profit.
and investing in a "coin" is just buy a coin at 0.01, and sell it a few months later when the price reaches 0.03, it is not difficult to understand the terms, maybe you should learn a bit more.

I'm not confused that trading is a type of investment and I'm been arguing with my friends about this matter too. They keep on telling that trading is different in investing, because in investing that it's a way of you'll just do nothing and put your money into a certain company and they will use that fund to grow it, like in cooperatives and banking services. I just really can't get what they are trying to say.

Well, I think trading probably it is some how like what come in the market place what we have seen in any kind of store in our environment they sell their products in order to gain more profitable income, such away that there is money involved here in selling any kind of products it more effective way of gain more, While in investing your money it is a kind or strategy which your money will keeping up, it is safe than other ways, I think it is good also to invest. well it depends upon to the holder of money.

Well im confused since for me trading is a way to invest, soo i dont see any real difference, since you put your money at risk expecting to roi after some period, depending of the nature of your investment, like casino bankroll you will earn money just by funding those, while at trading you need to buy and sell the coin to get profit besides those i dont see any difference.

Trading is probably what most people do with altcoins. They trade them back and forth between USD or BTC. They do it short term and make money when they can.

Investing usually has a longer period of time that you need to hold the investment itself. Usually for years or more.

Short term trading = trading in under a year usually.

Investing over a year.

Hey bro I think that you haven't fully understand the question of this thread, OP didn't mention anything about Bitcoin investing but investing in general, and obviously there is really no such thing as investing in an HYIP because you are just putting your money and hoping that you will be rewarded or get paid from the money of newer members which is most likely close to stealing. A real investing comes from putting your money on actual asset may it be stocks or real estate which is way more better than risking your money on a fake investment.

The only big difference i see in this two types of investments are the risk of lossing and share of earning funds.For me i think buying and selling has much less danger of lossing money not like investing in hyips .Also earning money is alot less difficult in trading.

They really have a very big difference and often people misunderstood these terms especially to those who are not really understand the market or just a newbie when it comes to it. To make it clear, the difference between investing and trading is that in investing it is something that you're investments is being handed by anybody else that you trust to wherein in trading it is where you are the one working for your money or assets to grow in your own ways. Investing is risky especially if your money is being put onto some scammers as well as trading but not that much because it has only risk if the one you being trade will down rapidly and does you need to wait again if the price increases but somehow I prefer trading especially in bitcoin.
