it should be DigiCube.conf  not  Digicube.conf

There's nothing wrong with it, as long as the filename is correct whether it consists of uppercase or lowercase letters they are acceptable.

DigiCube.conf is necessary

DigiCube Android v1.8 update IMPORTANT

So the update should be rolling out soon. Due to the messy nature of this fork I had to figure out a way to roll back blocks inside the client.

That was way too much of an effort so I came up with this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mystphysx.wallet.digicubemanager

Here is the update procedure:
1. Tap on DELETE BLOCK AND PEER DATA. This also backs up the wallet.dat file to your default internal storage folder (e.g /storage/emulated/legacy or e.g /storage/emulated/0) where your Pictures/Music/Videos folders are).
2. Tap on DOWNLOAD BOOTSTRAP.DAT
3. You can make a .conf if you wish and place it in your default internal storage folder. If you do this tap on COPY DIGICUBE.CONF.
4. Start the wallet and let it load all the blocks from the bootstrap.
5. Once it opens fine you can reopen DigiCube Manager and tap on DELETE OLD BOOTSTRAP.
6. You're done!

These instructions are standard and are self explanatory if you read the description for the DigiCube Manager app. Always backup your wallet.dat and export private keys. If you mess shit up despite my clear instructions it's not my fault.

I have had issues with banning old nodes before, so I chose to forego it in CUBE

Yes, it's only a few lines, but adding more network rules just for convenience really mucks up efficiency. Even if it's a very small amount of work, that is added stress on each node. No reason to ban them in CUBE, though, because most people are very diligent and update quickly

We also have the 'On the Web' tab in the wallet. I can add updates and alerts in there if needed. Network alerts are something I should have been doing, though, I will agree with that, but I have just been swamped trying to get a whole lot of things together at once

Most of you don't even have any idea what I've been working on the past couple months  Wink

at least you could make a seed node that way, to feed us from clean source.
i'm pretty tired of syncing that soab every time for 30-40 min

I have many seeds up that are full of peers. They are on the FreeStaking.com DNS

Still can't connect to the pool with my S1 for sha256 mining. Is paul looking into that?

Bitcoin Block Reward Halving Countdown

Reward-Drop ETA date: 12 Jul 2016 07:15:12

Gonna be an epic summer this year Cheesy

>
The bitcoin mining system ensures that there will always be a constant increase in the bitcoin supply until all of the coins have been mined. Even if demand for bitcoin falls, miners will continue to pump out new coins. With gold, miners deal with falling demand by selling larger portions of their products to industry or by decreasing output. Neither of these things are possible with bitcoin; the actual tokens have no industrial use, and a dynamic block reward would require major overhauls to the Bitcoin protocol that would likely be unpopular. Thus, the bitcoin supply will constantly increase at a steady rate until all the coins have been mined, regardless of demand. Even after the supply has been completely mined, the lack of industrial use leaves no avenue for coins to flow into when demand falls below the supply.

industry-bitcoinistBitcoin is not at a complete disadvantage when it comes to short-run inflation, however. The Bitcoin protocol has block reward halvenings, where the amount of bitcoins gained from successfully hashing a block is cut in half. This feature keeps bitcoin’s short term inflation restrained, as the rate of growth is periodically decreased.

Will be interesting to see how the altcoin markets will follow
