These two coins/assets/whatever are both such a load of bullshit. You're trusting the creator of the 100% premined shit to send you whatever share they decide your due. There's no trustless disbursement. In the case of BARR it seems like a ploy to try and draw people into the NXT ecosystem, started around the same time that NXT price started diving towards Hades. In the case of Digital Credits, seems more of a straight up scam, where 100% preminer is just trying to get some value behind his premined stash so he can dump. Imo, you're better off just holding your old (almost) worthless coins than burning them for these guys; I think there's a better probability an old coin could be resurrected than you'll ever see any real value develop behind BARR or Digital Credits.
Well said.. i have to go by spec's here guys and Jwinterm pointed out a flaw in BARR
and the other guy seems to just be pulling a copy cat scheme created hastily by a paid coder on behalf of a teenager.
I won't be having anything to do with BARR stuff but i got to side with him on this topic here.
EDIT:
@OP
You have ruined your own project here on this topic with your very own replies.
At this point you have no one but yourself to blame for it's failure.
Hey Spoetnik, wondered when you would share your two cents, I was beginning to think you didn't love me.
Look the only way that I can prove to you guys that you are wrong about me is to just keep doing what I'm doing. As far as Barr goes, they have been attacking me endlessly since I announced. Those guys seem convinced that they invented Proof of Burn, a concept that has been around for ages. Worse is that they think they own it. There will be more PoB coins coming out down the road, the smart thing would be to focus on their own project and stop trying to attack other people's character. But they will do what they do, I can't stop them. At the end of the day, we are all a copy of Bitcoin.
And just to Clarify I'm not a teenager, I'm a 38 year old man. And yes I am paying a developer to maintain and update the code. I have never tried to imply anything else. I know you guys think that's a weakness, but I see it as a strength as it allows me to focus on other things and not worry about the code. December 1 is coming, if you don't trust me just sit back and watch what happens. I have spent a great deal of money and time getting all the pieces in place. If the goal of this coin is a scam then I'm going about it all wrong don't you think? I certainly would not have posted my true identity and home address if my intention was to rip anyone off. That would be incredibly stupid of me. Not to mention, the burn fund address is publicly available, if I made any attempt to dump those coins the public would figure it out really quickly which would tank the value and make the coins worthless.
As far as the idea behind this coin and PoB, I didn't invent Proof of Burn, I got the idea from reading posts on this forum. I got it into my head to create a PoB coin 6 months ago. Can I prove this? No, I can't, but at the end of the day what dose it matter? Yes, I stole the idea of Proof of Burn, but I didn't steal it from them. I was influenced in the same way that every other ALT Coin in existence was influenced. Their launch did accelerate the launch of Digital Credits as I was originally shooting for a January 1 launch. But that is the extent of their influence on this coin. And keep in mind, Barr is posting in my threads, I'm not posting in theirs, that should give you a good indication of who has the better character.
As far as my replies last night goes, I got a little out of hand. It had been a long day, I was stressed out over the pool issues, and had consumed a few beers. Then out of No where the Barr trolls started attacking my character, to say I overreacted is a fair statement. But I am going to try my best to make Digital Credits work. I'm here to stay and I'm not going anywhere. So FUD away on me if your like, I'm from Brooklyn, I can take it.
At the end of the day I will still be here standing, and so will Digital Credits.
