By "time sensitive" are you referring to LIVE bets? Had no idea you could deposit to DB so I may check that out.

I was using Coinbase as my wallet and 3 or 4 times it was horribly slow sending a bet to DirectBet.

I've switched to using a wallet I've created at blockchain.info, as DirectBet recommends above, and so far no delays.
Coinbase has other issues as well which make me uncomfortable.
I would recommend using a wallet from blockchain.info which is cloud based, or finding a highly recommended wallet to use that is based on your own computer.

Another thing to note here is that since your wallet is BlockChain.info, the time that you see in the link above is the time in which you initiated the transfer. However, this is not the time in which it was delivered, the transfer was broadcasted in a delay, you can confirm that by looking at a 3rd party block chain explorer :

This has happened to me on a few occasions with DirectBet. I bet in game for the world cup and the match was over by the time my "pending" bet was accepted. Luckily, I won the bet but the odds were much worse than they were 15 minutes before I placed the bet

Apparently this transaction has a very small output and is none standard and therefore the transfer is delayed.

Your bet will be processed as soon as the transfer is received.

If you place a negotiated bet before the start of the game, and by the time the game starts your bet remains unconfirmed because the odds never reached the minimum odds that you specified, then your bet will be canceled and refunded automatically when the game starts.

That's what happened with your bet.
