It's mostly because of huge loses. Now everyone says and thinks that gambling is a really profitable business for the owner and indeed it profitable but sports betting doesn't depend much on luck when compared with other sites and nowadays we see so many people predicting and most of those end up winning. At least they didn't scam anyone and made a public announcement before closure
Directbet site owners are the genuine guys who really cared for their reputation that is why i think that they closed the site down due to the loss they are occurring due to high Transaction fees to get confirmed the transaction and as they are having feature of no account and as soon as the game is finished they just clear the bets and send to the winners so for this lot of transaction have to be done and due to this they were facing loss as that fees is borne by the site and they are going in loss.
So without scamming the users they just stopped the service and moved on their life to another way. but still they are keeping the site active in hope that one day this problem will be solved so that they can start back this project.
Yeah I guess, or maybe they have cashed out what they can because of the bitcoin prices and they just want to exit it all and just live in the Bahamas. We'll never know unless they would make an official announcement somewhere. If there is, I hope to read it and know their reason. From their website there was no such explanation.

Having no account features on betting is the main reason why directbet are popular, But due to slow bitcoin network. They are forced to input huge amount fee in able to transfer fast. One of the reason for closure is bankruptcy.If you we're in a business you only close if your bussiness is not working or it is not moving or you dont have profit entering to your account.How could I continue if im not gaining.

I am very upset to see such a great and unique site closing. As far as I know this was the only betting site where you don't had to deposit anything and directly bet(hence the name). Ot was my go to website for betting, because of the obvious reason I didn't like depositing anywhere and then spend rather this direct betting on a match is much easier. Sad to see such a great website go.

It is really surprising and I don't think they will ever reveal the reason behind this decision they have made. May be it is something big that they can't/don't want to share with public. I can't find any reason for one of the biggest bitcoin sportsbook closing in this way.
I didnt expect to for one of the most or even top sports book in the market have closed unexpectedly whatever the reason do they have then we should respect it and for sure there are lots of sports enthusiast would really be sad on this sudden closure of the site but its still okay there are lots of sportsbook in the market to choose of.
