This seems to be a troll thread.

OBSI sold 1MHS shares for 0.10 and bought them back for 0.10, and he also sold ABMO shares for 0.10 and bought them back for 0.10, and he is also in the process of buying back all of HRPT for IPO price.

So, if hes such the scammer you claim he is, why is he buying them back at all?

 Huh and?

I didn't have any ponzi (or not?) shares. I just read that he bought back shares.

It seems kind of stupid, though. Either he buys them all back (no ponzi), or he is just reducing his own profit.

People should take no bet in such "asset" that lack of information. Let's consider this scenario:

What if OBSI use the money he raise to buy a lottery? Of course, in such scenario, he could not release any information about his "business model".

Most likely the lottery "investment" will lose.  However,  what if he wins and buy back all the shares? (some lottery has very big possibility to win a small money, though the return expectation is negative) Is this still a ponzi?

I have pointed out in the OBSI.HR' thread, that dust's picture proves nothing. Any stocks that raise more money than the dividend paid out can deliver the charts he draws. "ponzi profit" is a speculation. (of course it's very likely the truth but we are not sure.)

If you really want to bet something like OBSI is a ponzi, you should know that you are betting. if you lose the bet, don't surprise. be a gentle gambler.

If someone is trying to take a short position in a likely Ponzi scheme, he has no advantage who is long this likely Ponzi scheme. It is the conclusion I got before I'm thinking about shorting Pirate40. Man, he is paying 7% interest a week. If you short it, you likely will pay 8% or 9% a week. what if the collapsing happened 10 weeks later than you thought( that's very possible and you don't know) , or the Ponzi runner actually win a lottery, which adds up some other possibilities for the Ponzi short position to lose money?

Basically, I don't take bet on the Ponzi, no matter long or short.

Is ANYONE surprised? FFS!
Pirate runs, OBSI comes back with the same deal but variable interest rates. Obviously nobody would ever borrow long-term at those rates.
As the graph in that thread showed, it was a successful ponzi scheme. I was just about to short it Roll Eyes

I simply can't believe that anyone would lose money in it.

be careful. I once thought about shorting Pirate40 and did not take any action. It's dangerous to involve in a ponzi (like scheme) , no matter you're long or short.

Bought Obsi 1MHS for 0.06 BTC and he bought them back for 0.1 BTC so I have no reason to complain.

I wish I had bought more than 5 shares, though.

What me really surprises is that he bought back HRP shares. I would have bet that this was a ponzi.

Obsi has deleted all of his posts in his asset threads besides the OP.  He has fully bought back FUTUREFUND and OBSI.1MHS. 1500 shares of OBSI.HRPT have also been bought back. I'm surprised he didn't just run from all of his assets, as he was unverified and I assume no one knows who he is.

Not sure where he stated that he's closing all his assets on GLBSE? But anyway, original thread was 16 pages before lock, now its 11. So shady.

The sad part about the OBSI.HRPT scheme is he didn't have to make it crash. It clearly says that it pays out between zero and one percent.

A little variation would have made it seem as though it was based off of a real-world revenue stream, as well as letting it last longer.

It makes me shudder to think of the ponzi schemes people could come up with if they actually tried... at least the simple ones are obvious.

Denominating them in bitcoin is probably their biggest mistake.

Do them in fiat, use the fiat to buy bitcoins, and they would likely last a whole lot longer.

So, Obsi is making a break for the exit. He is closing all his GLBSE assets, and locking all the threads. I thought I would open this thread for people to continue the discussions that have been locked.

Like, for instance, is OBSI.HRPT a collapsing ponzi? How much has everybody lost in all his assets? etc, etc.
