On this news I will go and find my Star Wars stuff in the basement and get it sold.  I hear it dropping in value as I type.

The reason for me being so skeptical about Disney is because I watched the Lion King again recently for lulz and my adult self couldn't understand why my child self liked it at all, it was terrible! Yes, okay parts here and there but the only reason you could like it is if you hadn't experienced anything else which is probably why these awful kids shows do so well in suckering children into watching them. If they plan on turning Star Wars into something like Lion King then I don't know what I'm going to do with myself because the Star Wars universe has been butchered enough, maybe they should just let it die already.

Didn't see this one coming. Hopefully Disney doesn't screw it up.

Can't do worse than Lucas.

Imagine Star Wars as a musical, then tell me if you think they can again.

It's only a matter of time.

Then take that, and then replace the entire cast with a bunch of kids and Hugh Laurie as Obi-Wan or something. Not sure if that'd be better or worse.

Than Jar-Jar? much better.

Very true. I shudder as I remember that horrid monster.

The prequels already were that kind of Kitsch Disney is spewing up.

Seems a fitting match for me.

OK, not much worse. Wink

Darth Vader: What Are You Going to Do Next?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUbH1SEsqiE

I can't click that link at the moment, but there's two things I'm reminded of:

Eddie Izzard: Death Star Canteen
and
Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager

Look them up!

I'm hopeful that the next Star Wars movie will be better than the prequels, at least. I liked KotOR II a lot (didn't play the first one yet). The Star Wars universe has potential.

Get Lucas as far away as possible from the franchise.

This.

Just don't let me see Mickey Mouse anywhere near it, I might get upset.
