Awesome, looks like an interest product. At derivatives market we need a true decentralized exchanges - but some of competitors still in development mode Sad

My team represent ContractMarketCap.com - world's first derivatives market data platform.
Looks like a coinmarketcap, but with strong focus to derivatives, such as futures, swaps and options (coming soon).

If we want to integrate connector for your exchange, where i can find API docs? Or who can help us?

Lot of thanks. Feel free to contact us - [email protected] or DM.

Major Update: No profit limit

Today we have rolled out a major update to our smart contracts. Following numerous requests from our customers, we have changed the structure to remove the profit cap on the positions.

Now, a position can be closed only in the following 3 events:
the contract has reached its expiration block
liquidation price for the position was reached
user closed the position manually through the order book

The profit is now unlimited and traders can benefit from big swings in the price.
Note: To move funds from the old contract to the new one, go to Menu > Smart Contracts and select the previous Base contract from the dropdown, withdraw your funds and then choose the latest contract and make a deposit.

Similarly when comparing a Buy order at the same price of 9000$ but with 100X leverage, the liquidation price on BitMEX is 8957$, while the same value for DMEX stands at 8910$! The higher the leverage, the higher the proportional difference. In the 100X case, the distance from price to liquidation is more than TWICE! higher on DMEX (90$ compared to 43$).
Okay, but how? Why can you offer a better liquidation price than Bitmex? What happens when there's a flash crash? You probably won't be able to market sell those 100x leveraged longs, and thus lose a lot of money..

Or am i missing something?

Hi, thanks for the question!

Although visibly DMEX looks and operates exactly as a centralized exchange, it has a different underlying structure.

Whenever a trade is performed, it is performed between two traders in a P2P decentralized fashion.

So let’s take for example two traders, one is going long Bitcoin at 10000 USD and 5x leverage and another trader is going short bitcoin at 10000 USD with 5x leverage. A contract is created between the two, each one putting up 2000 USD as collateral and having their liquidation prices at 8000$ and 12000$ respectively.

So if the price goes above 10000$ the Short pays the Long, and if the price goes below 10000 the Long pays the Short. This way there is no need to have a reserve added to the liquidation price to mitigate liquidity risks because the loss and the profit are already fully collateralized.

DMEX vs BitMEX

Like if everything above wasn't enough, DMEX offers a much better liquidation price than centralized exchanges. We have performed several experiments to compare the conditions on DMEX and BitMEX and what we found out, surprised even us. For an identical Buy order of 1 BTC @ 9000$ with 3X leverage, the liquidation price on BitMEX is 6776$, while the liquidation price on DMEX is 6000$! A huge difference.

DMEX.App is the first-ever decentralized margin trading exchange!

It is important to note that DMEX is firstly an Exchange and then it is Decentralized also. This means that there are no usual frictions and tradeoffs associated with decentralized exchanges. DMEX behaves like a usual centralized exchange: trades execute instantly, there is no competing for orderers (all orders are executed on the first-come, first-served basis). Moreover, DMEX has significant advantages over traditional exchanges:

- Full security of funds (unhackable, unstealable)
- Position liquidations performed through a decentralized Oracle based on the price source. Owners of DMEX cannot manipulate the price to liquidate your position.
- Flexible Expiration dates for positions - this is something we haven't seen anywhere else. You can choose when you want your position to expire from Perpetual (never expiring), 1h, 3h, 8h, 24h, 3d, 7d, 30d, 90d, and perpetual contracts.
- No Liquidity risk. Sometimes, when you open a position you are worried if there will be enough liquidity to close the position without incurring a huge slippage cost. Not on DMEX. Due to the structure of DMEX all positions are fully collateralized, if there are no orders in the order book, your position will settle in full on the expiration date (the flexible expiration dates come in handy here).
