Little Debbie is incapable of thought unless it involves a talking point or a deflection.. I expect the same behavior from those who are going to rush to defend her.

Idiotic comparison. Tell us, is there no difference between individual members of the GOP? Of course there is just like there are differences between the individual Dems. BTW the GOP has NO problem whatsoever taking money from other people to support platforms THEY like so does that mean the GOP are socialists?

So lobbying is socialism now?

Nice try.

Of course, there are differences between individual Democrats, but the fact remains that many Democrats are socialists, or democratic socialists, if you prefer.

And the fact remains that a self-confessed socialist is running for the Democratic nomination for president. Evidently, the difference between Democrats and socialists is blurred, at best.

Here's Mediaite's coverage of Tingles' interview with DWS, which provides a little more background info involving Comrade Bernie Sanders...

I find it amusing that DWS dodged Matthews' question about the difference between her and a socialist. I'll take that as a nadda.

What was that about Sanders' “progressive populist message”?

Very revealing. The Communist Party USA said something along the same lines several weeks ago:

Bernie Sanders 'political revolution'

Things Get Awkward When Matthews Asks DNC Head About Bernie Sanders, Socialism
by Josh Feldman | 8:43 pm, July 30th, 2015

Chris Matthews chatted with DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz tonight and things got awkward fast when they dived into talking about Bernie Sanders.

Matthews asked Wasserman-Schultz if, even if he loses, Sanders would have a place at the DNC convention, seeing as how he’s really popular with the base and could fire up a Democratic audience before the election.

She said he should get to speak, but Matthews kept prodding away to see if he would be allowed to speak in primetime instead of “when nobody’s watching.”

Wasserman-Schultz talked up his “progressive populist message” that people like, when Matthews asked her point-blank, “What’s the difference between a Democrat and a socialist? I used to think there was a big difference. What do you think it is?”

Wasserman-Schultz ducked the question, but Matthews pressed her and said, “You’re the chairman of the Democratic Party. Tell me what’s the difference between you and a socialist.”

She insisted that the bigger debate is the gulf between the Democrats and the Republicans on the issues...

Classic!
"Oh,I don't know the answer to that;better deflect it somewheres else"
Hey now;It says something that Matthews asked a question like that.
It proves he has more of an open mind than some portray him to have.

That episode should have been titled 'Curveball with Chris Matthews'.

This might be the funniest video of the year.

When Chris "Tingles" Matthews asked Debbie Wasserman Schultz "What's the difference between a Democrat and a socialist?" the DNC chairwoman couldn't come up with an answer.

When you've got a socialist running for the Democratic nomination for president, what is the difference, Ms. Schultz?

Video c/o MSNBC and transcript c/o RealClearPolitics:

Chris Matthews vs. Debbie Wasserman Schultz: "What's The Difference Between A Democrat And A Socialist?" (w/ video)

On MSNBC's Hardball Thursday night, host Chris Matthews stumped DNC Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) when he asked her what the difference is between a Democrat and a socialist.

"What is the difference between a Democrat and a socialist?" Matthews asked, leaving Wasserman Schultz at a loss for words.

"I used to think there is a big difference. What do you think it is?" Matthews tried again. "A Democrat like Hillary and a socialist like Bernie Sanders."

Wasserman Schultz again was unable to answer and instead tried to tell Matthews what the difference between a Democrat and a Republican is.

"The more important question is what is the difference between being a Democrat and being a Republican," she said.

"What's the big difference between a Democrat and a socialist?" Matthews again asked.

"You're chairman of the democratic party. Tell me the difference between you and a socialist," Matthews reminded her.

"The relevant debate that we'll be having this campaign is what's the difference between a Democrat and a Republican," Schultz said.

Schultz, however, was able to tell the difference between a Democrat and a Republican.

"The difference between a Democrat and Republican is that Democrats fight to make sure everybody has an opportunity to succeed and the Republicans are strangled by their right-wing extremists," she said.

Sure, this is funny, but in a sense it's not. It's no secret that "progressives" are socialists, and "progressives" like Barack Obama have overrun the Democratic Party.

Thanks to DWS for belaboring the point..
