Altcoins also have future, even if there are so many of them. If you look at all altcoins here https://coinmarketcap.com/, you can find that ETH is quite large market, if we compare with Bitcoin. Even other altcoins, like Ripple, Dash, Litecoin also have many users, so its market is also quite large. Shortly altcoins have stable market for future, the question is which altcoins will be most popular in short - long term, so may be ETH righ now.

All Altcoin depend on the development of its founders, the original can it attract investors and has much potential, but if the founders do not care and develop it, it can be removed from the world cryptocurrency

Yes, not all altcoins have a future, but those have a good project behind them have very bright future. A new coin deeponion just comes in the market and in very short span of just some days, touch its high of above 5$ and all deeponions are distributed to community members free through weekly airdrops, no ICO.

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
LTC has a future, as we have seen with segwit, LTC activated it first and if there is something wrong the devs can take note and make adjustments, so think of LTC as a sandbox for bitcoin, about ETH, I do not know, the idea of smart contracts seems nice, but nothing has come out of it yet.

Yes, but their future depends on the success of project or product and only some altcoins will have real future.
some of them won't exist after a while.
This is a big world and its going to continue rising and we will meet more permanent altcoins in coming years.

Of course they do have a future! But their security systems should be as good as bitcoin. Altcoins that are safe as bitcoin are already valuable such as eth. For that reason altcoins with good backround certainly have a future. For example i believe swarm fund is a good project that has a nice potential...

Depends on the product/idea. Also probably 50% of all coming icos are scams. I have some coins e.g. Golem which a good idea but others are only speculative.

I think most of today's altcoin will not exist in some years. There is token inflation happening right now imho. Also the lifecycle of an altcoin is not really long. The timeframe between getting hyped and being forgotten are only some months very often. So you better won't marry your alt bags to make profit.

I do not think tx fees are so much of a problem now that we have segwit already activated which means this will be an issue of the past

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?
Altcoins fall in two categories new generation and old generation and I think old gen altcoins are more inclined as general virtual currencies and the new gen has gone for a specific use which will guarantee their future existence as they are more practical to use

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.
ethereum has a strong developer team which will take it a long way

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
i honestly think bitcoin needs other altcoins to survive

Yes. All alt coins have a great future ahead. As you can now, they have gained a lot of investors in every project they make. They all have a successful project as well as successful programs. Those people who are leading it are very eager to make every campaigns successful and at the same time promoting alt coins.

We cannot say that only bitcoin will last on the near future.
Let us remember that even though bitcoin has been a foundation of other emerging altcoins, it simply cannot include all the features that other altcoins have nowadays.
Other altcoins can offer you something that the bitcoin wasnt originally made for, meaning there is a plenty of us to choose from the variety of we have right now.
And by having a different features as what bitcoin has i think they will also last.

Bitcoin is dominating the entire crypto currency but that would not mean it is the only one who will last.
There are good altcoins who's mission is for long term and we could assure that their system will be upgraded as developers are not unknown.

Various altcoins are needed in the diversity of the trading market, and also to increase the price of bitcoin, I think altcoin still has its own role, if we look from various perspectives then altcoin is divided into two: altcoin that have real business, and altcoin that appears only for profit and then disappear, we must be good at seeing this because both are equally profitable, altcoin in the first option obviously has a bright future.

The business has been moved to altcoin, just check the coinmarketcap how large it is!

And how much money is going in ICO and in other new coins which some of them are really good and have a good potential to succeed in the future!

I think the use of tokens form waves or ether to use on icos will be the best way to crowdfund real icos. and use the tokens to pay for services, so i think they have a future if properly use them.

They have sort of a future. You gain massive amount money, if you invest in the right time and sell it on the right time. Many people are investing in it. So do i, but you can also lose money, but you need to take risks.

Only problem I see about bitcoin are the high fees to be paid for each transaction.

It should be something cheap, do not you think?

and also the excess of ICOS I think is directly implicating bitcoin
 Sad Huh
