Those are a form of gambling, in a non 18+ game. Its just hidden very well by the fact that you cant sell the items to valve but only to other players

i dont really think that there is a limit on how old each people are because this is gambling, place to get your money or lose your money so age doesnt matter. Unless i they play on casino may be there have a limit there but now you can play online even kids now how to play so i said its okay for age matter
yaa age doesn't matter for gambling. People with money can gamble in many places online. Children these days are aware of the money making stuffs due to the internet access. Only children are allowed inside the casino. Their may be age limit. 
I gambled before 18 not too much money but played more than once, and i think that lot of kids gambled almost once before 18. Also some played with their parents. I don't like to see kids gambling, because some of them could finish with gambling problems.

Of course! I live in a place where there's actually a lot of kids gambling, mostly, they play betting games or dice games. In some festivals, there is a specific area for gambling stalls. I often go there and I see a lot of kids, usually high schoolers because I see their uniforms. At the front, they seem to be rejected by stall owners but right after I see them change clothes, they are allowed to gamble.

Why do you gamble can you tell me other then anticipating of wining all time and at the end losing it. When you started gambling were you even earning money to spend on gambling? Instead earn and save on some future investment or holiday or shop for family

When I was just around 18 or below I do play gambling online, and also doing some betting in some computer games.
Gambling can't be limited to kids who have a vast access to the internet or a computer.
It is how the life goes and I believed it is a part of growing up.

A lot of people gamble under age because there is nothing preventing them from doing it.
if you gamble online then there is many way to tricking the underage prevention , but when you gamble in offline casino then you must becareful as if you caught gambling underage , you won't get paid and just kicked out from the casino and even arrested.
I think a lot of kids are gambling ever since even if their parents prohibits them from doing. It's not like the kids are never separated from their parents. Kids can do things that you didn't expect that they would do. I think the rules and gameplay of gambling is simple enough that kids can understand how to do it. In my area, there's a carnival nearby and kids are even allowed to gamble. In online gambling, kids can just pretend that they are more than 18 years of age and gamble as much as they want.
