Having people registering to forums will not determine the sustenance of bitcoin. It is about the law of supply and demand that maintains the market.

There's no registration required, but if you're talking more people using it, then it depends. You can't just buy and hold bitcoins and expect that you're making an impact or contribution to the system. It's not just more users, it has to be more active users, both in trading and development, then that would help its sustainability.

Most of the members encourage people, mostly the teenagers to join or register
to bitcoin. So, meaning to say, the more members to join/register, the longer the bitcoin will be sustained.

There is no need to register to use Bitcoins and it is independent. Growth can be expected with the amount of people joining and buying Bitcoins.

Registration is not part of using bitcoin, you can join and earn your own btc without having to register anywhere. For wallets, it’s a different story.
I don't get the Op point about this one, why we need to have a registration for people? It will sustainable because it is stable just like a bank, so nothing to worry about it, if some people doesn't want bitcoin then it is their loss not our loss.

Hi,

These are in fact two different things.

On the one hand, with more people involved in the bitcoin community, chances get higher that business models are developped, making bitcoin useful even in everyday life, for daily shopping and so on.. This is one advantage of getting more people involved.

But this word is important: involved. If there are many people merely trading bitcoin for short-term profits, then it doesn't make the community stronger.

And last, on the other hand, bitcoin can collapse even though 1 human being out of 2 on the planet has a wallet. Banks can disappear even though they have many customers, it is just the same here.

In order to make bitcoin sustainable.. well you have to act accordingly. Avoid short-termism and think broader.  Wink

I think that you mean to say that if more people join the bitcoin community, then bitcoin would sustain for a longer time. There is no need for more people. If the people who are now having bitcoins hold them continuously for longer period, that is enough for sustainability of bitcoin.Numbers does not matter.

Hi,

This isn't true... but this isn't false!  Grin

Actually, the number of people registering doesn't directly affects the lifespan of the bitcoin. Though, what is indeed true is that, the more people involved, the more ideas and business models are developped.

The bitcoin will not die as you can understand it for real people. But maybe at some point, people will stop using it and the community will disappear slowly... So indeed, with a large number of people involved, we prevent its "death". But it is not that simple.

If you want bitcoin to be strong and to remain part of our lifes, then instead of just buying/selling, try to see further.

Once a man, twice a child!
the more people start buying bitcoin the higher the price will go and that means i am not going to be able to buy as much bitcoin as i want to have before the real exploding rise happens.
so i usually not-encourage people to invest in bitcoin. and i mostly warn them that it is very risky and they should not invest. ... more for me.
You have merely displayed a selfish altitude with this comment of yours. It's people like you who spread FUD around Bitcoin and the crypto market. You don't want others enjoy that which you know or have access to. You should realize that someone actually unveiled Bitcoin to you and nothing should also stop you from passing that knowledge and awareness across to others.

You don't need login/register to use bitcoin since bitcoin is decentralized and all you need to start use bitcoin is choose a wallet and do the set up (address type, set backup and set password). Also, bitcoin don't need adoption just to stay sustained (even though adoption is what we want). So, it's totally wrong.

I think the more investors the higher the price value of bitcoin can be.The more people who encourage to register in bitcoin the more chances they can invest on it a possibility to be stronger cryptocurrency because many members are on bitcoin.

I think it is a yes. As you can see by now. More people are joining into crypto, take a look at its current market cap. More money are coming into crypto and mostly of course into bitcoin.

More people signing up, more people buying the higher the price will be. I hope this signing up rate is significant to maintain bitcoin growth.

I don't think that encouraging others to join Bitcoin has something to do for it to survive. We encourage people to invest in Bitcoin because we want to share the opportunity to them. Another thing is to increase the demand which will lead to price increase. It has nothing to do with sustaining Bitcoin.

We should make it clear that joining this forum of bitcointalk is different from joining bitcoin investment or mining. I  don't thi nk increasing the number of forum members has any direct impact on the sustainability of bitcoin as that will be determined by the demand and supply of the coins and largely to do with the investors or miners and not commentators on this  forum.

If you mean people will need to register their wallets to use bitcoin, then it won't be sustainable. No one would appreciate having all their transactions be public.
all transactions are already public, its just that not every transaction is instantly linkable to irl identities given address inputs and outputs, unless those addresses are already known to belong to certain individuals. however, i don't see why you think this alone would cause bitcoin to collapse. i just don't see how you can make that jump in logic there. of course no one would like it, but i don't see how that would cause an instant collapse in the use of bitcoin.

I'm a bit confused with what you're talking about here, but I'll try to answer it, no one can be sure how long Bitcoin will keep standing but if more people involved in Bitcoin it will only affect the health of the market, not extend the life of Bitcoin.
not exactly, the more people are involved, the more likely it is that there will be more core nodes running, which actually strengthen the security of the bitcoin network (this is a fact), so yes, it actually does benefit bitcoin, which improves bitcoin's survivability.

Only the bitcoin community has developed and the community has been perfected, can we promote the combination of bitcoin and more practical projects, so as to make bitcoin development. It doesn't make any sense to simply persuade young people to register.
