Guys, I have received an email from hashocean regarding refunds of their clients.  They already eaten tons of cash from customers . Now they are asking money for refunding our own money. Lolzzzz.

Those are random people taking advantage of people who invested in HO, not HO itself. As you can see they create dummy HO websites for the possibility of getting their real account of HO. Hahahaha

I have checked the btc addresses stated on that website.  Some dumb peoples already sent the money to those scammers.

I think for the most people it isn't clear what is happening right now. I also don't know if hashocean will come back or not, but we musst be prepared. Please read my following sentences, if you have any further questions or anything feel free to contact me or post on the topic here.

General warning informations:

- please be VERY CAREFULL on which sites you enter your emailaddress and passwords!!!! The page might look similiar, the Mailaddress and the street/postal code might also be correct
- PLEASE perform a whois-check before entering anything else!
- i DO NOT RECOMMENT to enter your emailaddress ANYWHERE, and it's a completely NOGO to enter your email and password (sometimes even phone number)
- On the "new" domains could be running a script. A script which isn't harmfull yet. It could download sth to your appdata/temp folder and encrypt your whole HDD/SSD or server/NAS/SAN -> check google for ransomware or "locky virus"

What could happen if you do so:
- With your emailaddress AND your password they can check these combination on poloniex, bter, bittrex, kraken, localbitcoins,... and check if they can login for STEALING !!!ALL!!! your coins.
So now you think: hm, even if they try i have 2 factor auth activated. And here is your phonenumber comeing into play: Your number will be used for creating new google auth codes and again STEALING all your coins

Sorry for my "big warning post", but i want to help/assist people without any knowledge about domains/servers etc.
If you use a VPN and Norton can they still hack into your computer or get into your appdata files?
Vpn it's only hiding your IP and location but Norton only give a little chance to protect your desktop against the virus, better to avoid suspicious link or file maybe include the virus in them.

I am interested to know how the hacker for example can steal my coins when they don't know my number and I have google authenticator installed in mobile phone and not in my PC. Personally I think this is impossible as the hacker doesn't know my mobile number or the code in the google authenticator in my phone but maybe I learn something new today, lets see the in depth explanation of this.
This is called bypas. But the site have low protect,or open fake email and trojan attack his site and all info get to attacker.

This is not an everyday event (700 000) people's money getting stolen. So lets see what tomorrow brings . . .

I think it's really very hard or even impossible that Hashocean will come back, it's gone with a very big amount of stolen Bitcoins unluckily.

I don't know why, but the owners of HashOcean are working on the website: They have said it will be back on 29th or 30th (not sure if true)
Last update of database: Tue, 28 Jun 2016 18:49:55 GMT (this is ongoing for the last few hours - time keeps changing - they are busy updating database of the website)

Why are scammers trying to get HashOcean members login information?

I don't think that Hashocean will come back , it's clear that they steal the members coins and gone now with more than $3M worth of Bitcoins. Just don't respond to any email or website telling that they have relation with HashOcean, they just want to steal you again.

from HashOcean ...

let´s wait

Restart announce
Dear customer, HashOcean was hacked. For now we restore domain control and can sen few mails. So please share message about project start date: 06/29/2016. All payments will be repaid.
Team HashOcean

Someone has posted this link WATCH OUT they are saying they will refund but need your HashOcean password, email and your phone number
http://www.refund-hashocean.com/
If they do come back then your account will be lost if you give out your information

When i registered there was a need for the number phone.
HashOcean (or someone claiming to be HashOcean) is warning people to watch out for copy websites and to guard your account information because it seems that scammers are trying to get it. I am not sure what is going on, but someone in this thread or another (there are two) said they got a payment today. There is a rumor that HashOcean will be back tomorrow. You will then start to receive emails again. // There is another rumor that this may be the new website http://www.hashocean.co.uk/ - I think it is best to wait a couple of days and to see what happens

Are your hopes up that HO will come back?

Not at all. These investments are tremendously risky, and these companies are always so secretive about the nature/location of the farm. When your job is to operate said farm, a lack of details might mean said job isn't getting done Sad

If it is legit, however, they are scrambling to fix it. Just seems a little preposterous something like this would happen in the first place.

We can hope a little - tomorrow is the 29th, so lets see if HO makes good

Genesis does have a good name and they do have mining farms in Iceland, but it will take 10 - 12 months get your investment back if everything goes forward as normal.

for that services it is not actually profitable for all of the member imagine you have to wait 10 - 12 months before you can have your ROI . it is better to became a peasant instead of having an investment with mining  Grin Grin and for that hashocean stop expecting anything from them .
