why should bitcoin be powered by some real value? fiat money are not provided with gold and other precious metals.
their nominal value is established and guaranteed by the state. Now these are all the currencies of the world. Cryptocurrency itself is one of the types of digital currencies. They are created and transmitted using cryptographic methods, mainly based on blockchain technology. At the same time, they are decentralized, that is, they do not have one emission (release) center, and therefore cannot be subject to control by any state or private organization.

serious companies will not get involved with bitcoins at all - its still very blurry what kind of taxes they have to pay and how to do it
sooner or later, tax regulators will develop a technology in which contributions for cryptocurrency will be calculated on a gross basis, upon the fact of ownership and at the maximum rate for the period of ownership.
Tax authorities will not sleep, seeing such a potential source of income for the US. The story of the mutual declaration of income by non-residents confirms that tax officials around the world think about the same thing - in the mode of constant search for lost revenue.

Anybody knows how companies earn on cryptocurrency now?
First of all, due to mining devices. also, companies that deal with storage systems make good money, including giants such as IBM, HP, EMC and others. They sell infrastructure for real dollars to those who need to store tons of information generated by a distributed registry.
power plants that feed mining farms with electricity earn the best income. They do it for real money, keep records and are friends with the tax authorities. Their earnings are transparent, so they do not need anonymity. In fact, only the black market needs expensive anonymity, and authorities understand this.

Previously, in online crime markets, payments were made through web-based wallets, but payment systems blocked these wallets with enviable regularity. To open a new one, violators had to do this from a different IP address, and they won’t be able to return any money lost on a locked wallet. Now, with the advent of cryptocurrencies, payments are easy and without too much risk: you're nobody and you’re anywhere.

Blockchain and bitcoin gave us to much to stop now. just hope that government won’t wreck it. this is anonymous open spaces. an absolute guarantee of anonymity.
it sounds good.especially for criminals, isn’t it?
criminals is exactly what government is supposed to be worried about. but no, all they care about is to rip off our money and call it tax regulation. this is so frustrating !

There is a simple solution to this: we should all switch to green mining. if in the future most mining farms can use green energy aur planet will be rescued.
if we plan to do this “in future”, there might be nothing left to rescue. we have to do this now. but sure, nobody is worrying about in the pandemic situation as this one.

Nobody is going to refuse progress, the scientists are just trying to draw attention to the unobvious problem of blockchain technology. A high degree of protection for operations requires high production capacities and, accordingly, a large amount of electricity. According to researchers, if we take into account all existing cryptocurrencies, then their total carbon footprint will be twice as large as that calculated for bitcoin.

Comparable volumes of CO2 are produced by some cities - for example, Hamburg and Las Vegas - or even small countries like Sri Lanka or Jordan.
the worst is that miners are not geographically distributed. at least according to the study of IP addresses. so 67% are located in Asian countries, 17% in European countries and another 15% are in North America.
so we should just stop mining now? people always hurt nature, this is the price for the progress we have now.
yes. megatons of carbon dioxide are being released into the atmosphere daily so that we can post these comments…
