I agree that the requirements for withdrawal should have been stated more clearly, but this should be an irrelevant concern if you're only talking about the .005 btc (it would be different if, for example, the giveaway was contingent upon you depositing your own money first and then finding out that you can't withdraw the money you deposited). But, the giveaway is not contingent upon this and so I disagree with your position.
