Ethereum is just beginning to cause heart failure for some. Its really sad seeing the price of ethereum go down day by day. My question is, what are the developers and team of that project doing cos I know ethereum used to be the king of altcoins but I can't say that now.

The reason why Ethereum has been so popular was because of their smart contract chain that requires all these ICO project to register through it before they can launch their project, and this really make Ethereum surge very high in price in 2017 when ICO became very popular and so many investors put in their money into the ICO market, but since it has been a hell with so many investors after scammers, most of them has been seriously discouraged about ICO and only focusing in bitcoin right now, so what do you expect of Ethereum, of course it will keep going down because there are not many successful ICO again like that of 2017, it is only IEO now that is still trying to attract investors and even IEO is only safe with Binance, other IEO are still full of scam.

In these of ICO, ethereum was well sort after because it was majorly used in ICO purchases for projects using the ethereum smart contract. Today IEO has numerous option of using any coin pair which is limiting the must use of ETH for crowdfunding. I hope ETH developers improve on the ecosystem.

I have some Eth and Everytime I do check for any update and research about ETH. IEO trend is another threat for ETH and now Eth is going down day by day.

Ethereum hasn’t been all too well as of late. If you’ve perused the pertinent articles on this outlet, we’re sure you know that.

For those unaware, here’s a brief recap. Every since early-2018, Ethereum and its ilk have been dramatically underperforming Bitcoin. In fact, since the top of altcoin mania in 2018, Bitcoin dominance has doubled, moving from 32% to 69%. The performance (or lack thereof) of Ethereum specifically seems to stem from the lack of buying pressure from ICO participants, as projects are moving away from this form of fundraising to avoid regulatory scrutiny.

Ethereum has been doing so poorly that its share of the cryptocurrency market recently collapsed under 8%. In fact, as of the time of Stop and Decrypt’s tweet seen below, dominance for the second largest crypto asset sat at 7.84%, the lowest it has been in some two years.

For the rest of research are here, https://en.ethereumworldnews.com/do-or-die-moment-for-ethereum-price-eth-down-to-206/amp/

I beg to disagreed that Ethereum will going to die just because the IEO is a threat for it, of course that's not true!
If you are going to have a research about ethereum it has been using for a new projects several years now with the erc20 wallet.
and what would you expect in trading market the price will always increase? come on! where is your brain?  this is trading business industry where there are only two things most often happened only which is increasing and decreasing the price of the altcoins.

I also to see and paid attention to the development of Eth, which has been declining in recent weeks. but that is not the end of eth, because after all eth really has a role in the development of crypto projects  apart from Bitcoin. so just wait, price will get better soon.

I dont think it is much of a threat. More like a competition and it is good for we could see more cheaper transaction fees if ever.
Also, it is better to always have an option.

For me though, I still use ETH as my 2nd option after bitcoin specially when bitcoin price is soaring and so is the transaction fees.
But that is usage, we need investors to nourish ETH again.
There's a need of more investors to bring their trust back in order to lift this coin back at track, we can't assume that quick that because of falling value the project will die right after, there's a lots of time that many people creates same impression with this coin but still it's continue to move forward.

It's a matter of time before we will witness another bounce and build trust again to it's supporters to engage and invest back to this chain.

Ethereum hasn’t been all too well as of late.
ethereum hasn't been well for a very long time but people haven't been noticing it because they were pumping it for some time and it was profitable for them in that period. but now that pumps have stopped for about 1.5 years, people are starting to see the issues.

Firstly, I want to clarify that the causes of the downtrend which the Ethereum market experienced were not the overhype of IEOs or ICOs but the part of Ethereum not too well and the situation that happened lately (On Thursday 01/08 till 12/08 Monday ) are so glaring. However, the situation seems under control now and I believe it was due to the upgrade which was stated on the team roadmap.

I'm a big fan of Ethereum, I'm really sad to look at its price.
I am looking forward to Ethereum 2.0, Ethereum 2.0 will improve speed and minimize mining costs, I hope it will be a leap.
Don't worry my friend keep it on your wallet, don't sell it. you know price will speculatif, some trader are sell it to getting money for holiday and will buy it after that time.

If he has so much ethereum, he can sell it to make a profit in every time the price is up, but I don't think he can do that if he only has a small amount of ethereum especially if he cannot analyze with the right. It is better to keep the ethereum in our wallet and don't sell if the price does not increase so high because we want to make a big profit from ethereum. But the decision will be on him, and we could only hope that he can make a profit like other people while we are still waiting for the high price.

I heared a lot of time that Ethereum is dead but always it was a good time to bought some ETH. It will never die because Ethereum is mother of another tokens.
What you say is "ethereum is the mother of another token". I am very very opinion of you.
and I am not convinced that ethereum will die but it will move to be more powerful and be able to defend itself to be one of the best coins.

why is IEO a barrier to developing eth ...? and why doesn't Eth just follow the trend to switch from ICO to IEO.? wouldn't that have benefited Eth. with Eth switching from their ICO program to an IEO program I think it can help Eth to be able to return their prices to what they were before.

Ethereum is not in the position to decide whether a project would run it sale through an ICO or IEO program, that is the decision of project's team to decide and they are very likely to follow the trend and less streinous process of IEO.

Are you saying that IEO is affecting the price of ETH? how exactly because  IEO did nothing but keeps driving more money into crypto space, its been good all around for IEO and its far from been a threat to ETH,you need more patience to understand that ETH is not doing bad at all, lets wait for the next upgrade which will introduce Prove of Stake for ETH.
Yes, I guess that also has nothing to do. Ieo from erc-20 based tokens can actually have a positive effect. After all, price declines occur for most altcoins, not just ethereum. The effect of the decline in BTC prices has an effect on altcoin.
IEO has nothing to do with falling ETH prices because indeed the market is currently experiencing a decline including the price of Bitcoin. of course the effect of falling BTC prices will also affect prices on Altcoin prices and I often see that happening. I'm not sure that IEO is making the ETH price fall and making the ETH getting worse because this is purely from the effect of the decline in the price of Bitcoin.

The truth is the dip affecting etherum can not be described nor emphasized to a factor
It is the most employed altcoin after bitcoin
It also employs a lot of smart contract tokens; making decentralization easy for all;

The prices will soon reflect based on the adoption; we just have to wait for it

I think that Ethereum will maintain its humiliating position until they start introducing any innovations. Until that time, we will see a very weak cryptocurrency with the community that is disappointed in this coin and can not support it.

Unlimited supply is the big drawback that ethereum has

People always say this but it simply isn't true. The supply growth goes towards zero asymptotically and will because of that eventually become deflationary. It functionally has a supply limit, just not a preprogrammed scalar cap value. These are basic things people should know before they invest.
