I don't think there's a word like newies, I mean no offense dude perhaps you should use the word recent newbies cause we have recent newbies that's the ones that joined the forum new and we also have old newbies, people who joined the forum for sometime but are yet to grow but still have some information about  crypto and Bitcoin. Moreover, most of the people that have been scammed are not only newbies but also, greedy person ( investors) can/or have been scammed and sometimes people get scammed not because they weren't careful but sometimes it just happened like an accident.

I think that in this forum, on average, even though they are newbies, they already have enough experience in data security, they probably already understand what shitcoins, tokens and coins are. The most victims from the lists above are those who are really newies, who have no knowledge at all, usually they get scammed a lot from mainstream social media such as Facebook, Twitter and others. The problem is that we can't educate them because they are beyond our reach. It's sad, but this is a fact that is happening out there.

This is a very nice update most especially to those who join or will join this forum new but sometimes almost everybody use to fall victim not because they are careless but because some project will look so good and nice to be fake. However, what an saying in essence is that in as much as we will think or feel that this message is for newbie only we should be careful not to fall prey and just like one of the commenter said this doesn't only happen during bull run but anytime, so don't think you can only get scammed in bull run but you can get scammed anytime and any day. Just that this is the period that they have some many strategy to deceive people and penetrate.

We don't make mistakes, rather we continue pushing for good results atleast to stay ontop and become the presentable traders and investors we cherished and admired. The market will not give us profits, perhaps we're the ones that will work harder to secure them and also digged in for legit information. Remember information is power. The bull season doesn't come as expected and this creates an opportunity for us to grab good entries on these projects. The bear season is everything we need to bagged coins at their ATL and patiently wait for bull season to get triggered.

The cryptocurrency industry have indeed evolved from what it used to be in the past, so many earning opportunities have been introduced and so many scammers have also taken advantage of these opportunities to swindle people's hard earned funds and there are so many ways and methods these scammers have also introduced into the system, they've also developed softwares, apps and gadgets to aid them in their course and the worst of it all is that, they can successfully scam a person without the person even having a clue of what had just happened, that's messed up the industry is right now.

The only way to try to avoid these scams for newbies is indeed staying informed and updated on the latest informations, market trends as well as developments in the crypto world.
You're right about newbies being shy to ask questions and make certain inquiries and complaints when they have need for them, some of us ever feel intimidated by others for some reason or the other, but this is actually one of the best ways to stay ahead of some potential scams that people normally fall into.

Ignorance and lack of knowledge and information can indeed make a person very vulnerable and an available target for scammers and fraudsters, but we all know the popular saying about knowledge being power, the only way one can stay ahead of the game is by being proactive and seeking after all the knowledge you can get your hands on, that way, you could be able to easily dictate some common scams and pitfalls. Empowering one's self with knowledge and staying informed is very very important and the key to making sure you have a safe investment, because safety comes first before every other thing in the cryptocurrency industry.

Since the bull is not yet here, we have to be very careful how we make decisions about buying or not buying coins.
We don't even know if the price of Bitcoin is going to fall more or rise back. We will have to understand the market and check some speculations so that we can fix ourselves not to end up to buy at the price when Bitcoin would still fall thinking initial that it is the dip price. The market price could still go down so we need to plan well so we don't make any mistake of buying too far.
 

Yes, it will be a wise idea to accumulate more BTC right now but it’s for people who still trust Bitcoin and its entire process. Some people are about to give up especially new investors that invested because of halving, some of them can’t bear it anymore and will prefer to sell or hold the little they hold instead of buying more since the price is not given any sign of even hitting the $70k soon. Only the patient bitcoin investors will keep benefiting from Bitcoin because we see as the market is moving, many people that invested in altcoins two months again are still in lost, only people who invest in Bitcoin still have hope because BTC is strong and will be.

Yes, you're right, and I have noticed something like that in some hodlers who fall victims to some scammers because they thought they are in the right place to accumulate profits from the market but they ended up in regret for paying attention to scammers.

I know some people will still miss this opportunity in the market, because the price has dumped to give some people the opportunity to hodl huge amount of BTC in this bear run, so that they will achieve their plans when the bull run occur which is the favourable season hodlers use to accumulate.

Taking a step to buy BTC now, it will be a wise move that will bring profits at the end which many people have seen the sign ahead of what will happen to those that will buy BTC and hodl before the end of this year.

The crypto market right now uncertainty and we need to take every decision on our own peril.
I have been seeing speculations that the price of Bitcoin is going to go more bearish which is the reason I why I decided to halt and observe the price movement to watch very carefully so I don't buy at the top thinking it's the dip.
We are going to make money from the market if we are ready to hold and keep holding until price comes to where we bought and start going bullish. This is what many of us are waiting for to keep making profits.

Do the right thing,at the right time on the right place. Is better for one to know the necessary things to do and best place to do them also when is the best time to do them. Be it Bitcoin or not Bitcoin, the best time for one to do something is now. Something that need to be done today, don't wait for tomorrow start doing it immediately you realize it. Time is too precious to be wasted because a second that is gone is gone and will never come back again. So, wait no more. And start the action right from that point. Nowhere. And if you want to choose, choose wisely and think deeply

Don't do anything for anybody to be pleased with you if it will not favor you, don't do anything against anybody and don't be eager or desperate to earn money. Just maintain your focus and keep moving. In trading, trade with cautious. Don't invest all your money in trading. seek for advice and opinions of the experts and of those you really trust. Not strangers. So you don't fall victim of any kind of scam.

As much as we want to keep safe ourselves from scamming, reminding other people like friends and new acquaintances is also a noble act. However, there won’t be scammers if there are no victims who will fall to scams. And clearly the main reason why we easily caught up with scams is that our greediness towards quick profits so we tend to take shortcuts instead of taking time slowly and study the process. Most especially when the market seems bullish, the more we need to be more cautious with our decisions and actions so we won’t see ourselves losing and regretting in the end.

The best thing to do not to enter into the hands of scammers is just to ignore and never get interested to any scheme people are offering out their that will bring reward. Minding your own business and stick to your own hodling is just the best thing to do because it will fetch you better reward at the end and it will prevent you from getting into the trap of scammers. Scammers knows what to do that can draw the attention of peopl, if people can learn how to be discipline and ignore things it will be so difficult to be a victim to scam.

Infact being so skeptical about things and just be watchful is the best, it makes one to have time to think better and see things better than allowing so attractive because of what can be gained.

The talk for profits is everywhere during this period and that's why everyone becomes so eager to get involved in crypto even those that know nothing about it, all what's in head is how to get money through any fast way possible which is the first wave of becoming a victim of supposed scam that comes to your way. The thought of being extra careful should always be your top priority because the moment that dies off then losing all your work within a blink of an eye is of a vivid horizon.

It is in chasing bigger profits that lead us to get scammed in the process. Instead, focus more on the security of your coins and guard your wallet 24/7, otherwise once you lost them all, all your capital and efforts will go into waste. While trading is more profitable in this bullish season, but scamming as well gets more rapid when everyone else is excited to get profits in the market. The safest way is to get well-informed and be more precise in your decision making, security of your investment is more crucial rather than taking profits this time, or you can guard them both.

Mostly, they just wait for the bitcoins to be on the headlines again and when that happens, they quickly execute their plan sometimes they hack some popular influencers to promote their scams and that's exactly what happened in the last few years and lots of people get scammed by that. Now we are at the time where bitcoins will be all over the news once again because of the hype, we need not be the only ones who will take heed and be vigilant but we need to warn our friends and families as well because they are too hyped when they see it because they are mostly probably newbies and easily become victims to those scammers.

I agree with you, but then there is nothing wrong if someone tries to maximize their profits by making good use of the bull run if they know they can do enough research and find projects that they know are going to earn them at least some profit during the bull run. Staying away from altcoins and focusing only on Bitcoin is a good option for people who know they aren't good with the market in general and they can barely understand much about altcoins.
If I have already invested in Bitcoin, but still have some funds kept as spare that I want to use as well, and I know that I understand the market very well, I can do some research and invest that money in projects that have good potential. There are a lot of altcoins that are good.

Newbies need to stay informed, as when you're joining a new industry you have to stay updated with how things are going on in the market. If you're a newbie on the forum don't be shy to ask questions and stay login as information will be disclosed regularly on the forum that can save you from becoming a victim yourself to this scams. What were experiencing right now is a tip of the iceberg as things will be more intense as the bull market continues. The scams aren't much different from what has been happening in the past so you can easily spot them. Do some research and not stay ignorant or in the dark and you won't be a victim to the scams


At times doing nothing is a far better solutions than trying to be smart. I'll suggest we just buy Bitcoin, hold and not do anything untill the bull market is done. Lets consider every opportunity we see as a scam and not pick interest in any of them. Ignoring everything that isn't Bitcoin is the perfect strategy to use in outsmarting the scammers.

And there are still some newbies who are still allow all those scammers to deceive them to make money from them during bear run or bull run and, it will make newbies not to believe in anybody that is trying to help them to start making profits like them if they will be able to follow the due process that attract the profit.

 I guess those who understand the bull run has taken a big profit from the bull run and those that newly enter the business was afraid to take profits when the price hit $50k because they thought that the price will not pump higher more than $50k.

This has to be top of the list imo, as so many new entrants are flocking into the world of cryptocurrencies with the bull runs experiencd ,and they are being preyed on by these hackers as they are easy targets....but nothing research and due diligence can't fix.

Timing wouldn't be any better, if anything this advice isn't limited to newbie's as even veterans do fall for such scams and we should all own up and take extra care of our crypto assets to avoid falling victim to such, when all information of how to protect ourselves is readily available.

Thanks for the warning. The market is about to go bullish, many entrants coming into the space are not knowledgeable to avoid some of the tricks used by scammers. There are many phishing links flying around and fake projects are on the rise. Just yesterday, after it was announced that Apple had acquired a Canadian AI started up DarwinAI, I came across a fake token called DarwinAI being shilled on X to deceive and scam unsuspecting users. We are in a season when there's an increase in scams and we need to be extra careful.
