That might explain why it has moved up recently, but you responded to a question about the movement in august, which should have a different explaination?

So I did. Didn't realize it was that old Cheesy

Bought in @ $6 because i liked the stable price of bitcoin, while € was really weak.
I should throw a party for breaking $13, but I'm to confused to be pleased with the development.
I simply do not understand whats driving this price.

Bitcoin has been in the news a little because of the reward halving. This may have driven some interest.

The question of the day, again!

You are bumping up way too many old threads.

OK, I will stop now.

but the question is, who could be buying in right now? I'll be honest, I saw the price hit 12.60 and I bought in with the rest of my day to day money, but I doubt many people are just throwing in for the ride upwards (assuming they think there will be one) most of the volume has to come from people buying in fresh.

I dunno. Volume seems pretty flat for the last week or 2. Whoever is buying is doing it in a very controlled way, IMHO.

Yup I agree.

Nice steady rise...

Thats what I'm asking myself.
I would never have bought in on at up from $8  Shocked
At the last buble i just broke even. After that I've been almost one year inactive.
Anyway thanks for your thoughts.

one dude (founder of digg, google investor, etc) twitted to +1.3 million followers that he's playing with CoinBase, another VC dude ignited conversation about Bitcoin on his blog among other VCs and such, just of the press BTCST made into media... there is so much going on now outside this forum it's getting hard to keep up with everything.
