How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?

Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.
If you want bitcoin to be accepted you should accept government regulation, impact to free market or not it depends on regulation to be given by government. I think the japanese state has received bitcoin I want to hear what happened and whether there is any special regulation for bitcoin.

Everyone needs an regulation because too much is bad so that every thing has a limmitation and few can reach out beyond thier limmitation so that success has surely come to them. I believed that every transactions or such bussinesses has a limmitation level. Process to process one by one rising up that makes your efforts more plays important role in your life. Because too greedy can leads into falling down or lossing everything.

Actually market is very free, but I agree with that we need regulations related to ico. I think such regulations will have a good effect on the market in the long term.
People need someone to lead us ,people need regulations for them to know what's going on we just need someone to follow ,if we don't have regulations people cannot have self discipline they don't have self discipline. We need to have rules just to have unity ,unity that brings our country unite . We need rules for us to become a good citizen.

Yes every one of us must need the name of the rules wherever it is, but the rules are in a positive way, because in everything we need the name of the regulation of small things only, at home or in our family need rules again in the biggest thing, because regulation is our learning for the future siplin ....

Well, if you think about it, we are really in a bad situation. Just try looking at all the cryptos that are currently present together with all the ICOs out there, most of them are totally useless and does not even work to solve real problems that can really benefit both the crypto world and the real world. We are in a time when looking for a great coin to invest on other than the top ones, is like looking for a needle in a hundred rolls of hay stacked untidily.

This is why we badly need regulation in our system. But the thing is, we can never really do anything when they decide to take advantage of being the ones that regulate all the cryptos. Because they are the government.

But whatever happens, I sure won't be letting go of cryptos. And even when I have to be a fugitive because of holding my cryptos, I do not care. And I pretty much think that a lot will also do the same.

Yes and No ,as crypto world works on blockchain so you can't associate funds with anyone, I think kyc should be there so that whale manipulation should be less.and government can't regulate it,there are making regulations to gain taxes out of crypto.coming to ico,i think it has become funding machine now, there are many i see that are useless ,not required and there are many who have small project but they are taking so much funding ,i dont see any point there but the main point is to create awareness ,due to lack of knowledge many newbie are caught in scams thus loosing their fund.

Caught in scams, or they run into scams because their greediness is making them blind?
The point is that we don't need regulation, technology is already regulated. Governments will regulate the part about how to collect money from people, they don't care about your safety, that is excuse they use to control us more and more.
Take bitcoin for example, it's regulated. You have a wallet where you keep bitcoins, you are free too choose online or offline, your transactions needs to be included in next block, block have rewards, rewards have halvings, forks can be made if enough miner's wish that. That is regulated, why would we change this regulations and make something simple and beautiful to turn into something ugly and complicated?
Some people do really like to have this way where they do wish to be regulated without even thinking that it would really remove the true purpose of bitcoin and I do agree with the fact that government do only just make these alibi of regulation just to sip out tax from those people who do earn bigtime with cryptos and I do agree on the assumption that they don't really care at all about our safety as citizen.

I'm not a supporter of someone regulating the world of crypto currency and setting rules in it. Regulation leads to control and forcing to pay taxes

Ya saya kira sebuah sistem yang dijalankan membutuhkan peraturan tanpa peraturan maka sistem tersebut tidak akan berjalan seperti yang di harapkan dan tidak dapat di ukur tingkat keberhasilannya.

If the regulations to be made is for the benefits of both the users and patronizers of bitcoin, then why not? If this will be a move to correct some irregularities that the cryptomarket is trying to solved to maintain a more secured system, and will make the technology behind this more resilient to manipulators. Perhaps, there is nothing wrong about it. But, If such regulations will only make bitcoin susceptible to corruption and greed of few people in the industry. Then, better not guys.

Regulating is just one of the ways that the government have come up with for them to control the cryptos inside their countries.

We don't need regulations, its the governments job to cope up with the cryptos so that they can't have losses whenever possible. Well since the cryptos are expected to be more profitable on some jobs (depending on the job really). Then again, if you wanted to have serious profits then switch to this platform.

Having regulations means, having the currency be centralized.
This argument against government regulation to cryptocurrency has been one of the most talk of the town here in forum and over social medias.

Bitcoin and other cyrptos market are in constant fluctuations, regulating this worldwide creates grappling with ways to control trading and the traditional banking. At year 2017, it was they year when ICO was developed and in this year it is now the time to become the year of regulatory reckoning and I believe that it was already begun to heat up around the world.

Some really welcoming it while others are banning it and some seems to be don't care about this one.

Well there are concerns about crypto with national security and money laundering and these concerns are legitimate. That's way it would probably be more healthy to have specific regulations to address this. Crypto has grown over a few years and its not like 2015 anymore where not that many are dealing with it.

The history of the world proves that regulations are never fair, but they are introduced to favor one part or another part, and usually it's the usual suspects. Therefore I'd vote for no regulations. Let the Far West continue, at least it'll be fair Smiley

It doesnt need so much regulations I think, tokens were good right now, and I think the regulations you were saying must be implemented to those campaigns who keep stealing profit from the workers, the scam signature campaign per se, this must be stop before it will involve worst robbery.
