Good day people,as a newbe and an enthusiast of bitcoin I wonder if we  can have a future where crypto currency would be accepted as a global means of financial exchange, considering current stands of some Government on it..
Yes.

You're maybe missing the actual thing that happens already worldwide. Some country may still don't like it.

But it will gradually change their perspective when they see most countries are have adopted.

Op is asking a question that the answer is already answered with gradual tone. Many adoption is going up every day. It can be in different ways that country can adopt and using bitcoin but the high point is yes it is very possible for that.

Although it's funny some churches in my country are accepting crypto-currency as a way worshippers can pay tithes, offerings and any other church levy, also restaurant are accepting crypto-currency for customers who doesn't have cash, to me it's more important Bitcoin and crypto-currency are acceptable by what we patronise and need, even if the government doesn't want to accept crypto-currency if there are available places I can spend crypto-currency, I think it's a don't care about the government.

Just hang around buddy, it's going to happen as it's inevitable. The fiat system is falling faster and soon it can't be hidden to the general public again. Just do some research on the technology/innovations;  internet, email, online shopping and all the new innovation there is and you'll find one similarity between them all. They were all attack and laugh at bit today the economist, business, government etc can't do without them so it'll be for Bitcoin.

Just ask yourself this question, what do you stand to lose if it's not a success, nothing. Then imagine the benefit that comes from it becoming a success and you are among the earlier adopters just as those that believed from the very beginning are profiting now. Only put your spares and you won't regret not minding any of the outcome.

My country has gone from being a bitcoin scam to being an asset. That’s a big shift, and it’s a sign that the government is beginning to accept Bitcoin.

It already started a few years ago but the sound is not too big as this year which we read on many news that some countries already use crypto as their legal tender.
So in the future, crypto would have a big chance to be accepted as a payment system and not just use in the crypto market and more countries will also accept crypto to be the payment system.
But that will depend on the other government because they do not easily accept crypto as a new payment method. After all, they already have a fiat currency that they have used for a long time ago.
It is not easy to open their minds about the new thing that can change the whole system payment but that will be possible, especially if that government can see what the other countries can achieve using crypto.

Farewell, Leo. You will be missed!
Bit of a biased question to ask in a Bitcoin forum; if anyone here doesn't believe in the potential future of Crypto as a whole I'd be confused on their presence here!
Being on a Bitcoin forum doesn't mean that you must have unrealistic expectations. I don't believe any cryptocurrency will become a globally accepted tender or official means of exchange. Do you think your or mine government cares about your financial independence and will push for a system that gives you anonymity or pseudo-anonymity? They don't care if you live or die (but please pay the taxes you owe before you die, ok!

The world leaders can't agree to fight global poverty, why would they agree on the acceptance of a transparent digital currency? I do believe that El Salvador won't be the last country that adopts Bitcoin as legal tender. Probably a few other nations in South America will do it next.

One thing to bear in mind is what type of crypto we are talking about: There is an apparent trend of central government made crypto that seem to be in the pipeline. These are likely to reach a broad extent of the population in the countries and areas of commerce where they are going to be deployed, but, nevertheless, they are going to be centralized and the TXs likely scrutinized under some type of law, deriving background profiling based on the TX movements.

Is that what people really want? (Possibly, until the know better)

Bitcoin largely plays against the above, and therefore will likely be tried to be kept in the bottle by the powers at hand, in favour of the controlled and controllable crypto variants.

The world entirely is now in a global village due to technological advancement. Crypto gives us the entire control of our assets especially bitcoin. Bitcoin is already accepted by different organizations and institutions as a means of exchange as bitcoin will overtake fiat very soon, because everyone will wants to be control of his or her wealth. Therefore crypto have a great future where it will be accepted globally as a means of exchange for goods and services.

People the world over are already using Bitcoin on a day-to-day basis as a means of securely making peer-to-peer payments.  Similarly, institutional investors are already buying into bitcoin for the long haul enabling the price to rise to levels that could hardly have been dreamed of just five years ago.

Cities and corporations (and even the odd country or two) are now embedding bitcoin as a method of payment.

The Future of Cryptocurrencies is now.

if we  can have a future where crypto currency would be accepted as a global means of financial exchange

It's been happening for years. You can browse this forum to see how often business deals use bitcoin. It's just lucky for people to live in countries with friendly regulations so they don't worry that their transactions will be considered violating the rules. As @Oshosondy said, for now government is not the main barrier, but the inability of people to use it makes it very difficult to go global completely (everyone wants to accept bitcoin in their business).

I mean, obviously most of us are betting on it lol. But at the same time, who are we to know? We aren't fortune tellers, and only time will be able to tell.

Yes, lol, but other than that, OP asks if it will be accepted as a mechanism for change. I would say that, if Bitcoin ends up being massively used worldwide as we expect, there is a portion of people who believe it will be as a store of value primarily, and as an exchange mechanism alts or fiat will be used, while others believe it will be as a medium of exchange. I used to think one thing but now I am not so sure. Time will tell.

What you worry about will control you
Unless the price of Bitcoin tends to be fixed, whoever dares to use Bitcoin for large-scale transactions, I think he will rise to a certain price, and then functional changes will occur.

Even with the current stance of some government on cryptocurrencies, did you think it is now not the world means of making payment by people that knows about how to use it? With what I have thought before, anyone that can use cryptocurrencies can be able to use it, government can ban but cryptocurrencies are not centralised, this makes it hard for the government to control, no one can ban the cryptocurrencies in your noncustodial wallet. The rate many people are using it in the world has already makes it what you are asking about it. With time also more governments will support it.

Widespread acceptance of cryptocurrency as a means of transaction is one of the major goals that Satoshi had in mind when he was creating the very first cryptocurrency, which is bitcoin. If i do not believe this ideology from Satoshi, there's nothing i am doing with bitcoins. The growth curve of bitcoin is definitely from "no acceptance" to "little acceptance" to "widespread acceptance" which the future will definitely bring.

It would probably happen to BTC and some widely known cryptocurrencies but we just do not know when. I suggest you follow all the developments that's happening in El Salvador. All eyes are on them ever since they approved BTC as a legal tender. Legislators in other countries have also passed proposals so that's something to look into as well.

Its already happening, there was a news weeks ago which the government is willing to pay cryptocurrency to anyone who can trace hackers. It must be a sign that its already accepted.  A country El Salvador if you haven't of it yet already embraced BTC as legal tender much like a fiat money to compensate their employees.
