We know Coinmarketcap lists fake exchanges on the top, they accept fake bot volume in such case which is not honest move! So, we have been appreciating Coingecko for bringing the real volume exchange on the top rank. But do you believe their liquidity exchange rank is real? I don't think they are 100% accurate. They listed BW, ZB, ZBG, Bitbank, Probit almost in the top rank but all these exchanges are faked volume,!
Its never been accurate and as far as i remember only a few exchange do really have that organic volume which is Binance and few of them (cant remember all). Its no surprise that CMC doesnt really mind if those unknown or least exchange do top rank on a particular day just because someone do make some pump into that place and placing its rank to the top on daily basis when it comes to gainers category.I dont easily trust up numbers that can be seen on cmc yet i do always look deeper to verify.Yeah,i know it sucks to check it out deepthrough but if you do like to get rid of those fake numbers then research is a must.

Coingecko is the best now and still trusty than others, let's just hope that they will remain the same and not start taking bribes to rank up bad projects and exchanges, coinmarketcap build it's reputation and it was good until they can't be trusted anymore, all those hardwork go in vain

nodody's perfect so even the great coingecko and coinmarketcap do comit mistakes too but speaking of mistakes , cmc does do alot of mistakes compare to coingecko  , that is the reason why people switch and use coingecko the most  .  i would also like to thank you for providing some info bout the coins you list because i didnt know that those coins have a faked volume  and i also didnt know that coingecko supports it too but i though only cmc are only the one that list fake volumes  or maybe people dont only notice it because i rarely see someone complain by using coingecko except from you   .

I haven't seen liquidity rating from coingecko but if it's real I won't belief in it but will still be better than coinmarketcap because with ordinary trading volume rating coingecko have shown fair rating

Coingecko is clearly a lot better than Coinmarketcap. Coingecko does a good job of listing and analyzing the volumes of exchanges in this market. Today I often use Coingecko because it gives me very accurate and truthful information

Yes I belief in coingecko rating compare to coinmarketcap and others, it seem they aren't interested in money for rank like others yet, but on time coingecko might join others too once attentions from coinmarketcap are been directed to coingecko

Why you don't use an exchange to see the movement price or the volum of the coin? I think that is very accurate because the movement of the price just because buying and selling. Other than that your intention to know this movement price for your trading strategy or for your investment strategy. I myself only the movement price from some exchange, like binance and OKex because it is there is manipulation about it.

I also do not think the coingecko is completely accurate but I do not believe the rankings of the coinmarket cap. Ranking sites are unreliable, If you want to evaluate a job exchange simply join the community and learn for yourself.
I don't think anyone can provide very accurate data. Coinmarketcap, which is better than Coingecko, states that sometimes the trading volume data that is given is not very accurate, so I don't think too much about the information in Coingecko and others.

In my opinion you cannot believe both of them, in particular if we check exchange volume data. I never check that portion on any of these websites as I believe in recommendation and trust. I also donot store my assets on any exchange. If I want to check the price of a particular crypto I prefer checking two or three exchanges.

I do not believe that Coingecko shows the real liquidity of exchanges and various cryptocurrencies, most likely Coingecko as well as Coinmarketcap receive money to show the incredible fake volume of various exchanges and cryptocurrencies, somehow they need to earn money also.

The fact is they can't be 100% accurate but coinmarketcap isn't about accuracy, it's about money making to rank up any exchange on the list just like ICO rating websites used to do, coingecko is the only option left now

At least they are trying to be honest. It's not an easy task because there are so much scam and shit exchange out there. Although I use coingecko most of the time i think the coin market cap is still a very good place to track down any project. They both have their own system to determine the score. So it can't be 100% accurate by its still useable.
we must to check it to exchanges itself to make sure that buy or sell order suitable with coingecko data. sometimes their calculation different with real condition and ofcourse its not totally be their fault. as traders and investors we must research by our own to check real liquidity in every exchanges.even coinmarket often make a fault in their data .just used coingecko or cmc to track coin price but dont used it for trading decision.

CMC and coingecko and other sites not giving us 100% accuracy.Last few months I am using coingecko maximum time. They are improving there data.Though still now CMC is better than coingecko but They are improving fast and day by day CMC going to be worst.but coingecko should remove many coins and exchanger because they are dead. But i always try to average both CMC And coingecko liquidity to get perfect result.
Yes, you are absolutely right. Coingecko listed many scam coins, dead coin, even maybe they never said No to anyone from listing which is disrespectful. So, Coingecko is not perfect yet, where CMC has fewer issues in this term. So, Counmarketcap still the best option for tracking crypto coins price, Coingecko needs to improve many things to compete with CMC.

There is no 100% accurate buddy, dealing with a bunch of exchanges those are just statistics on reported or adjusted volume, I know they get the data from API's which can easily be manipulated by bots generating fake volume. The top 1 exchange might not be really the top 1. That's how it works. For me, I rank exchanges by Trust and my number one is Binance.

Coinmarketcap introduced its Liquidity Metric not too long ago.
Coingecko introduced its Trust Score in May last year.

Each of these platforms have their own metrics (formula) of determining "real" volume but do not expect them to be 100% accurate. Instead of arguing about the scores or rankings of these exchanges on their websites, why don't you read how they are ranked instead?

I'm putting the links for everyone's convenience:

If you still have problems with those two, there are plenty of sites to choose from - Sites for Crypto Market Watch

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
The data in Coinmarketcap and Coingecko are not entirely accurate there must be manipulation of fake prices and volumes there are many low exchanges to the top after seeing the statistics on CMC and Coingecko so do not look or depend on the data and we better look for the information ourselves or better visit the exchange.

I think BW, ZB, ZBG, Bitbank, Probit are real exchanges with the volume even though some say there are a lot of fake volumes there so I'm not really surprised.

Only those who will be affected by this are the traders that has needed some valuable stats for trading. Indeed coingecko is much better in termd of accuracy than coinmarketcap but the range of cmc in terms of coins is much appreciated and mostly uses it.

However, it's still hard for any such website to get reliable statistics. Very few exchanges give out data in a way that each trade could be calculated back to the full volume.
This is why some data in these platforms are not accurate most data have not been given by exchanges. Im thinking why their not telling the whole reports? Soemthing fishy right? Of course its just means they are doing some monkey business.

I do not pay attention to the ratings of exchanges. I mainly trade only in Binance, but when I need to buy or sell some kind of coin on another exchange, then I don’t care what rating it has. I just buy coins and withdraw it to my wallet.
