Yes, the posibility of life existing in, other galaxy is high, Life has its own ways of emerging and surviving even in the most extreme hostile condition.
Without a doubt there are aliens somewhere. Whether they are intelligent or not is a big question. It would also be a problem if they were too far away to ever reach.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter whether there are other forms of life or not since humans live on this planet and don't know if anything lives anywhere else and don't really need to know until they plan to move to some other planet, which is unlikely to happen in the nearest century. Well, there is high that something is exactly there.
With a near infinite number of stars and planets out there I believe there must be life out there somewhere. Do I believe that little green men have visited this planet? no i don't believe that any contact has been made... yet!.
