I still held on to my paper gold investment. Over here where i stay we have something call gold investment account where the holdings is denominated in weight of gold. For me that is much safer than holding on to the real physical gold.

this yellow metal is limited item in the world

Well... Unless you believe companies like Planetary Resources will at some point be able to economically mine asteroids Smiley

Apparantly Eros, one of many near Earth asteroids has more gold than all the gold mined on Earth during human history.

Baring some technological breakthrough though, I imagine the price to mine it will keep gold value high...

I buy both silver and gold, both physical and via bitgold since the Oz price is low. Not looking to sell it anytime soon, just saving up for the future.

I buy gold as the safest investment

Yes gold is always a very safe investment for long term perspective. You can buy gold without any hesitation because this yellow metal is limited item in the world so over the time it will surly bring you good profits on your investments. Do not worry about all those short term price volatiles it is common in all investments. Every year I buy certain amount of gold since last 10 years.

That's a nice shill in the OP. Tongue

I plan to load up on physical gold and silver eventually. Right now, I'm just scalping the short term with paper gold. I think there will be better buying opportunities for physical gold within the next year or two.

I've been buying physical silver, its fun to collect different things. Initially I started just grabbing any kind of silver I could, but now I'm strictly government mint issued. I like the Royal Canadian Mint (I'm Canadian, nonetheless their metals are .9999 pure versus others at only .999), their wildlife series (1 Oz rounds) have good numismatic value on top of the raw metal.

Unfortunately I started buying at about $40/oz, then more recently I thought $19/oz was a bargain... Trading at $14.65 right now.. hmm... better buy some more Smiley

The silver is getting pretty heavy though.. I prefered it to gold because in case of armagedon (LOL) 1 oz pieces is easier to barter with. But I should start getting some physical gold to add to the collection.

I guess the moral of the story is diversity.. right? Who knows whats safe, whats going to make money, whats going to crash.. Grab some of everything..

Would like to own a physical gold bar someday. Until then, I'm growing my Bitcoins to exchange them for gold later in the future. I think its a good investment  Roll Eyes

is not the first time i really think about to buy physical gold, but after i discover the bitcoin world, i dont want it anymore.

Bitcoins is all we need, ovbiously from my point of view gold is a real and good alternative, but now my priority is BTC Wink

This is how I feel. I always wanted to own gold but bitcoin is far better in my opinion. I was always worried about buying fake gold as well but you cant get fake bitcoins.

Yes, I always buy a physical gold and sell when I get some decent profit margins and do the same process always. In this process some times, we may need to wait for long time make profit.
