It is certainly possible that changing leaders could lead to positive changes in Nigeria. Many of the country's current problems, such as corruption, poverty, and insecurity, can be traced back to poor leadership. Therefore, it stands to reason that new leaders with fresh ideas and the will to make changes could make a difference. However, it is important to keep in mind that simply changing leaders will not automatically solve all of Nigeria's problems. For real change to occur, there must be a broader cultural shift towards accountability and transparency. New leaders will need to be willing to take on these challenges and make difficult decisions for the good of the country.

One of the biggest challenges facing any new leader in Nigeria will be to address the issue of corruption. Corruption is endemic in the country, and it has led to the mismanagement of resources and the weakening of public institutions. A new leader would need to take bold steps to tackle this problem, such as strengthening anti-corruption agencies and implementing reforms to make government more transparent. In addition, a new leader would need to address the country's economic challenges, including high unemployment and poverty. This could involve creating job opportunities, promoting economic development, and ensuring that the benefits of growth are shared more equitably. The leader would also need to work to Avoid make the same mistakes that others make....

If we keep to counting changes on our leaders in other to make the country better then we should insight on individual potentials and capacities and not considering of those political godfatherlsm political alleys.
It is not about changing leadership because there had been several changes of leaders but yet their governance hasn't been of a better changes as demanded.

Let love lead
The change we need in this country will start when people (not just politicians) assume leadership positions based on eligibility and capability and not just being elected by sentimental judgments and personal interests. Most offices are headed by friends and family members of the most influential person there or the next higher body leader. This doesn't create room for the right person occupying the precise office, although its possible that the person selected is qualified, but in the long run, you'll find out that leadership positions are held by one circle of people like its their birthright.

I believe if we can get it right even from the grassroot, in the nearest future, this correct discipline can transcend to even political offices cos its still the grassroot that votes political leaders. we can vote the right candidate for political offices and reject their  bribe while we clamor for the best candidate to represent us. The judiciary needs cleansing too, recently they're used as the final tool to perfect politicians evil plans. If the judiciary can do their job properly, we would not be facing the problem of election rigging, manipulations everywhere cos these leaders will be afraid that the judiciary will intervene and uphold justice without fear nor Favour of anybody.  For me, its not only about the leaders, the followers and the judiciary also contribute greatly to this mess. If the followers and the judiciary can get it right. We can  elect leaders whom are morally right and competent to govern and stabilize our dear Nigeria.

You talk well bro but I wan clear you say human being dey unpredictable because that pesin wey you think say go do better if him enter power him go surprise you tomorrow with plenty plenty nonsense wey you least expect, we get plenty beast in human form wey dey look for opportunity to wicked people and my people talk say if you wan see pesin character finish say make you put them for power.
However, waiting we dey face for this country too much only one pesin no fit deliver us and e go take I.e if only the country go fit dey produce leader wey wan give the country 60% of waiting them need at least in 4 tenure at a stretch. If this thing go fit dey possible then we go return to our normal Nigeria.
Thank you for the article

With the current situation the country is faced with, we've been able to point out the very much likely source of the problems and first, our leaders are to be blamed and for this reason everyone now believes that the change in the type and category of leaders will do the job. Not doubting the fact that there are still other things to be met and changed asides the leaders but I at the same time concur that first the governing heads should be restored to factory settings.
Nigeria has suffered corruption for so long and we are a nation old enough to discern between right and wrong which we are obviously doing but even after discernment, we still don't get the solution we profess. The unanswered question will be will the corruption ever end? Even if one body is not corrupt, there'll always be a corrupt body which will in turn affect the uncorrupt body which will then spread across all levels. Our leaders just has to be changed. We need to switch from bad to good but I don't think it's ever going to be possible cos we've tried it countless times and still didn't get our required results. There has to be correction of the head first before the body will be corrected. That's definitely one point to note.

Yes I strongly believe that changes leadership can make Nigeria better,in the sense that whenever a man who was choose by the most high God is on the throne, think will start moving well gradually, because they said that charity begins at home, when the leaders is good then the mases will be afraid of commiting crime, but in a situation where by the leaders are the sponsors of evil, corruption, kidnapping etc, they what do you expect from your flowers to do in other to survive in a country like that..
For now make we no go that area, I never see any godly leader wey don rule Nigeria, to be honest even Nigerians no want godly leader to rule this country. When I first see the topic I ask if Nigeria get any better leader wey fit change the country, during that election period every body dey shout their choice now Tinubu don enter seat people dey see shege. Even if na Peter Obi the country go still dey the same, before Nigeria go get better leader no be today oh lol, when the system is corrupt leader too go corrupt even the least way to win election for this country na corruption, the system too bad. Nigeria go get better leader but no be now, to get better leader needs a lot of sacrifice and na only God go save Nigeria.
One thing you gats understand be say, God no go come down from heaven come save Nigeria, na still person Him go use, and no talk say Nigeria no need Godly leaders, if Godly leaders no sit down for our presidential and governors sits, how then God won take save our country?

Wetin me believe be say, na Godly leaders we need, na Godly leaders God himself fit work with to deliver our country from all this problems she's going through, the only thing be say., the person will gats to be very close to God and be highly spiritual, else, evil and occultic people wey dey out government houses go wipe the Godly leader common for sit in no time.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and even the holy books attest to that fact,  most of the time,  we tend to forget the fact that,  God will use human to rule human and if there be a leader with the fair of God he will lead the people right and with all fairness,  although it not about knowing God alone that make a good leader and it is for this that leaders need the time and knowledge on some facts that will help elevate the total wellbeing and also having the technocratic knowledge and skills to achieve the governmental roles and objective as far as good governance is a concern.

Bros, change of leaders no go fit change anything for this country. The major problem of this country no be from a single person or from a singe office holder so if you like bring a saint to rule this country, as long as he will need others to work with him, corruption go berekete for ground. The way corruption done enter into our blood eh, wetin we need na to go train special people when go fit use strong hand lead us, then we bring them in to hold those political positions.

You see that saying for Bible when talk say "in sin did my mother conceive me" eh? For our own country na in corruption ur mother take born all of us and na only God fit take us out of this mess.

If dem agree to repair the constitution wey dem dey call amendment, leaders no get choice dan to do the right thing but if the constitution still dey as e dey, omo no way.

Na the constitution say dem go use electronic for election, na same constitution say INEC fit still use manual. That one no be double standard? Dat one no give room for rigging with INEC as we see for this year presidential election wey dem no upload results electronically and court interpret dat side of the constitution. All that na rigging wey constitution itself allow it just takes a political party to work with the umpire and the rest na story as we see for this election.

I believe self say if the constitution reduce the appointment powers of the president and governors, the craze for aspiring for those positions will reduce and those with mind to work for the people will aspire.

Boss, make we forget to dey drag the constitution for this our country matter. Our problem dey beyond the constitution. To me no be constitution be our problem but people wey dey manage our affairs. Constitution dey clear but people wey dey in charge just dey interpret am the way e go suit dem. Like seriously, I don finally agree say na court be our number one enemy for this country because na dem suppose make things right when e wrong but na dem dey spoil am low key.

Imagine during the appeal of presidential election wey APC say PO no qualify to run for the president because he join the LP lately and he no follow due process. The court say dem no get power to interfere in the political party affairs because na internal issue and they struck out the case but the same court sack Kano state governor under NNPP saying that he no follow due process to become the party flag bearer. Same case, different ruling. I remember one of my lecturer's statement that "Judiciary is dead, long live the executive" that's the case of Nigeria system now.

Honestly, the benefit wey dey attached to political office in Nigeria is too much and na why everybody dey rush am and see it like a business venture to cash out big time. Even the America wey dey form father of democracy dey shake head for Nigeria when e come to government expenditure. Unless they cut off some of those benefits, na so we dey chop debt dey go until God knows when.

My point be say even if we amend the constitution and we still have the same people with the mentality of present people on power, e no go kuku change anything.

My fellow folks they way things and such activities happening in this country today, what do you think changing our leaders will make it better and right ? To my own opinion and perception they problem of this country is within us, if we continue to change leadership, it will never end until we change our own selves.
This can be refer to the word of the almighty, where he said."We choose a leader among you, someone with the same character as you are". So when the masses decide to make the change within themselves then a change will be selected for us.
A human being can make rain drops, a human being can create a change but Only The almighty can relieve a society from its calamity, and this can only be done If the society decided to change there ways...
take for example this CBN policy is a good one by the government and CBN but the implementation process lack merit by alot of bankers and bank managers.Because money were kept for politicians and even d one available in the banking system they are trying to do business with it.

Today, the people aspiring for office today in Nigeria, they are the same people over and over again... So we don't expect a different approach if the circle or let me say the table remains the same..

How will the society get it right:

By bringing the unknown, there are many people out there that are blessed with our progress, but they are being drive the opportunity due to financial crises, some have try their best and are in a party we can say as party without structure.. those people that we don't know or we believe they can't win, are the change i believe the society need. But is the dweller's of the society ready to make this change?

Untill we change this our believe of jumping from this one to that one, and seat down to decide for ourselves, that's when we will get it right, and have a leader that will bring that change.

Don't joke with my Daughter
I know is very hard to say or we all speaking one mind because even the bible you quoted also said that in Amose 3:3 " can two work together except they both agreed"? The answer is simple no because seeing our country today we aren't together and I don't think anything can work without us being together. Until we removed this religious beliefs in us we can't work together and makes out a good results. What do I mean by that ? This is simple, by the time we starts seeing ourselves as one the more the better for us, in Heaven there is no Christian or Muslim the better we change our mindsets the more good we progress in this our lovable country and there is no people in any way considered as a minurity or a majority meaning if the power can be rational then I don't see in away things won't be better for us as her citizens.

Based on your topic matter, I feel the change is dependent on individual perspective. As we all know that Change is a continuous process and it is dynamic. As all humans are not the same, likewise human thoughts and reasoning are not inline together unless it is a collective efforts towards achieving a common goal for the benefits and interest of all.

As for me, every leadership has a blue print of their past records. So in that case that would be used as a refference to ascertain their level of capacity and capability to delivering the dividends of democracy. From my experience with past Nigeria leaders, every government that comes to power has its own agenda and they work in accordance with it to achieving their goals.

So therefore, it would be nice judging from the past records of every successor to an incumbent government which I can tell for such will partly determine if the new leadership would do better or not.

For me I strongly believe that change of leaders can make Nigeria better but the problem we're facing is that the current leaders who are occupying several top positions in the country have refused to allow the younger generation to come close to power.

Every 4 years general elections are being conducted but the outcome of every single election has always been against the will of the people. We vote a different person but at the of the day the electoral body ends up announcing a different candidate as the winner.

The question is do you expect a candidate who rigs election to be a good leader?

Once the electoral body starts to be fair and transparent, we will start to have better leaders with good intentions for the country. In addition, the masses have to be united for to fight against these recircled leaders without concience.

Changing of leaders only won’t make Nigeria better. If we’re changing leaders, we’ll have to changes our mindsets and how we treat each other from the grassroots. About the recent new cashless policy that led to change of currency have shown that it’s not only our leaders that are the cause of our problems, but we ourselves make life worse for each other. If we don’t repair it from the grassroots, I don’t see that changing a leader will come to our aid of a better Nigeria, although I believe change will be felt whether negative or positive in due time of changing the leader of the country.

This does not literally transcribe to change of leadership but change of ideology. It is unfortunate that the elders that happens to be grandfathers are still jostling for power at their age when they should be retired minding their families and being the stakeholders they should be. Change of leadership would have been better but the situation at hand now will take more than the change in leadership to achieve. The system needs a total change in the entire political sphere. Although the contenders have good records but i think their desperation for the number one office speaks of volume than we could imagine.

Nevertheless, the election exercise has been conducted and with the result we have seen, we can say that Nigeria is yet to experience that change she has long been waiting for.

You are right mate, some problems comes from us the citizens, because we citizens we are too greedy and selfish with each other, let's take look like the example of new naira note and this 2023 election, CBN announced that they make enough money be enough for the citizens to get each to manage at a period of time, but some of us went and be bribing the banks managers and collect the money, and that is the main issue that cause the problem of lack of cash this days, and the 2023 election, we all know that the election of our country always has problem and yet some people cause violence because of it.

Yeah I think change of leaders is another way God will use in helping Nigeria,we have lived in 8 good years with one presidential authority, moving out from it is a new beginning to success,I must say I miss Our former president Godluck Jonathan alot ,but any ways peter obi is coming ,David Lyon is coming too ,other good things are coming also .we really need to pray this season because things are becoming hot
This is one thing that is pissing me off everything God am sure that the majority did not go out and vote the annoying part of everything is that leaders are not the only problem we have in this country we the citizens contribute to what we are going through now, just the little change in currency see the charges pos people are charging just to withdraw 1000 naira and look at fuel too at some point it was clocking almost 400 hundred nairas is that not wickedness among our selves.
Oh brother you have actually said it all. Imagine the whole electoral drama that have been playing till they have actually done this election and what am seeing is just shocking and we  the Nigerians as citizens are also major contributors to everything that is happening in the country, and why do i say so ? Just imagine a country where someone in right sense will say he doesnt want to vote LP party in this election bwcause of the tribe the laboour representative is an igbo man and because he dislike igbo people, I mean c'mon thats the very height of stupidity someone can be.

The things that are happening to us in this country are all the fault of bad leaders who lack the ambition to lead. Surely, if the power were in the hands of leaders with good ambitions, Nigeria would improve. Because it is only leaders that have power to decide how the country will be run, many of the countries we observe that are doing better are it is as a result leaders. Therefore, whether in communities or nations, changing a leadership is always play a very important rules. And for my own view, I believe that Nigerians need a change of leaders in order to have better hope, as we don't think that the formal leaders we currently have can give us any new hope, so we need to change and see what will happen, that is how we keep trying till we get the good once.
