I gamble to have fun and to earn as well. I would be fool if I wont say that the fact that you have a chance to double your money is really attracting to play gambling games.

However I have self-limit on how many hours and how much to spend in gambling. This is my way to prevent myself being addicted (since I experienced it before) because most games are really addicting especially if you're lucky to win.

Whatever reasons you have why you gamble, what matter is you have discipline and self control.

So what's your story... Makin Money ?? or For FUN.

When I found out about gambling, I tried to take gambling as fun. I never set aside a separate fund for gambling, I always try to spend as much time as possible using as little money as possible. Those who can gamble as fun do not incur any big losses, because those who gamble as fun also have a very limited amount of funds.
And the thought of making money through gambling is very difficult, those who think like this, they face a lot of difficult things.

You are right on that. I only gamble just for fun as I only spend small amount of money in gambling. So I know, I don't need to expect that I will get big winnings. I usually try new games and how it works so I have idea what gambling games are. After all, I am promoting a gambling site.  Wink Because once I get too deep, I usually stop playing once my bankroll is zero. So in order to avoid big losses, I only deposit the amount that I can fully accept that I will lose it in my gambling.
A must thing to be done but majority do fail on sticking into this rule on where they do really ending up on becoming addicts because as you do play on longer you would really make yourself get addicted.
In result? More spendings to come.

Entertainment is totally different from money making or source of income and this is where people do fall most or fail to stick on what they had been seeking of.

If you do play gambling for fun then mind off those money used to be lost and wont be expecting something back from that.

Now from what I've seen people start for Fun make some money and keeps the cycle repeating until it becomes a habit and they start to think of it as a medium to keep making sustainable income which is not possible, I know some people from a community where they had the Story Line I shared above and even today they're unable to get gambling out of their mind.
And thinking if they can make 1000x of their deposit they would never play again, but we know what happens...

I agree. I think that some people get too caught up in gambling.

They start off with the right intentions and treat it as a way to relax and rewind but degenerate into problem gambling whereby all they think about is gambling and they treat it like a side hustle.

Horrendous attitude to have. Unless you have an advantage over the house (card counting, etc. which is becoming increasingly difficult these days with online play), you are not going to win long term. It's that simple.

If you are gambling to make money, then you have a problem.

I think that you need to be extremely honets to yourself when it come sto this issue. Gambling is designed to be a form of entertainment and not cash flow generative business.

You are playing against a house that has an inherent advantage over you - over the long run, you will lose. Accept that and see it as a fun form of entertainment.

This topic had been beaten out to death that had been questioned for years here on this forum but for the sake of avoiding off topic reply

Haha yea, I wondered that would be the case and thought about adding "Similar to" to the OP's Topic name but then thought nvm leave it as it is and here now I'm reading this  Roll Eyes

avoiding off topic reply then i would say that people will mostly tell that they do play for fun
but deep inside they are really longing for fast profits or multiplying their capital which is only possible in gambling in shortest time as possible and this industry wont really become this big or profitable if

It's quite true that most people will not say that out in public because of the embarrassment of their wants.

it wasnt really for those people who do ending up on becoming addicts due to chasing up for profits or chasing up their losses or to break even. This is a common scenario or on whats happening
into this market.

Chasing the loss then trying to make profit again and not ending up making the profit, so back to square one and recovering losses again... and so on.

Since 2011 when some online gambling websites went online with bitcoin as their career then there were many gamblers who started to bet online because of many reasons.

Two of them being - For Making Money || FUN

Agree with this!

We do have that fun motive in our mind but as you do play for longer periods of time then that kind of aim or treatment would totally change overtime which is common.

Basing off on how many gamblers on this business or industry then you could really tell on what they do really aim off which is to make money. Fun is normal but having that perseverance or dedication
to make profit towards your plays is main priority.

I have been betting for some time now you know, I actually started betting at a Tender Age though, I had support from families and as well from mum and dad so I gambled for fun.
But when the quest for money came up while I was growing up, seeing my peer groups with money,I decided to make it a serious Affiar and gradually I started betting for money... funny enough I got my first 200dollars at my first year in college.

It's a bit of a paradox really, most people gamble because they think they will hit it big if they just keep on feeding the money to the gambling institution - they get trapped in a cycle where they have wasted so much money that they are always trying to recover losses. If you can play a game online or walk into a casino for a game, then leave it for a year without giving it a second thought, then you are probably getting genuine fun out of it. If you're doing it more frequently than that you may very well have a problem, it's possible you are scraping by with some meagre winnings playing something like poker with thousands of other sharks, but it's likely you are losing long term while playing any other games, is that fun?

I guess making easy money and have some fun is the end result of playing (if you are lucky). So people gamble just for the sake of playing (the intermediate variable). When a gambler plays, all of it, the waiting, adrenaline, intermediate wins, surprise win, etc., contribute to his satisfaction. It fulfills his needs to play and to experience all of it. Perhaps that's why I continue to play even after big wins. I don't think it's about greed since I understand the risk and realize I could lose it all. I think only the uninformed gamble to make money, and the filthy rich gamble for fun.

If I'm not out to make money then where is the fun, If it was just the fun then I wouldn't gamble at all. Gambling is like every other business where you make profit and loss so which ever comes your way you embrace it certainly a day that would force smiles on your face is coming I gamble both for the fun and the money because the money remains my motivation

Gambling for fun I think it's mostly just an excuse, and there will still be a sense of wanting to win because we are risking money and not going to take losses for granted.
And if it's really just for fun, I think they can limit gambling and only bet when there is an urge to play, and also play with small capital and use the extra money you can afford to lose.
and the most important thing is to play casually without any emotions and also enjoy the game, lose or win you feel happy and besides if the aim is to have fun you only play one or a few games that you find fun.

No doubt that most people gamble to make money and fun is a small part of the activity.
I have to admit that I do gamble for both making money and for fun.
I cant deny even if I do gamble for fun but sometime it is not fun at all if I lose some money when I'm out of my own control.
All in all, as long as I can handle/control it wisely, it does not matter what is my main purpose in gambling.

I agree with your statement because after all the profits made from gambling will keep the gamblers entertained, both will remain attached to gambling. It is undeniable, everyone has their own version of dealing with gambling as anything.
As long as it is based on personal encouragement, it will make the gambler feel that his actions are not from anyone's coercion. The matter of making money, or losing money, has become a common thing and does not need to be questioned anymore.

No gambler will accept to gamble for money each of us believes it's for the fun until it becomes an addict then the difference can be spotted. For me I can't really say for sure but I presume it's for fun because I am actually trying my very best to ensure I don't see gambling as a source of livelyhood I feel this way I will have full control of my games.

I'm doing this because for fun I know gambling is now increasing with time and more people are starting to profit from gambling, but for me it's not just my old pleasure in gambling games, I'm happy to be here for entertaining myself what is I do is satisfaction in gambling.

Since the pandemic I do this almost as often as I can in a casino but I know which rules come first to earn money, to be honest I can't leave my main job in the real world just for the long term, but I'm glad almost every day I can still make time to gamble, so it's really fun at this time.

We want the best of both worlds but unfortunately, we cannot, we should treat gambling for entertainment and treat it as luck if we are making money while money, we cannot win in every session the house edge will always beat us, so we must accept the reality of gambling and only play with money that we can afford to lose but don't lose your mindset if you are winning, just enjoy and have fun.
Even if we do treat it like that, there's always that base instinct that we should be making some value out of all of it because it's not that satisfying in the long-term, I mean fun is a good thing but if you think about it, fun is just a short term thing.

I can say, I am more on just having fun. As I know in the long run, I will lose money when I really sit down to play. So I just allot certain amount to gamble. Once it is gone, it means, time to park my game and just continue once I have extra.
this is a very logical thing to do because if you consider it just for entertainment, you should strengthen in terms of how much money you want to spend on gambling and don't occasionally get carried away with your greed and lust because usually even if the initial intention is just for fun, it doesn't rule out the possibility when we experience defeat, instead of retreating, we put forward our ego and lust in order to achieve victory. This has violated the original rules and principles.
other than that if you expect just to have fun and spend free time consider the benefits as a bonus while you are here.

Good performance is something that brings joy while on the opposite side, bad performance will reflect negative things, victory is an understandable emotion of longing and of course, admittedly making money is very little as soon as we come to gambling when the general perception of the world about this form is that it is not possible to make money but time is piling up more, players are contaminated by the gambling atmosphere and turn into puppets under the coins. Since then, the good side of fun is extremely small in generations of gambling, only bold with the identity of waste and bankruptcy.
Even with all the poetics, it's all the same in regards to what's sought after by many people when gambling but we all know it's the primal instinct of winning, we are competition based species and we shaped the world in a dog eat dog world so you can be sure to know that it's winning and in this case making money that's the reason why people gamble.

in reality I think we are a cooperative species but got lost in the way and competition made us forget about cooperation, many time in the name of progress
if you look at traditional communities and indians there's healthy competition but there's a lot more cooperation
