Those who invested in bitcoin way back 2009 had not experienced any bull run before nor have much knowledge about the blockchain technology, yet they took the risk to invest. You and I have witnessed a bull run and heard about the numerous potentials of crypto so why do we still have to feel reluctant to invest in bitcoin. Let's be optimistic about our digital assets because its all we have.
Then how can you say that people who invested way back in 2009 doesn't have enough knowledge about blockchain technology? Being one of the first people who adopt it or invest on it doesn't mean you don't know much about it, some of them might not experienced to gain huge profit from a bull run but I doubt all of them haven't experienced a it.  People have their own reasons why they don't want or why they are hesitating to invest in Bitcoin or any types of cryptocurrencies but that's their rights, if they feel that the market will continue to decline then why force your self to invest. All of us have our own ways to invest, when to enter and when to take to profit and not all are willing to hold it for a long period of time.

you are missing the biggest difference which is actually the reason why people aren't "investing" in bitcoin these days.

that  difference is the fact that people who "gained" bitcoin back in 2009 and basically in early years weren't getting in because they wanted to make "fiat profit". instead they got involved with bitcoin because they saw the true potential of a decentralized payment system that nobody can censor and works globally.
but these days most people are interested in that "fiat profit" which is why they are reluctant to buy bitcoin now!!! but if they started to ignore the monetary gains and focused on the real value of bitcoin they wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Are you sure you are not "off your rocker"?

Which real value should these people focus on? I don't particularly disagree with your point that early investors might in fact have got involved with bitcoin "because they saw the true potential of a decentralized payment system that nobody can censor" (though it remains to be seen whether this statement is actually true in and of itself), but did Bitcoin actually live up to its "true potential"? In simple terms, how can people actually use Bitcoin in their lives so that they wouldn't hesitate to buy it?

Because Bitcoin is very useful for me. I use Bitcoin without any hassle of transferring money around the world. Tax is not a problem here so I could use Bitcoin freely without the worries of the government. It does gave me freedom that the others doesn't have.

Being optimistic really takes a lot of strength and the people who could not stand it have equally left to pursue other interest. Its even evident on the amount of people on the forum and that points to one direction which is, a lot of people are found when things are going on fine and the moment that is out of the equation only the genuinely interested cared enough to stay.

For me, its about the knowledge that have been the driving force and as long as the forum remains the hub of information to go to, I will still be involved in crypto because its only a matter of time that things will be back to its original point which would be the envy of everyone.

may be your one sided vision is right for you, to quit asap, but we have a million reasons to stay attached with BTC.
A million reasons to stay is for those people that's willing to take anything as in that's accompanied on bitcoin. I have my reason to stay and that's a lot of reasons.

Why someone who has been in bitcoin has the nerve to get out unless he/she have sold out most of his bitcoin on all time high days. And wanted to live a well off life quietly.

Seriously, what does "it's all we have" mean? Huh Are you really serious about what you are talking about? Bitcoin is all we have? Huh If you think that way maybe you are in the wrong place and if you mean about money making and ways to earn money or investment methods, Bitcoin is not the only choice because there are tons of different methods to earn money or invest in something with value. But I still didn't get what's your point on saying these things LOL Grin
To add up, those people who bought Bitcoin in 2009 are not really investors in a way, in my point of view, they are just trying the technology and then the rest is history.

what drives a lot of people into investing in cryptocurrency is the ability to make a profit within a short period of time. So many people do not even want to know the technology behind any crypto asset they are trading. As long as it makes them profit within a short period of time. those early investors are the real heroes. They have a perfect understanding of cryptocurrency and they understand the multiplicity in the potential of these coins. even if crypto crashed totally today, they will still remain hopeful in the success of the technology.

Bitcoin has been in this difficult situation before in which for 10 years in the market its continue to survived therefore i stay as i strongly believe that it will overcome this bearish market condition making it to become great once again so lets keep on holding while the price is cheap.

Yes, I will stay here with Bitcoin even under any circumstances, because Bitcoin is very mature and very valuable, so it's very stupid to leave Bitcoin when prices are expensive, because we know that in 2009 the price of 1 Bitcoin was only $ 0.1. And now 1 Bitcoin is very expensive, I will continue here
Not matured yet, but bitcoin will grow older, which makes me sure that innovation from the blockchain that bitcoin has, is still very new in the world. there are still many people who don't know about bitcoin? so we know the "big" potential of bitcoin in the future

The fact is the old investors are the ones that makes bitcoin survive to this day ,without them no one will be here today and the last bullrun won't have happened so kudos to them ,new investors from 2017 are mainly here for huge profits not survival of the technology and many of them are the ones spreading speculations

I'm in crypto for longterm, so I'm not very influenced by the price fluctuations on short and middle terms.

If price goes up, I'm glad that the holdings I already have jncrease their value. When it goes down I'm usually prepared with some fiat to buy more at a discounted price.
Fluctuations are giving us way to make profits, taking advantage from those people  who sell their coins in cheap. We were not to be affected if we actually believe that this market will never in the dying situation. We came into many price drop since from the start but we are still alive and we are too far from before. So give my faith and keep supporting these until the end.

I have my reason to stay in the cryptocurrency. I still want to recover my losses in the last year, and I believe it will happen soon. I don't have to worry if the bull run will not happen in this year because I have much time to wait for the bull market again. I am sure that there are many people still waiting for the bull market same as me and they are buying more coin in the market because they have the purpose to recover the losses too.

For the future of my family because I do invest a lot and I know bitcoin can still grow over time. This is the best reason for me to stay, and I will do my best to achieve my goal with a much needed help from cryptomarket. Despite of the previous bear market, I'm still optimist about the future of bitcoin and good altcoins, this is not the end yet for sure.
Inspiration to succeed is a big reason why  we should stay positive, still lots of things can happen while we are continuing our journey, people will
come and go as market will be interpreted differently and those who will keep the trust will stay and patiently waiting, especially those who inspired
by the past, experienced wise it will bounce back and will bring success, it will repeat itself that what we should hold to continue surviving.

My only reason, why I'm still in this kind business simply bec. I still  believe that the price of bitcoin will increase. We all know, we are in a crypto winter for a long time. But this absolutely doesn’t mean that it will never come back. All we have to do now is to patiently wait for the bullrun.

Let's be optimistic about our digital assets because its all we have.
Rather, those who have invested in 2017, a majority of them are speculators who don't have any technical knowledge. Majority of them had invested in bitcoin because they wanted to make money and didn't care much about the technology.
That was I thought, most of them only wanted to get profit from cryptocurrency only, when the price of cryptocurrency rose they would become a volunteer promoter, not wanting to be paid to spread good information about bitcoin or cryptocurrency. However when the price of bitcoin decreases, he will run out of words to make sure that cryptocurrecy is a good place and can be used as a place to survive.

Sometimes, a good way to invest is when the investment price decreases but we still try to reverse the situation. Indeed, can I say I'm not someone who has extensive knowledge of bitcoin or about cryptocurrency as a whole. But atleast, with this forum I can learn how to invest well, how to trust bitcoin will always provide the best thing in the future.
This is a fact that majorities of those who invested in  bitcoin in 2017 have a sentiment of 'get rich quickly syndrome' and with a mindsets of seeing bitcoin as a hyip or ponzi scheme thus making huge profits and leave after massive dumping not considering the fact that bitcoin is a long term investment irrespective of tge market conditions ( bullish or bearish) personally I have no any reason to leave the world is transforming to digitally decentralized  ( blockchain technology) which a feature associated with bitcoin.

Yeah, I have reason to stay afloat and still invest in Bitcoin. And I have no reason to leave Bitcoin.
I think staying and investing in bitcoin is the right choice. Because Bitcoin has great potential in the future and I'm sure bitcoin will continue to grow.
So, Bitcoin will be a very profitable investment choice. And for now it's an opportunity to be able to buy Bitcoin at low prices.
