There's no reason anymore to feat that imo.
This was a possible outcome after the Mt. Gox desaster. Back in the that exchanges was responsible for 75%-80% of all the trading volume.
So in 2014 I really thought Bitcoin could die.
But over the last 3,5 years sooo much has changed and the space grew so fast.
I'm not worried that Bitcoin will die or crash to very low digits and never come back up.
The best devs who really understand blockchain are working on Bitcoin. Many of them hold themselves a shitload of coins! So there own interest to make this Baby the numoro uno for a very long time is HUGE! And many of them are true cypherpunks!
Furthermore Bitcoin is the most distributed and decentralized coin out there with a Blockchain where it's hashrate is growing like crazy. Therefore Bitcoin is by far the safest crypto!
And what do you think which Blockchain entrepreneurs will use if they want to realize their ideas? The majority will build on top of Bitcoin!
Bitcoin has several really powerful network effects. And they are all feeding into each other.
