Introducing Casascius coins {physical Bitcoins as you put it} to you family, is very different than introducing a digital token. They might be even more confused after you show them the physical coin. We try not to associate the two with each other, because Bitcoin is just a digital token.

The Casascius coin is only a collectors item like anything else, not a representation of the Bitcoin currency.

no i have no bit coin in physically .
and it is also useless according to me.
because the advantage of bit coins can be seen clearly according to its profit .
and i don't think that there is any profit also to buy physical coin.
i think we should buy gold coin that would be great opportunity for our future also.
and it is not necessary that we have physical btc coin or not
but we should have some btc in online. wallet .

I don't have yet. Having a physical Bitcoin is for those who wants to advance to the next level of collecting Bitcoins. It costs a lot for if your an avid collector, price of coin does not matter.

Nopes, I don't have a single physical bitcoin, but really would love to have one in future, I am not sure whether that would be possible for me or not, but at a moment I am just busy in earning digital bitcoins.

I am just curious about these physical coins, if they come pre-loaded and are used can they be reloaded at a later point? I see these come up for sale on the forum and/or Ebay at times and am wondering if they are sold primarily as collector pieces or if they can be put back into service?

I don't have one, but I'm thinking I want one now. They seem like they would make a really good poker card topper/card protector and conversation starter at the poker table.

I don't have one, no. But it is on the list of things I am going to buy, another thing on that list is a hardware wallet, will decide which one when I am ready to purchase. I know designers who make jewelries and I can probably get one made out of gold.

I've just bought a physical Bitcoin. Of course it doesn't have any monetary value, but it still looks great. Furthermore, I think it can be a very good way to introduce BTC to your family/friends: seeing it as a physical coin, I think they are more likely to become interested in "knowing more" about it. Who knows?

Do you have any physical Bitcoins?
its is casascius?how much the value in bitcoin?i really want to buy it,but i dont enough funds Cheesy i just have accecories or just souvenir shape like bitcoin, its limited edition Cheesy

No offense but if it has no value then why get it? Is it just symbolic? Because you like it? Like a medallion?

Exactly, it's just a symbolic coin.

At first I thought it's one of the expensive one's, just like the one's go on sale on this forum, but since you mentioned only for $3, then that explains why it doesn't have too much value. Could you post the other side of the coin as well in case their different? I think it would be good gift to friends and family (make them go nuts, thinking it values as 1 BTCitcoin - sort of prank Tongue ). I normally don't get amazed by these coins that much (don't get me wrong, I'll be starting to collect some soon) but the one Lauda posted a while ago: http://www.maxfield.me/blog/  It's without a doubt, the best I've ever seen so far. Anyone knows who designed it?

those stuff can be worth a tons in the remote case all this thing about bitcoin will be died and maybe forgotten, one never know

but for now their market does not exist, because bitcoin was designed to be only digital, for obvious reason

Wow! That looks great. You are right, if you have a physical bitcoin then you will be able to make more people attract towards bitcoin because it looks really cool and everyone would love to have it.
Well i guess there is still a long time for me to have one like that in my hands Cheesy

Haha. Maybe they can figure out a way to have this 'actual' coins have some digital identities. Like QR codes etc.
