90% of poker players in the long run are losers.  The other 10% are winners.  The reason is because after the rake (a small % the house takes for commission) in the long run most people lose.

Lack of discipline, greed, stupidity all contribute to why most people are big time losers.

Do you have what it takes to be that 10% ?

Yes.

Interesting you say that... Are you already a poker pro?

Yes. I've lived in Tunica at Sams Town for two years straight mostly comped from the poker room. I've lived in Biloxi a couple years and in Vegas six times, six months at a time, all the while playing poker. I've also spent some time in Laughlin, NV, with my room comped unless I wanted to pay the $10 USD a night (now, about $19 USD).

I was a winning player online till Black Friday, also had a positive ROI in tournaments. I'm currently building a poker bankroll from scratch on BitOnLine that allows Bitcoin transactions.

I tried to get a screenshot of the last hand, but I hasn't fast enough to capture it.

This is only the third tournament I've played since just prior to Black Friday when Bush was president. BitOnLine accepts bitcoins, and that's what I'll use to cash out once I pump it up on live games and perhaps more freeroll tournaments.

My assessment of the site thus far is that it runs pretty smoothly. I'll assume it's on the up-and-up, but will have to do some research in that regard. I've seen some crazy turn and river cards, but that doesn't freak me out as it does other players. In fact, the more they cry, the more they're telling me what type of player they really are.

I could go to Vegas flat-ass broke, scratch up a buy-in, and in no time afford a normal lifestyle living off the felt.

No. I'm not near patient enough. I can't do the whole sit out 5 hands until I get a good one thing. I'll end up playing with a bad hand at that point.

I play poker sometimes with friends. I never tried online. I dislike online gaming in general because I love the social aspects of playing games.

I like to watch the World Series of Poker final tables but I'm probably not a good poker player. However, I'm successful at bitcoin trading which requires a lot of discipline and self-control. There are some similarities between trading and poker, as well as a lot of differences.
