As many people don't aware of bitcoin and other crypto, do you take initiative to explain about bitcoin to others? I am spreading information and knowledge about btc to others, advantages of btc. I have observed some people showing interest or heared about btc some where. Let's spread the btc world to others, cheers.
Yes, it is a very good decision to introduce Bitcoin to others. There are many people who do not know about Bitcoin, so it would be a good initiative to give them an idea about Bitcoin. I also gave ideas about Bitcoin to some of my close friends. I cannot discuss Bitcoin with everyone, because Bitcoin is completely illegal in our country. Now I don't know if cryptocurrency is legal in your country? If cryptocurrency is illegal in your country, then you should not discuss Bitcoin with everyone, there may be legal trouble. Now the most important thing is, you should never recommend anyone to invest in Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is risky, not everyone can hold Bitcoin for a long time. If they are interested in investing on their own, you will give them investment ideas.

It is true but many people do not dare to admit, most of us only consider the market as a speculative market to get rich quick. Not only newbies, even we often discuss about the decentralization and anonymity of bitcoin in front of others but in reality, we spend most of our time checking bitcoin and altcoins prices every day.

I used to wonder if one day bitcoin suddenly became stable and no longer brought great profits, how many people would continue to stick with bitcoin as they claimed? Decentralization, anonymity, and security are what make bitcoin beautiful, but they are not what people are looking for in bitcoin.
Generally we are involved in a thought to make quick profits by relying on a slightly smaller capital and it does not only apply to beginners because almost all of us may have thought so. But after a long journey that brings us to this industry, there is some knowledge that is much more rational regarding the returns that match what we put in. We are also trapped with something that we may not be able to achieve, such as hoping for big profits by relying on small money and it continues to affect our minds all the time.

If at some point the price of bitcoin stabilizes then the interest like now will definitely decrease because people see no opportunity to make maximum money like now. Decentralization, anonymity and security may not be something that will be talked about anymore when bitcoin stabilizes and I am sure it will be forgotten a little.

I take time to explain bitcoin whenever the opportunity arises especially the concept of blockchain and how it ensures transparency. I also encourage people to learn about wallet security and not to rely on exchanges alone. It's all about empowering others with the right knowledge

Fully agree. I think a big mistake that a lot of people make (understandably as teaching is a skill in itself) is bouncing between topics in no chronological/logical order. Giving the right knowledge though also from in a digestible order is the best way to go. The core principles and origins and the basics to getting started is a great way to start...avoiding diving into a rabbit hole is key. Preparation is also key, before trying to educate someone on such a complex and new topic like Bitcoin, blockchain or anything of the like.

Yep, new people would be lost pretty quickly in BTC if the info presented is too complicated.
There is lots to dig, but not as much determination sometimes to do that from the start.
That's why things should start out small, and then progress to more difficult topics and details.

But you wouldn't do it with the people that are not interested, right?
You can be the biggest enthusiast out there, but people around you - not so much.

I think not many, maybe geeks only. If Bitcoin prices did not show such growth and would be tens or hundred dollars, we wont be having such industry as we have now. Take "from $100 to $100k" from Bitcoin and it wont be interested if not abandoned. Because of that, I dont introduce crypto to friends, as they are only interested how much they will earn by the end. There are stocks that have same "earning feature", that is why I dont even struggle to introduce or educate. Everyone is familiar with stock, everyone can open google, read a book, watch movie to get info themselves.

Yep, most out there are in crypto due to its potential in profits - that's completely true in the stage we are in currently.
However, if a person is interested in the details and how Bitcoin works - why not to share some facts with him? Maybe that will help him not to look too much toward memes that much  Wink

In theory yes, but bitcoin is so volatile that using it as a currency has never been a big concern for people.

We often refer to bitcoin as a currency, a decentralized currency, but in reality, do any of us regularly use it as a currency? I don't think many people do that.

Allow me to answer that - majority use Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency only as a speculative asset. People seems not to care about decentralization, anonymity, transparency of transaction. If I start explaining or introducing such features of Bitcoin, a person will stop listening to me or follow my though in a minute. All what people want to hear is "what to buy and when it will cost 10 times more". Many even are dont pay attention what they are buying, they look only at "green +%" and dont even remember the name of altcoin, not even speaking about project name and altcoins use cases.

It is true but many people do not dare to admit, most of us only consider the market as a speculative market to get rich quick. Not only newbies, even we often discuss about the decentralization and anonymity of bitcoin in front of others but in reality, we spend most of our time checking bitcoin and altcoins prices every day.

Spreading awareness about bitcoin is something i try to do in a balanced way. I talk about its potential to revolutionize payments and investments but also highlight real world challenges like scalability and market manipulation. This way, people can approach it with realistic expectations.

There is risk in making people aware of your BTC investments and spreading the word though. But limit it to your trusted relatives and friends, you'll never know there are criminals out there trying to get that money out your hands.

Remember that there are lots of crimes related to BTC kidnapping for ransom already. You wouldn't want that to happen to you or your family members. Just silently revolutionizing it.

Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin
As many people don't aware of bitcoin and other crypto, do you take initiative to explain about bitcoin to others? I am spreading information and knowledge about btc to others, advantages of btc. I have observed some people showing interest or heared about btc some where. Let's spread the btc world to others, cheers.

As it's right now, there is no any of my close friend that doesn't know about Bitcoin. What we discussed now is Bitcoin beyond ordinary discussion, it's the Bitcoin politics and institutional investors we discuss now a days. You know these people hold into Bitcoin in billions and there instability can make have a big impact in the Bitcoin price,  this is what we discussed most of the time since everyone knows much already, unless it's something new about Bitcoin.

As for people that are not too close to me and they are still my friend, I don't discuss Bitcoin with them and I have my reasons. The first one is financial status, people think that because you talk about Bitcoin and know much about Bitcoin, you will have much Bitcoin somewhere but you are pretending, such things can make people want to do what you don't expect and you don't really know what they might have in their mind. They can also see you as place to borrow and when you say you don't have, it becomes a problem. This are main reasons I don't talk about with people that are not close.

I have but the only reason that I have done so is because of what I do for a living.  As a financial advisor I of course help people with their finances so people such as my family and friends approach me constantly asking for help and often times bitcoin comes up.  But I take the Andreas Antonopoulos position here.  (if you're not familiar with him, I would pretty comfortably say he's regarded as the greatest bitcoin educator of all time.  Former bitcoin dev and just makes things as easy as possible to understand). Don't share your financial info, it's no ones business.  He stated "let me talk about bitcoin, so you don't have to" essentially taking one for the team.  So yes I do, but because of what I do for a living.

I do preach about Bitcoin and it's usage to friends and family but I don't take their money for investment, I did that before but it's almost ruined my career and I stopped doing that. I only advise them to do it on their own while I direct them the process so they keep watching their assets in their wallet created.

That's good and it's something to be aware of because we know that it will only make things difficult in the end.
Ordinary people sometimes do not understand the conditions where risk is always the main thing that must be considered and when they save their money in us who in fact understand better they just hope that profits continue to flow without caring about anything including the risk that bitcoin is full of volatility.

Sharing experiences about bitcoin when indeed we understand more than new people who want to start their journey in bitcoin is a good thing but that does not mean we have a responsibility for them to benefit because everything must be done independently, when indeed they feel confident in the journey they want to take then do it but don't let them just try to be fed without knowing more about what they want to do in bitcoin just because they save their money to us and only want the benefits because they trust those who invite or introduce which makes those who introduce bitcoin become burdened.

What we need to do as our own role as bitcoin enthusiasts is to share good news about bitcoin to others. Where we see criticism about bitcoin, we should be able to protect it and not allow other to preach hate words against this technology that have done tremendously well since its inception. In the spread of the news for a better bitcoin community, we should know that it is not advisable to force people into investing in this technology, but rather allowing them to willingly want to be a part of it.

The advantages and disadvantages should be made clear from sharing the news of it, so that people don’t fall into regrets or rather know how to trade and secure their funds when they begin to invest in bitcoin. Information is key and without the right information been spread about bitcoin, we may not see a fast adoption as we want but the adoption will come but not the pace that it would have come when individual enthusiasts like us are sharing the good news of this technology also.

Bitcoin is already very popular if you ask me, I can bet that 99 percent of people who live in up town cities in all the countries around the world have atleast, heard about bitcoin, while some are already into it.

Only places where I think the knowledge of bitcoin haven't reached is in the villages, most especially, in remote areas where technology is yet to break into, but it's all a matter of time though, this places will develop and they will see the light as well.
Bitcoin is no longer strange to our world, those who regularly use the internet and smartphones must have heard of it at least a few times. It is true that many people have heard about it but I don't think many of them have a basic understanding of bitcoin. So spreading the right information and knowledge is really necessary and something we should do if we can.

As for telling people about bitcoin though, well, this days, I don't really tell people about bitcoin anymore, rather they themselves come to me to ask if I know anything about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, I say yes, and they request for explanation on what it is and how it works, I explain the little I can and then give them links to read up and learn by themself, also I recommend some YouTube videos to them and that it.

I also encourage people to learn about bitcoin on youtube because I think it will make it easier for them to visualize and understand, and I also don't mind sharing what I know if they ask me. But in the end, I just share knowledge, whether to invest or not is up to them, I don't want to interfere.

A lot of things have happened to some people that showed love to help their friendsto have the knowledge of  bitcoin and cryptocurrency to develop in bitcoin and cryptocurrency investment, but something bad happened that make his friends he thought about bitcoin and cryptocurrency to gage up against him and killed the guy, hoping they can have way to his wallets and bitcoins, but their plan failed as they planned , and they were later arrested by police men and charge to court for the news to spread all over the country for people to learn from the lesson, I  have vow not to introduce bitcoin and cryptocurrency to friends again, but if any of my family members develop interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrency, I will definitely teach them bitcoin and cryptocurrency for them to have the knowledge.

Way back before when I was just new in crypto I tried to tell or talk to ny friends and family about it, to try and get them into it, but only few of them got interested and stayed.
Nowadays whenever someone finds out that I am earning in crypto and ask about it, I would just tell them that I am trading and if they continue to ask I would just say buy low sell high, I don't pursued them to get into crypto like how I used to before.

It seems like I don't remember that I told my acquaintance that they bought bitcoin, as long as I always mentioned that they always do their own research, because of course they are better off finding their own attitude.

I actually discover them because they don't want to blame me when they lose or lose its price in the crypto industry market
We as friends should only provide basic or basic knowledge regarding the knowledge of investing in crypto and the risks which are very volatile or fluctuating. The rest goes back to the person, we have to emphasize to our friend that before investing, it would be a good idea to study first, if you want to invest in the crypto industry. At least we have to match the directions from our friends and from our own learning. With an approach like this, we as friends help our own friends to become more independent and responsible in their investment decisions, so that there are no misunderstandings or blaming each other if prices experience an insignificant decline and we as friends continue to provide support to them in receive the information they need.

A friend in question should be more interested in learning Bitcoin than our desire to get him into it.
In that way, everything should be going fine and dandy.
