Suppose that a person owns Bitcoin for millions of dollars ... Suppose you know his name ... Suppose that he looks here at the forum ... Do you think he will tell everyone how he earned his capital and give you Bitcoin for development? Ha-ha-ha ...

No one knows any whale
Everybody is a whale of himself
Buy any units of any coin you think it's worth it, and I tell you, you're a whale to yourself and to the coin you bought.

Do not try to find the whales. It is impossible. They are completely unknown with the help of bitcoin decentralization and anonymity.
Only some exchanges might have their identity and it's impossible to access them.
yes, we can only see proof of their transactions, a few days ago, I saw a transaction of 5700 BTC in an exchange, it seems that it was in a big market, like binance, Bittrex, Ethfinex and others.

Whales are always a mystery in the crypto market activity, whales are those who have a lot of BTC, the owners of pizzas that get 10000 BTC are also whales, yes, they are in this forum, but they are anonymous.

whales are real and not speculation, we can see graphics on each exchange, if we see large graphical changes, then that is a sign that the pope is manipulating the market.

I don't think whales engage in forums like this. They are busy collaborating with other whales  Cheesy or perhaps buys with their other potential investments. If they will move they will just say to their brokers or trading asst.

Many often talk about the Whales in this forum, but they remain hidden and unknown despite ruling the currency trend(and profit from it).
So I decided to make a thread where we list some of their identities and activities.

According to bloomberg, end 2017
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-12-08/the-bitcoin-whales-1-000-people-who-own-40-percent-of-the-market
1000 people own more than 40% of the market

Assuming the percentage is still correct with the current bitcoin(almost 17,400,000 BTC according to https://www.blockchain.com/charts/total-bitcoins)
They own alone 6,960,000 BTC an equivalent in USD of $38,224,320,000 at the current price of $5.492 per BTC
Which is almost equivalent to the net balance of goods and earnings of Russia in 2017

The question comes automatically, do you know any whale? Are they on this forum too? How did they became rich?
I suspect that behind some of those giving signals there are actual whales but is mere speculation

I encourage you to read the below post of Chainanalysis,

https://blog.chainalysis.com/reports/bitcoin-whales-oct

Even though it doesn't talk about the identities of any whales, but it surely proves that whales are not the group of people who controls the market pricing, even after controlling almost 40% of the market!

From the article
Quote
Traders:  These whales regularly engage with exchanges to buy and sell bitcoin. With nine wallets controlling over 332,000 coins, worth just over $2 billion

While bitcoin certainly allows them to stay anonymous and only some exchanges might know the identities because of KYC, some people don't try to hide the information about their coins. The most known are the Winklevoss brothers who have at least 11k bitcoins, but probably way more than that. Barry Silbert is known to have about 48k bitcoins, which is also a pretty big amount. Then goes Tim Draper with 30k btc and some other guys. Satoshi could also be a whale and probably is a really big one. Howeber, I guess that even though these people have lots of bitcoins, I don't think they are among those who are doing trading with them and contributing to price manipulations. I tend to suppose that there are no whales in this sense, a lot of people are just behaving very similar in critical situations and that leads to price drops.

HODL is the key to wealth
How many Bitcoin do you think is required to be called a "Whale"?  100?  250? 1000? 10000? or more?

this is something really impossible, you might accidentally find an address that seems whale, but you can never link it with the real person.

If you were a whale would you waste your time talking shite here? I would not. I've often seen theorising that this place is infiltrated by the minions of whales designed to talk people into dumping. Seems like a vast waste of money to me.

Whales use the large amounts of assets they own to manipulate the market, more often than not,in their favor, and they do so, staying absolutely anonymous, someone who owns such assets as whales do, wouldn't give up his/her identity, will they..

We really do not need to go witch hunting for whales, rather we should make our own decisions, and avoid panic/FUD

There is trouble abrewing
i think sometimes some people think that the term "whale" and what it means is exclusive to bitcoin only and doesn't exist anywhere else in the world! whereas the term alone didn't even begin with bitcoin. it is a known thing that exists in any other market.

tell me who are the whales in Gold market, Stocks, Forex, Oil,... or any other market out there? the whale is just another trader who happens to have more money and can have some influence on the price. sometimes more on some markets than others.

news sites like the link you posted however love to make things bigger than they are. it is like they put a magnifying glass over it.

a whale is someone who was wise enough to invest in bitcoin and increase his stake in it. usually they start earlier and then on each rise and fall they make more profit.
just like anybody else they don't go around advertising how much bitcoin they own. will you tell us how much YOU own? i guess not... so you can not expect whales to do it either.

this is pure bullshit that they were spreading at the time. there is no way you can calculate that specially since whales are wise enough to not hold all their coins in one address but also since most of the data they are using belongs to exchanges so in other words a great number of those "1000 people" are exchanges not people!!!

Bitcoin whales will never go around to advertise to everyone that they are whales, because they will be targeted by hackers and beggars. Some people with a lot of bitcoins have been physically assaulted or friends and family were taken for ransom, so it will not be wise to reveal your identity when you are one of these whales.

Another reason for them to stay anonymous is the fact that they are manipulating the market and this might have legal issues and/or they can be targeted by traders who got burnt on the market.  Tongue

The main reason they get rich is through investments. Most of the whales in crypto market are already big time investors in stock markets or other investment vehicles.
I can't find the logic why we should still post the name of any whales we know. May I know what's your main motive for this post? Any whale in here has the right to privacy
to avoid getting harassed by any beggars in the forum.

When you consider that Bitcoin was not always so expensive as it is now, it would be a matter of fortitude to hodl to the different market movements to get to this point
Of course investors with deep pockets also bought at the high prices.

I think we need to here from one of the core member of those big exchanges to expose the identity of those so-called "whales"

Why would they reveal the identity of a trader you anyone, except for legal reasons.
There is no real relevant content in this post.

if I analyze, so far when the price of bitcoin has undergone significant changes, everyone will definitely be looking for the latest news about bitcoin
they ask, what is really happening to bitcoin, so the price changes dramatically (up or down),
My conclusion is, that news can affect the price of bitcoin, where the whales are supposed to be a group of the best mass media rulers in the world today
they are modifiers of money prices

Whales act in every small crypto market, so when they sell bitcoin the market will fall because the Pope has a bitcoin that exceeds that small market, so I think the pope will always monitor the crypto market and look for weaknesses

+1 with this guy. They or other people won't reveal who are those "whale" even thought they know who they are. That would make them feel uneasy if people know they have "much money"
