do you like slot games ?
I have a thought that i haven't won in slot games everywhere. It's even hard to hit a small prize and it seems impossible to hit the maxi jackpot. Probably i don't have luck with this one2
Not only you but many people are not lucky in gambling. If all gamblers can be lucky then all casinos need to close by now. These games are for just to give us enjoyment so always try your luck with a small amount and don't over spend just to win the jackpot. If you target only jackpot then you may lose all your money before hitting the jackpot.
that is true. there are few lucky ones out there but the house edge advantage is always at play - hence, some gamblers will win lucky and most are losing because the house edge advantage is applying to all bets. If you are lucky and win, cash it out already and don't bet more because you might lose it all
the basic concept on how the slots machine prize built are like this : 100k players spent average $12 each. 1.2 million dollar in total , the house edge take 20% from it which means $240k and give the rest to 1 or several lucky players and repeat. that's what makes people get interested, the prize are so high , there's no harm really to give it a try with a couple bucks, as long as you didn't get overaddicted with this.
I would like to ask on where did you get that 20% house edge by slot games? I didnt even know such thing since from the start because i dont really care on what is the house edge of it but i do always think that it has high HE and now as you said its 20% thats freaking high and losing would really comes next to it.For now even how big those prizes are on slots i dont have any enjoyment on playing it.
it's an old research , available everywhere and from reliable sources like harvard university. they said actually around 5% and 10% but it could be 20% at some point. i just take the highest one as it's based on math and you should have a consideration for the worst scheme. high house edge could be mean once someone win the prize it has a very large amount , worth it.
Oh i see! I didnt even tried to read out that research about slots Edge among to its players and as you said the higher the edge the higher rewards that it do gives.Just like my friend who is actually lucky on slot games i dont know how he did manage to win those amounts in a short period of time by just playing slots.I know his lucky enough but talking on daily basis then its an another story for me.
I think something important missing here is that whatever the HE is, it is applied to all bets. So, the interest gets compounded, becoming much more than the initial HE.
Let’s say, as in you example, that it is 20%. At first sight, it would seem that when people bet 1.2 million $ in total, the House takes 240.000$ and players get 960.000$. It is true indeed. But what happens when people get low prices? They bet that same money again to try to hit the jackpot. So, the House gets 20% of a big part of those 960.000$ again.
That’s why I don’t like slots.
I think you friend is either spending much more money than he tells you or he is in a veeery lucky streak.
