There are no smart gamblers in slot machines which are programmed exactly to take our money but in a gentle way. They don't take all our money by giving us 100% losing spins, they or most of them has an hit accuracy of 20-35% meaning every 1 in 4 or every 1 in 5 spins will be a winning one.The same logic goes to the people like myself who can't wait and go and play buy in feature/bonus games, the slot machine will give more losing bonus games than winning ones but it is the hope that in one of these winning one we will hit it big.Of course we win a big prize rarely and this is what keeps us coming back.

There are smart slot gamblers, they are those who can control themselves while playing it. The same as in most other gambling games, smart gamblers does exist although the number is low. As long as we know how to deal with all gambling situation wisely, we are smart already. Smart gamblers are not depending on what games they play, but more about how they play it in all related aspects such as emotion, money management, time management, etc.
I believe there are obviously some smart gamblers who can profit from slots by using effective strategies.

No strategies work on slots, that's the thing, it's totally random, there's no pattern. The only strategy, if you can call it that, is your money management. It won't help you to win, but you can last longer, months instead of days, with a proper money management. During this time you can win big, it is not ruled out, but it's never guaranteed.

~ When you win, it's easy to become greedy for more but this mindset often results in huge loss streaks.

It's important to understand that your mind set and the outcome  of a slot spin are not related to each other. You can be greedy and still win a huge amount, or, you can be calm as Buddha and lose everything. Just stop when you've lost 10% beyond what you can easily afford to lose. There are no "smart gamblers" who know more than that.

I believe there are obviously some smart gamblers who can profit from slots by using effective strategies. However, it's important to say that all strategies carry a certain level of risk. No strategy can guarantee a 100% success rate since they all ultimately depend on luck. Smart gamblers, as you mentioned are people who use a good strategy on a LUCKY day and cash out their winnings immediately after a HUGE win. They avoid the mistake of gambling for hours and hours because that often leads to the biggest mistake of all which is the greed. When you win, it's easy to become greedy for more but this mindset often results in huge loss streaks.

The thing is that if you consider a lucky day as a win, then you also need to consider unlucky days as a loss, and overall it's most probably a loss in total.

It doesn't matter if the gambling is done in a single day, or in multiple ones. The more times you gamble, the more probable it is you're going to lose.

I agree with what you said that playing slots and even all gambling is not just for fun risking money but you also have to have full control over all risks and self-control of all things such as emotions etc.
But so many gamblers forget the main things that must always be remembered when gambling and they just keep on gambling with the hope of winning without being able to control themselves.

There are only a couple of things that a smart person can use when playing slot games, the first one is money management, keeping a count of how much they've lost so far and having a target amount which if they lose they will stop playing at that exact moment. The second thing as you said is time management, a smart gambler gambling on slot machines will always keep an eye on the time they've spent on a specific machine and they can determine if it's paying off or not.

You can easily know if a slot machine is paying off at a moment or not if you spend some time and do about 50 spins or so because you can see the outcome of each spin where if there are more dead spins than tumble wins, it simply means that it won't pay anything big at that moment.
Yes, they should have certain boundaries so they don't lose everything, but on the other hand, this is about psychology and one's personality. They will forget all of that when they play, especially when they are losing, they will continue to spend everything they have with the aim of returning the defeat at the previous time. But apart from these facts, there are also some of them who have a strategy in gambling, as you said, namely time management. But yes, in my opinion, whatever you prepare, whatever strategy you have will not be fully useful, because remember, this is a gamble where you will win when luck comes.

Most of the gamblers that I've known are more casual gamblers than smart gamblers, meaning they play casual games on their free time and can  control themselves. It is not smart, but they know how to control themselves as they can play casually and are not addicted to gambling, which is why they always gamble. There are really a lot of gamblers that are addicted to gambling, but there are still casual players who gamble just for fun.
someone who gambles for fun will definitely always avoid addiction and can always control himself. because even if the person loses several times when playing slots he or she will only feel entertained by the game and on the other hand people who gamble responsibly usually always plan a budget for gambling according to the money they can afford to lose.
so I'm not surprised the gambler you know might be more self-controlled because he gambles without really expecting a big win.
That's the key, when a gambler expects a big win, then that's a road that will lead to a bad direction, which is hereinafter referred to as addiction. Yes, that will result in their minds being indoctrinated that they will win gambling, even though, that is something wrong.
Whereas people who gamble for the sole purpose of having fun, they will be able to control themselves, because they will never chase victory, and even when they win small amounts of gambling they will quickly withdraw from the game, because they will think that is a sufficient victory even if the amount is small.

This only returns to the initial mindset because indeed it is quite important especially with the condition of indifference that really must exist when gambling.
The meaning of indifference in this case is when indeed a gambler has the initial mindset to entertain himself I think they already know the direction in which they are going to gamble, regardless of defeat or victory such a thing will not be too problematic for them because if they win it is clear very good but if they lose they are aware that it is a risk that will definitely happen.
The problem in this case is that the mindset that we instill sometimes always gets out of line because of the ego that enters it which makes this a little complicated.
Even though sometimes I still feel that it is normal, but don't get too used to the ego and emotions controlling gambling because that will only make us more vulnerable.

Ideally, like that and yep slot machines work with the RNG system. how it works, to generate random numbers in each round of the slot game. RNG, ensures that each spin of the slot game is random and cannot be predicted. So, overall I agree with what you said. the important point, make this game just as entertainment by involving responsibility. because, slot games are purely luck-based.

In theory, the probability of winning that we have is smaller than the ratio of losses in each game session. there is no definite method, everything is based on assumptions and possibilities. although in practice, it's not uncommon for us to try to do it in several ways. in the end, only luck decides. however, that doesn't mean we will always lose in every gambling session. not infrequently, if luck is on our side, the profits we get can be doubled or maybe win the Jackpot.

Well, according to the title of this thread. Winning and losing is commonplace, especially when it involves betting. so, the problem lies with us as gamblers. we can define slot games as a part of fun entertainment. or, the opposite which leads to addiction.

The thing to keep in mind is that in the long term the gambler will lose money if they keep playing.

It doesn't matter if they play again in the next minute, day, week, month, or year. As long as the gambler keeps playing, in the long term the casino will win eventually.

The math behind it is very clear, so if you are lucky enough to hit the jackpot, the only way to actually win is to stop playing forever. But few people that win the jackpot actually do that, they keep playing and lose a lot, if not all of it in their lifetimes.

@borovichok, Slot machines work on a system that makes them random and unpredictable. In other words, each spin is independent and unaffected by previous spins. There is no guaranteed strategy or method to consistently win on a slot machine, and it is mostly luck that determines how much money you win. The most important thing is to gamble responsibly, whether on slot machines or any other form of gambling. Keep a budget for yourself, & never gamble with money you can't afford to lose. Focus on the entertainment value of slot machines instead of just trying to win money.

Slot machines are currently meant to offer gamblers more troubles; before one can find out how to win, it will undoubtedly be a long and continuous grind. Everything in the space progresses to the next stage, so we followed the time and tried to adapt to a more comfortable approach, but we scarcely generate profits from gambling any longer, because the entire system is fixed and elited above our standards. Meanwhile, there's no need to panic because there are always ways to start winning from these slots, I'm referring to the smart gamblers, they know what to do.
The only way to win from this slot is to have luck because slots are luck based. Without luck, we will not win even for a small amount. If you can control yourself, the slot machine will not give you many problems instead of being just a tool for having fun. But many have lost from this slot machine, including me, and that is the consequence of playing gambling. We must be prepared for whatever results we will receive so that we will not be too disappointed and think that it is a risk of playing gambling. We have to manage when we play gambling and don't follow our passion to win because that's difficult.

oh this is probably a trend on the online world since changing a parameter in code is much easier than changing things in the physical world
I'd bet on it.

of course they still need good enough odds so people keep playing and don't give up

hope and more hope...
When betting a gambler will consider the Odds that can be had, they will even choose the Odds that are worth betting on so that it is commensurate with the risk of losing some money.
But unfortunately in the slot there are no Odds and we can't even see how much profit you get when you win because what affects the number of wins is only the multiplier that comes out.
Despair will come when only defeat can be had without the opportunity to win but the majority of professional gamblers will never give up just because of losing.

something very interesting has happened in my country, particularly I have seen this in my neighborhood, here in my neighborhood there are some restaurants, it turns out that in the first days when I moved to this place, when I walked to know the streets I saw that we have restaurants here slot machines in the restaurant, so I was watching if the people who were at the bar were consuming alcohol and playing in the restaurant or if they were simply consuming alcohol and talking, days went by, I watched from my house, the past 2 months I didn't see anyone going to play in the slot machine, but curiously in all the restaurants there was another game, guess what game was in the restaurants in my neighborhood?

I highly doubt that anyone has managed to get it right, but the truth is that in the restaurants in my neighborhood, there are slot machines and there is also snooker, so people drink and play snooker, they probably bet money on snooker, because no one is playing in the pools. slot machines and prefer to play snooker? the answer is very simple: because slots are something that depends on luck and people in my country know that and they don't risk money on something that has a greater chance of never winning, they prefer something that involves skills because it increases the chance of winning more. earn money. I realized this after watching for months
I believe anyone would prefer a skill-based game if they have to bet money to win because you can believe more in yourself than in your luck because your skills are in your hand but your luck isn't, and you know that it is all on you about how you can play if it's a skill-based game and you can win if you play well, but in a luck-based game, your winning or losing will totally be dependent on the luck factor.

This happens in my country as well, people bet a lot of money on snooker or pool games and other games as well like carrom, foosball, and much more. They do it because they are skilled and they know that they can perform well and if they do that, they will get a win.

In the physical world we have seen that Lotto and similar "casinos" have been changed over the years to make it more difficult to win, while also increasing its price.

The same has happened in the casinos, for example with the introduction of the 00 alongside the 0 in the roulette, making it effectively more difficult to win.

I would assume that the same has happened online, that slot machines get harder to win over time when they redesign them.

maybe I didn't express myself well
I know each slot machine roll is independent
what I meant was if the odds of winning got smaller over time, like if someone changed the programming from 5 years ago to make it harder

I wonder if there are ways to "hack" the machines too, that would be cool to see.
