Though I haven't had any private chitchat with Vod, his comments used to thrill me a lot with that funny avatar of his too 😏. I didn't know he left the forum until today. Are we losing our icons already...?

That reminds me, I also miss TMAN. Does anyone know his whereabouts?

I didn’t have too many interactions with him so I don’t personally miss him. I think the forum as a whole is worse without him though. He was a big part of the early days here. I wish him all the best though & hope he has better health etc.

In the end, Vod attempted to become that which he claimed to fight against for a decade and he owes me thanks for stopping him from succeeding.
Dude....why are you bumping this thread just to gloat with shit like the statement above?  There's no battle to fight with Vod anymore as far as I can tell, so you're just penis-pumping like the arrogant asshole you are.  There's no need for it, and it just makes you look worse.

Drop it already and leave Vod alone.  He's already left the forum.

Edit:

I removed Og from my "trusted" list. And I suggest to all other members to do the same.
Yep.  Did that a while back, don't regret it and agree with your suggestion.

I'm just glad he wasn't able to successfully raise funds to pull his planned exit scam before leaving here.

I'm running my new project in a separate corporation and will be fundraising to develop it.  My goal is to make $1,000 a month residual income, so I can get citizenship in a caribbean country, sell my house, and retire.

Say what you want about the "feud" which was really just him attacking me with lies, but at least it shed light on Vod's health, his efforts to flee his country, and his financial situation as a result of a dozen job losses over the last half a decade that caused him to sell off BPIP and then attempt to raise funds the same way hundreds before him were attacked by him for doing...  In the end, Vod attempted to become that which he claimed to fight against for a decade and he owes me thanks for stopping him from succeeding.

I am not sure what caused Vod's issues. Probably some kind of trauma. He has had issues for a while. I think the likely isolation caused by the pandemic probably made things worse for him.
I have no idea what kind of isolation Vod was going through, but that stroke certainly couldn't have helped his mental status.  In fact, I'm pretty sure there was a correlation between when he announced that he'd had the stroke and the beginning of the bad judgement calls and crusading against OgNasty and (I think) one or two other members.
It is possible Vod's stroke happened around the same time he started getting into it with OgN. If this is the case, his stroke may have contributed to his problems.

I think Vod had a hard time lettings things go.

I hope he will be happy in his future projects but I am in doubt he will return.
Well, considering that he razzed Quickseller for not keeping his word that he was leaving the forum for good a while back (at least I think it was QS; it could have been Spoetnik), I have a feeling that Vod is truly gone for good.  I don't get the impression that he made the decision on a whim, and he probably thought good and hard about whether he still wanted to be a member here--and he decided not to be.
I never said I was going to leave the forum. I said I was going to take a break around the time I was involved in the escrow controversy.

I somewhat suspect Vod is in fact gone from the forum for good. At least via his Vod account. Vod made a statement that made me believe him leaving is not by his own choice:
I probably will not be allowed to have any more contact with him after this week.
Vod had created a website about OgN in order to smear him, and doxed him. It is very well possible the situation escalated to something that forced Vod to not interact with OgN, and Vod may have been given advice to not use the forum anymore.

I guarantee you not a single person here cares.

Actually, shockily... it seems that 67.6% miss Vod.  Which is shocking to me because my experience with Vod was super fucking negative.

Current poll:

Yes   - 25 (67.6%)
No   - 8 (21.6%)
Who?   - 4 (10.8%)

Don't you have anything better to do with your life?

Don't you have anything better to do with your life than to comment on shit I should do with my life?  Esp if you don't care about any of this.

Go jerk off in a sock or something.

What are you doing with this thread really, other than trolling?

and I'm trying to use this VOD drama to whore my signature! Tongue

You're hoping you can troll him into coming back? Why? Just be the bigger man and leave it be.

I'm absolutely not trying to troll him to come back.

I've not spoken to Vod since I was instructed by the Royal Mounties not to.

If Vod will be happier being away from the forum then I wish him the best. I missed any drama you mentioned he was involved in recently, I was not focused on those threads but I think he has mentioned in the past he was leaving but he always returned so he will probably be back and will not be gone for good. If he will be busy focusing on his crypto projects (https://clubcrypto.live/) then it might be good for him to have a break from here.

Speaking of TMAN, he was last active in March 2020. Has anybody heard from him? I never had any real interaction with him, just a few posts here and there but he has been away over a year now, I hope he is alright.

Does anybody know the longest period Vod has ever been away from the forum?
He was absent from the forum for a while around the time he had his stroke, if I'm not mistaken.  I do recall a period (or two) where I hadn't seen a post by him for long enough that I actually noticed it--sort of like TMAN.  Those periods of absence weren't all that long, though.

IMO, it's probably better for him because for the past few months at least he was engaged in nonstop drama that appeared to be stressing him out (and it wasn't really getting him anywhere).  If he's got his own business now and no longer needs bitcointalk in his life, I'm happy for him.  Aside from my very early days on the forum, I've always had a great deal of respect for Vod and liked him to the extent that I knew him.

I had no idea he had left. Does anybody know the longest period Vod has ever been away from the forum? His profile shows his last activity was on 11th April 2021. I hope he will be happy in his future projects but I am in doubt he will return.

Do you miss the Bitcointalk user VOD?

Thanks for voting!

This is my last post on this forum.  No fanfare, big meta thread or attention.

While I would like to come back once I get the exact number of coins Matthew embezzled, I've decided I'll put the proof on a special NFT.  I probably will not be allowed to have any more contact with him after this week.  I was disappointment in the lack of response here to his multiple crimes, but I will take the words of Cypher and our very own Cyrus - "Ignorance is bliss"

I have received some funds, and have officially started my business.    I no longer need any investment in the corporation.

Now fuck off, I got work to do!  Smiley

Until I read your post, I didn't knew that Vod left forum. I can say that I will miss him here. After all, he was one of oldest active membees here and he contributed a lot. Yeah, I know that there was long time dispute between him and OgNasty, I don't know who is right there, and, honestly, I couldn't care less - it's not my business. I just hope that Vod will do fine outside forum.
You can love them or hate, but I think that forum lost too many long time members in recent time like Vod, Lauda or TMAN. And some of them like Bruno or TECSHARE left us forever...

What happened to @Vod to cause him/her to be mentally afflicted though? Based on what I have seen in these forum and his trust rating, I am sure that people are going to miss @Vod because if I base my opinion on the trust, @Vod is by far the only person that works real hard busting scams on this forum.

Isolation can really take a toll to someone but @Vod should have some way of communicating with family but who am I to judge, sometimes you can still feel isolated even when you are with your family. I hope that whatever @Vod is feeling right now or the problem that he currently experiences, that he will recover from it and go back to this forum.

Do you miss the Bitcointalk user VOD?
Personally, I do [FYI, I'm straight] and on a serious note, I felt an emptiness when frequenting the "Project Development" board [for the past couple of weeks] and it's a shame that it took a thread/poll like this to make me realize that one of our best assets is missing [SMH].

the only complaint I could have would be the unnecessary drama between longtime forum members. Everyone isn't always gonna get along, but the back n forth drama could be handled better.
Amen to that!

I would look like a belly dancer in a large lol... but you do get more exercise than I do.
I know this is way, waay off topic but don't worry your purtty lil' head about how that t-shirt is going to fit my bodice, my man.  It might just happen that I will never wear the thing but keep it as a collectible of sorts, kind of like a couple of those stickers that I kept for myself (I could use some more of those if you wouldn't mind; I can stick them to things visible to the public now that the weather is getting nicer).

I've been using the shit out of that little solar battery pack thing, it's super cool.
More off-topic madness!  This thread is degenerating into anarchy!!  But yes, I recommend anyone with the spare cash to do so buy a power bank of some kind and keep it around you in case you find your phone or other USB-chargeable device low on juice.  I gave a gift of a power bank car battery charger to a family member and it has come in handy at least twice that I know of.  Those things could save your ass.

BAC, t-shirt?  No gots yet.

They are literally rolling around in the back of my car.

I think I'm procrastinating so much because I'm confident they aren't going to fit.

LOL.  I know there was some serious friction between you two, at least toward the end before Vod decided to leave the forum, but I think bitcointalk was better off with him here than not.  It's not like the two of us are close friends or anything, but I'd say I miss his presence--although it was pretty clear his thinking as of late was not as clear as it was when I first became aware of his existence (2015).  That was a shame to see, because he's a bright guy and was always pretty solid.

There's been a dearth of drama since he and Lauda left (and I'm pretty sure CH is gone as well).  That might be a good thing overall, but at least said drama always made for some interesting reading--as long as you were an innocent bystander and not a target of it.
