personally i don't rely on odds even it's too obvious who's going to win. there's still a lot to consider, even if there's a high chance of winning it still better if you are going to review the players, game, matches, injured players, weather, etc. i don't know if it's just me but i'm not comfortable if i didn't do these things.

Well, this depends on the people. There are a lot of people that just bet on the team they are supporting or following for the entire season. But if you wanted to win, obviously, you will ensure that you need to win and that also means doing things in order to increase that percentage or probability of winning which includes doing some analysis based on given information.

between the teams and recent wins/losses of the teams.
What do you follow when you are betting on sports: is it the odds or your knowledge and experience? Or maybe you're one of those people who bet on the favorite team or perhaps follows a gut? Do odds even matter to you? If yes, how important are they for your final decision?

Well, that really depends on the odds gap.
If the gap is huge, then that surely means theres a mismatch.
And if the gap is close, then that probably means there's a close difference between two teams. May it be stats, game history between the two team going against each other, injuries, or other factors that affects the normal rotation of a team.
Nevertheless, your experience and knowledge about a specific league will help you beat the odds sometimes.

If the odds were something like this well I really think I should just rely on odds. It's rare to see such odds in my opinion but there's no assurance that it will always win it's still gambling after all.

Odds does matter and they are particularly more useful when you want to see who is the favorite team. The favorite team or the team which is winning mostly gets lower odds and the weaker teams gets the higher odds. This is mainly true for the sports betting.
You're right, if bookmakers want to make money they have to be accurate with the odds they provide. But I think sometimes sportsbooks use fake odds to mislead bettors...

Matches are becoming unpredictable these days especially in EPL games, choosing a lower odd with the hope that the chances of winning the bet by the favorite team is bright is not guaranteed this season and has become thing of the past e.g in 6 previous matches played by Arsenal in EPL has a lower odd based on their track records of winning while playing a lower table or mid table teams  however they lost many of these matches thus a bettor who staked Arsenal to win will eventually lose, the match used as example by OP was not a sure bet because arsenal eventually lost that match against Burnley.

Sometimes, you will know the chances of the possible winners and losers I tried that multiple times in parlay and I can really tell that it work most of the time if the odds was around 1.40 and above but that's a little bit risky.
Sticking out to favorite ones is one of the common indication for most people but for those people who've known better then those would really be changing up.

I agree that it might work on sticking out into that principle but there are times or odds which isnt really worth the risk. You can earn 1.5x or lower with higher chance of winning
but doesnt mean that it would really come along the way.

Sometimes there are bets where the other side would most likely to win or shall we say we do totally oppose on what bookies or the majority been thinking off.

I've recently created a discussion about the odds of various outcomes and the gaps between the likely winner and other options, but some replies raised another questions that I believe is worthy of being discussed. When placing bets on sports, I rely heavily on the odds, especially if someone has a very high probability of winning, like here:

I placed a small bet on this match on Sportsbet.io:

But of course when the odds are close to one another (2.5, 3.1 and similar), I try to rely on the history of matches between the teams and recent wins/losses of the teams.
What do you follow when you are betting on sports: is it the odds or your knowledge and experience?
Following the odds rendered by the booker when placing a bet on sports seem unfair from my perspective, sometime the booker rendered odds in favor of the team that won't win the game. Having said that, this is something that has to do with money, and relying on my conclusion on the house will only make one of those lazy crypto investors that invest base on hype.

Do odds even matter to you? If yes, how important are they for your final decision?
Odds matter to me but i dont use it to judge my finall decision.

I have gained lots of sad experience in betting. So now when it comes to betting o try as much as I could to consider the team playing especially in these Covid19 period where it’s a hard to have good predictions. The odds matters in betting because it tells of the game is worth playing.

At the present time, it is really very important to take into account the factor of Covid 19. Because even a very strong team that has a minimum odds set to win can lose if several of its main players get sick with coronavirus and do not take part in the game. Also, so many players can get sick that there will be no one to replace them.

Same thought here even how many posts here tells they are not relying in Odds but if you are a sports bettor you know what factor Odds can give and lessen your work in checking which is which is in advantage position or not.

Though let others do their Hunting Job in whom they think is advantageous or not.

I don't have much time to make searching as i don't really Investing lot's of time and Money so Betting did not matter that much.

I choose Higher Odds specially in Boxing ?since professionals are more knowledgeable than Mine so letting them make the win for me.

In my opinion, depending on the odds too much when placing bets it can make us lose money. Sometimes a weak player / team can beat
a stronger player / team, so learn from my experience that has been doing sports betting for 2 years. There are other things that can predict
the outcome of the match, usually I compare the players / teams who will play. From there we can have the data, which in my opinion is more
effective at predicting the outcome of the match, so we can place bets correctly.
We can all do the suggested method in sports betting, I mean the right method according to experts but that doesn't guarantee we will be successful. By saying success that means a real consistency or success in the long run because real definition of success is not only winning today or tomorrow but you as a gambler to be able to withstand all the trials and make your long journey a profitable one.

Those that are stated by yours are just basic things to do as a gambler, but like I said, it does not guarantee a win.

Mostly if you are trying to check most of the beginners do not want to take a risk so they rely on the odds but again sometimes the odds become too crucial and gives a dilemma where you will put a wage in which teams. Still, it's better if you make research as I've done.

Players stats
Team stats
Team win
Player will participate in the match
Previous encounter
Which draft they strong
Which draft they are weak
Final is the odds

If you think you got all of the things you want there is a higher chance you win even ignore the odds.
Sometimes underdogs can do changes and miracles.

Odds matter big time to me, and I'll explain why. I prefer betting on something which is unlikely(high outcome odds), but not absolutely unlikely, at the same time. I wouldn't bet on a losing team, in a soccer match, when the score was 0:2 and the time left till the end of the second half was 10 minutes, however big the odds were. But if the odds are pretty high, but the probability of the event isn't that low, like of the draw here

I try to exploit this discrepancy. (^^My today's bet isn't the best example. Sometimes the outcome odds for an event with the same probability can be above 7.00. That's when it's definitely worth a shot.)

Nowadays I like to check previous results, current team form, the condition of the two teams (suspensions, injuries), and head2head results. Also how much recovery time the opponents had after the last played matches.

That can really help you to decide which team or player are going to win. Lower odds doesn't guarantee that they would win, sportsbetting is also a form of gambling after all. Analyzing those things you've mentioned could reduce alot of risk of losing then verify if the lower odds team could really win.

These odds presented by these online casinos could really help bettors. They could look at which odds are higher and use that to compare to other online casinos in which they could identify better teams or players. They could also do some researches that would also give them more information on who will put their money that even though some teams have lower odds, people still bet on them.

definitely majority has one stand on this ,Choosing High Odds in each bets though the one you mentioned about Looking for their own odds is best way to secure your bets.

But with that regard, there's no way looking at our own odds will surpass the computation of the system which is based on statistics and probability. On the other hand, most of the odds produced by the game is focused on that particular game itself, it doesn't mean that we cannot make our own odds such as looking at the long term games, computing the odds of not just 1 game but the entire session of when we are playing. In that way we can apply different gambling techniques in betting as we control our funds ourselves, not relying merely on the system.

Making research of your own to determine which will win?and if this also supported by Odds then for you it is a sure win already.

We need assurance from our self before betting , Yeah this is 100% sure but at least we trust the said bets and what matter is the outcome we will accept with open heart and arms.

There's always an incomplete assurance in betting, we need to be brave enough to choose and decide but we should be careful and accept whatever the outcome of our bets.
