Yes I see it as game and discipline so it has to be taken serious if you wish to be on winning side. The most important factor that should be considered seriously is money management ... avoid emotions ... place your limits how much you can loose each days and dont break ... (place TP/SL) on each and every position ... Kiss

I enjoy trading to a certain level, although I must admit I'm not the kind of person who watches graphs all day long closely and only make trades when I can squeeze a profit out of it. This means I'm sometimes not active for months on the cryptomarket if my portfolio is consistently red. Also, I never trade with money from my own bank-account; my stakes originate from tasks done on the WWW, so the worst-case scenario is that I lose that all, while my savings remain unscathed.

For me trading is really just one thing, gambling... It feels great to win, but more devastating to loose. I have huge respect for those who really master the psychological aspect of trading. I have more then ten years excperience playing poker, but trading is much more addictive and problematic for gamblers.

Its gambling if you trade lower level new altcoins which have no future. If you trade the top coins then a sudden dump may become a long term profit.
In other words trading is a game if you know the coin and all the news about it.

for me, yes. Trading is very fun business. We can earn money while doing other things, hanging out with family maybe. while money continues to work in market. maybe it's more true for longterm traders, and i hope to be like them.

Not if you are losing money. Trading is serious business, any body that says otherwise must have a very good edge. I guess it could be fun if you are making profits, but my understanding is that less than 5% of day traders are in green.

I've never seen trade as a game of fun source, but I couldn't do it properly. I made mistakes and this caused loss for me. I'm scared of it. I want to start once again on bittrex or kraken, but I can't make sure if I can handle it again. Very taft job.

Trade for me has risks, but I still regard it as a serious kind of earnings, and not as entertainment. This newcomers can mistakenly play in trade and lose money.

I can't play around with trading. trading is always a mental drain and my thoughts, because I put a lot of money in it. so I was never seriously considered it as a fun thing.

There is no such a thing as fun when it comes to you risking your money. ...
That's why I agree with those who say that it shouldn't be a real risk. One should think which amount of money will be okay to lose and only set this money on trading. I started trading recently with 0.003btc, for this is not the money that can really affect my life. I buy and sell small amounts of coins, sometimes with profit, other times I lose a bit. But it truly is a game for me now. And I suppose the op is right that only in such a way one can truly learn to trade. Otherwise trading will become an obsession that will cause damage to one's life.

Yes trading is not really a game.
Trading must have good mental skills and thinking. And the most important is capital.
The risk of loss is huge but the opportunity for profit is great.
so I think trading is not a game but a job.

Trading is more serious when there's a lot of money on the line.  Some people have made huge gains with the great increase in values, and doesn't yet click for them how much they have till they cash some of it out to fiat.
Yeah Trading for me is not a games for me it is a serious job. There are big amounts of money that you can earn in trading so I can't see the trading as fun or just a games. Trading is very risky so do not say that the trading is a game or just a fun.
When you have started with trading, and what is your background?

For me trading is fun, it is fun to learn the chart and it's really fun when the speculation is right, but it is not a game at all, trading is a serious business because if you make a wrong move or trade with unclear mind you can lost money, and it is a high risk job, so I always serious in trading

For me trading is not a fun and games, but a interesting job that sometimes can make us happy and also stressing because trading is related to money and has a huge risks, so we have to do it seriously and enjoyed the process
Yes! Trading is not fun at all. It is a proper job and we need to work cautiously with coins while doing trading to get more money. Nobody trades by aiming low profits, everyone wants to make grand profits and for that you really need to take trading serious. Trading requires proper time and sound knowledge to win the game.

Whenever trading causes feeling of being stressed or even desperation that's subconsciousness signalling that something wrong with trading approach. Stop trading and reconsider trading strategy. Find the reason what makes feel uneasy and eventually lead to bad trading decisions. The reading more about that it's not about listening to music while trading.
well that's good advise mate knowing the real reason behind and never stop learning as we knew that trading is really a good venue to earn a lots of money having fun while you are getting al lots of money will bring more joy from this activity so better to treat it that way if you are no longer enjoying then stop
for a while and reassess yourself.

I'm not sure about others but for me trading is very serious business and I look forward to take it that way now and forever. Bitcoin/altcoin trading has given me finances that I use to support my life and family as well. I can not have fun with it, I can play with it but for the profits that it gives me when I make successful trade.

Trading was fun in the early stages when I did not know much about it but it become serious chapter when I saw the power of what it can do when giving you big returns.

Making money is a serious business and you cannot take it for fun as if you are careless then it will make you to go through loss and no one wants to loose their hard earned money only for the sake of having fun as in primary stage when I was a newbie I have made many losses but everything I took it as an learning lesson and now if I trade I trade only to make money that's it.
- Yeah, sure, we should seriously when trading, if we consider it a game and fun, we will lose a lot of money and make the wrong decisions, this is not a game, this is a real job, work can make a lot of money. But in some ways, I think we can also see it as a game to relieve pressure while trading because we are too serious, we will be very difficult to accept loss, serious is necessary but fun is indispensable

It's certainly not a game as real money is at state and some level of seriousness must be felt in trading. However I agree with others that it can be fun and might as well enjoy the ride, just be a smart and prepared rider rather than a sucker.
