Yep, limiting in gambling keeps us mindful of our goal in gambling, that's to gain winning and not about how much we achieve that win but about pluses we get. However, i'm sure only a few gamblers can do that. In fact, i'm often lost in gambling. when won, i was always interested to continue game that ended up just wasting time.
The issues is that many people like to lose control when they are having fun, and when people do that then they are not watching any of the important details, like how much they have lost, or the amount of time they have been gambling and then the next day they are surprised they lost a lot of money.When we set limit , we will have restriction when we play. We will use a little money when we have limit, that is why it is better to have limit and restriction. It depends on yourself, if you dont want to lose all your money when you play then it is better to set up some limit because it is for the better good
When someone plays and didn't set a limit, it means they have no guidance. At some point, the game will force him to pick the limit. It's when he has nothing to play again and I think no one wants to face such situation.
