Do you spend your Bitcoin?
Absolutely, YES. I think everyone does.

After reading all th previous replies, i can say that i am the first one to admit that he is spending al the bitcoins he ever got.
Back to 2014 when mining was introduced to me for the first time (also first time to know about bitcoin), i owned considerable amounts of bitcoin but sold them at any time i need. Actually, i still win some btc but it's all spent because i am running a commercial business and eed money often .
Well, you have the purpose of spending them and I think we all have that. HOLD and HOLD, I don't think that was necessary, as long as it was for good and it was important that it needs to address, no doubt I'm still doing the same.
To solely invest in crypto wasn't a healthy idea IMO. I converted some of my Bitcoin to our local currency of some investment outside. yes, it didn't look more profiting compared to crypto but what I think is that, I can share this with my family.

Which country are you from? Show me one single instance where the customs checks if things are bought with BTC/crypto. This will never happen in customs in any country today.
Made me wonder also , because in transaction slip(If there will be) surely it will be indicated as Dollars or Fiat and will not in Bitcoin so how come that custom officials may trace that he uses crypto in buying the items.

That is nonsense and never happens. And they did explain it but anybody who has ever bought something from overseas will tell you, customs are only interested in 1> How much is the value of the thing you brought it 2> Is it allowed to be brought in 3> Is it taxable from customs.

This is what decides how much they tax you if any,,, they do not care if you used gold, dollars, shells,,, and have no authority to find out anyway.

I bet on useless shitcoins i received from free airdrops/giveaways but all of them didn't get any value, they are still in my wallet as collectibles.  Cheesy

But what stops you from getting paid with or buying stuff with BTC? No government can block your Bitcoin wallet unless they shut down your access to internet Smiley
i didn't mean that, if crypto is illegal in my country and if i bought something from another country to using crypto, then which product must be picked in custom firstly and it will checked here before i received, so it could be complicated to buy anything using crypto.

So I still do not get it. When you sell something with BTC and you ship it off to customs you have to declare the value in USD or whatever fiat anyway,,, never in BTC.

you are right maybe, btw i heard something like that happened with one of my friend, he ordered a hardware wallet and when it's shipped in custom btw can not receive to custom i don't know what happen exactly.

Of course I didn't spend the Bitcoin I had, I split it in half. Half I sell and convert to fiat and the other half I hold until the Bitcoin price goes up high, I really need to be able to enter and exit trades quickly and precisely to make a profit. This strategy is done because I think it is suitable for me as a day trade or long term if you don't want to miss the moment of rising Bitcoin prices.

I have both, because I believe that holding bitcoin has a good future.
And some of it I use to play trading to get daily profit.
In my understanding trading cannot be a kind of spending; it is definitely an investment because by using your bitcoin as a capital you are trying to make profit and it will be possible if you are enough skilled then you will not be losing your initial bitcoins which will remain as it is then how you are considering trading as a kind of spending.

At the same time if you are using your bitcoin for gambling then you must consider it as spending bitcoin because you cannot expect any return from gambling but the case of trading is totally different.

everyone must be waiting for a hold whether long or short but what is clear is that they are here to find wealth with their bitcoin, and there is no reason to spend it except time and something urgent. even I myself will always collect it, whether it's bitcoin or altcoins

I also do this because there's nothing wrong spending it especially if you really need to. Indeed. It reduces risk of losses and might give you good profit. But, Most of the time, hodl only! There's nothing wrong spending but it's better to choose wisely and spend it in a good way like purchasing for your daily needs.
Spending or holding bitcoin is a choice depending on the bitcoin owner himself. It doesn't matter if you are not a bitcoin holder as you may prefer to be active in trading rather than investing long term. I believe that bitcoin holders get a much greater return on their investment in bitcoin if they have been doing it for a long time, they take this risk simply because they know that bitcoin's potential is much better as a future investment asset. There is nothing to regret because between traders and investors just do different ways to profit from bitcoin.

Nevertheless I firmly believe that trading bitcoin, spending them, and holding them is something that supports this bitcoin to survive as a decentralized currency as well as an investment asset.

Do you spend your Bitcoins or just hodl?

If you spend
What for and do you miss something that cannot be bought for Bitcoin yet?

If you hodl
For how long and why don't you spend?
Do you have exit strategy or you will spend it after you can buy your desired thing?
I spend some of my profit, usually for daily needs or maybe if i gain much, i transfer some of my money to other business. Maybe selling something or another assets like property. Because i know crypto trading is risky and we don't know when actually we will face a losses in trading, so made a back up with real business can be options.

I do these operations, using the profits in other operations, it could be a good method, I think it reduces the risk of losses, consequently the opportunity for good profits .. Every choice has consequences, you must always choose wisely ..

Personally, I wouldn't spend bitcoin in a way that would accept payment for it.  I can use them in a variety of ways for crypto related elements but spending to shop for online purchases it seems redundant compared to the level of confidence in using bitcoin for me.  Who knows the opportunities for Holder are more, in that future 100 years will be the last bitcoin mined.  I will be a millionaire with my bitcoin holdings.  Lol

Most of the time, hodl only! I have invested in bitcoin heavily in the dip and it paid me back with huge return. I don’t usually need fund as I have local business. When I need extra fund which I can't source from my personal fund and business, I have to sell BTC.
Back in the day, I had good amount of BTC but sadly I sold them too early which is why now, I don’t want to be nocoiner at all. I'm buying every dip, will hodl them until I need to spend for purchasing something.
