t has been a wild ride over the years, if you were around since before the MtGox episodes. Some people got left behind there and then we had Silkroad and what came with that. We went through all the Cloud mining scams and Ponzi's and HYIP and people who got hacked and lost huge amounts of coins.

The road to success is never paved. We will hang on and receive the rewards when it's time.

I joined up over here in 2012-13. At the time it seemed like a way to make a quick buck. Overtime as i read about it more and more, i became interested in the freedom it provides. As time has went on however, my interest and belief in bitcoin have waned. I won't get into the details of why, but i'm wondering what your honest opinion of bitcoin is, with a simple vote, and possibly an explanation.
I believe that the bitcoin will changed my life

I learnt and entered the Bitcoin world from 2014 and never lost interest in it since then, right now I am thinking of starting a local business (still unclear as to where to start) where I would offer the product/services in BTC with a little discount, it would be a good way to attract attention of people who are unknown to it and educate them when they ask for it. So to answer your question, "Yes", I completely believe in it.

I still believe in Bitcoin. I started with Bitcoin in 2012 primarily as a get-rich-quick scheme, but pretty soon afterwards I learned there was so much more than that. As a tech guy, I am very interested in the technical workings of Bitcoin, the development, and all of the possibilities that we can do with Bitcoin and the blockchain. I still believe in Bitcoin, but less as an investment and more as a technology.  Cheesy

Interesting take from someone who obviously has more experience. I think it's natural, I mean, the enthusiasm must start to fade year after year, but I feel that maybe you had too much misplaced hope in the first place. I recognize Bitcoin as a unique technology and completely innovative idea just like the internet was in the 90s, but we are still far away from the potential. Plus, you can't deny that as a investment if you bought a a good price in 2012 or so it has been appreciating yearly and it all points that it will keep doing so.

I still understand where are you coming from, there's a lot of issues still unresolved and Bitcoin still seems "stuck", let's see what 2016 brings. Grin

I believe it's exist and believe it as part of a Fintech revolution through its blockchain system. But then I think many party take advantages from its existence, and some party blur its core meaning as a part of cryptocurrency. It's just my opinion based on various source of information. But, I still believe it.

Being seen as a new type of currency makes me believe in bitcoin and its innovation is actually different. It's a currency of a new era.

I believe in bitcoin, of course, but much more in cryptocurrency.

So I think that in the next future bitcoin will implode and probably it will be replaced but another more performing cryptocurrency.

Which one? I'd like to know.... :-)

Yes, I don't think that 8000$ for one bitcoin can be considered very  unsuccessful. So I still believe in Bitcoin. Smiley But even though there are no limits of growth, let's not forget that life is full of bad surprises, so I wouldn't bet my life on Bitcoin's immortality.

This technology has attracted too many skilled individuals to just disappear. As for whether it could be valued any higher, I'd say yes. So long as it hasn't reached the scale of a large bank, I think there's still room to grow.

With different industries adopting it, this will appreciate in the future and now even just the majority users of bitcoin came from the gambling industry it is stable already.
