I still use fiat to buy things on Amazon.com. It is still quite convenient for me to use fiat. I use bitcoin to buy electrical goods on other sites.

Yeah, even I use fiat to buy things on Amazon.com but I also check the price of bitcoins on that particular day, if the price of bitcoin is low then I make payment with bitcoins, and the the price of bitcoin is high, I use fiat currency to make a payment, its better to shop looking at the price of bitcoin on that particular day  Grin

I've never heard of Purse.io. So I don't really know what it is. I'm guessing it's a payment tool.

I have purchased some books in the past from Amazon. I paid with PayPal at the time.

I didn't know about purse.io up until now, I checked out their site. I might try it out.

Yeah, I do know about purse.io and I do use it. It is much cheaper and faster shipping compared to some of the amazon sellers. I have bought some headsets and mice from there and they arrived fast and in great condition. I would definitely recommend the site to anyone that uses Bitcoin and wants to save money(i'm pretty sure that's everyone).

Tried to use it once, purse.io to order stuff in France. Things got very complicated and I have regretted using it. Since then I am buying with my credit cards!

sadly yes, but because i find purse.io too slow, they should speed up the procees, with amazon i just do one click and everything will be proceeded

there you need to wait for the right buyers etc...still hoping that one day amazon will accept bitcoin, maybe when it will be too big to be denied

Shit, did I leave the stove on?
I am more accustomed to using credit cards but when I need some quick smaller purchases I just load up some Gyft cards instead.

I use gyft.com.

Although with http://www.minerscenter.com/ offer of giving you an extra 10% for your BTC, I imagine that would be the smart way to use your BTC at the moment.

I use fiat only. Bitcoin is for hoarding and speculation, fiat for economic activities.

That is the most ignorant thing I've ever read on these forums.

I used the UK site. I think not many people are buying here in the UK

I just use coupon codes that I get the shipping paid for fully and sometimes a coupon code to get products free after doing a review for my group. Wink

Seems complicated.  I just buy gyft cards for amazon and save 3%.

I've tried to use purse to make some larger purchases around the £500 mark and the orders never get filled. Ironically, had a normal person just bought it straight up, they would have been in handsome profit right now as I made the order when BTC was under 250 a piece.

Could be due to using the American site but I bought a $1700 laptop there with (I think) a 15% discount. I did start at 50% to see if anyone would take it, and I wasn't in any rush, but I had to bring the discount down.

As for speed...usually if it's under 20% discount it'll get filled within a few hours (again, for US purchases). I always default to 20%.

Doesn't appear to work in the UK. There's also very few options for instant buying at market prices in the UK so any discount would be eaten up with premium even if it did work as I'd want to buy and replace.

I think it's one of those things I'd regularly forget to do if it was possible.

Well, I actually have gift card balance, and use to sell it on purse.io, so I tend to buy things with gift card balance directly. Using purse.io has great discounts, but it is slower too as you need for someone to get your "order"

No I dont escrow anymore.
I'm curious if people who actually know about Purse.io still actually pay full price for things on Amazon when you could be getting your purchase at a 20% discount.

I'd like to know your reasons why. For my friends and family I understand because they're scared of this "bitcoin" thing, but for those who use Bitcoin, why would you not?

If you don't buy things on Amazon...not really asking you anything here.

Well you cant actually pay full price, max is 99% last time I checked. Last time I bought something via purse.io I paid 99% and added a little extra for shipping. Mainly because those grinding their ass for some amazon points and selling them on purse.io to make a living should not be forced into a discount. Im perfectly fine to pay the full price, I just want to pay in bitcoin. Even with purse.io its a pain because I have to use .uk.co instead of .de which means everything with a plug uses a different outlet.

I actually don't use purse.io even though I know about it. I am a little concerned about purse since it is pretty much a carder's paradise. So much credit card fraud happens there and I don't want to be involved in that.

I use a bitcoin debit card for my purchases.

They escrow now and IIRC even insure against CC fraud up to 1000 USD.
