That's a lovely story. I used to watch him giving away to people who he thought was helping. I hope he's well and the love has come back round to him. I haven't been on here for years but thought I would check it out in this bullrun. I would have done so many things differently lols. Hope you are well 🙂

Bipolar Bob was a legend 🤩🤩🤩

Indeed he was.  He gave to me at a time when it helped and I've tried to give back more to others as a thank you.  One thing I really respect about him is that he seemingly gave to so many people that his generosity was almost certainly abused yet he continued to give without concern.  I've struggled with my giveaways to find users worthy of receiving such kindness and have stopped many due to abuse.  BiPolarBob didn't have this concern.  I feel like he would have given to 100 scammers if that meant he could help a few people who genuinely needed it, and that is an attitude that impresses me, as I struggle to try and cope with the idea of helping everyone in spite of their worthiness.  Whatever events led up to BiPolarBob's kindness, I am thankful for them and I hope to one day inspire the sort of pay it forward kindness in others that BiPolarBob helped to establish in me.

Eh he repaid some of our loans as well and given free BTCs in a few different ways. So I guess he actually lost out more than you think.
Holy shit--I get that this thread got necrobumped for whatever reason, but it's like a blast from the past.  I clearly recall BipolarBob doing exactly what you just described, i.e., swooping in and paying off people's loans.  Apparently out of the goodness of his heart, because I never saw him ask for anything in return.  I'd always assumed he was an old-school bitcoin whale with a lot of it to go around.

I wonder what happened to him.  He's one of the many members who just kind of disappeared over the years I've been here, and I hadn't thought of his name in a long time.  Even if his account did get hacked, that wouldn't preclude him from creating a new one.

Bitcoin to the moon!
Now that I think of it, BiPolar Bob was playing the long con Cheesy He sold us cheap stuff at low cost, and now he's sitting at 50x+ of that value.

Lesson learned? Hodl. Always.
BPB was a nice guy. He was not receiving similar value for the things he was giving away. He was basically giving away gift cards at a 90% discount when he was paying full price. I hope he is doing well today.

True. He did many giveaways too. Haven't seen him in a while, I hope he's doing well!

He didn't scam tbf, haha. Just had the future insight I guess. He provided us with gift cards etc at 0.1x - 0.5x face value in BTC. Now that BTC value has increased tremendously over the years.

Well, Username checks out in that case. Cheesy

But I didn't know he scammed so much. My weekly bad news about the good guys from the old days I guess.

Live like there is no tomorrow!
Maybe he is Satoshi Nakamoto  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes lol

That would make sense with regard to his generosity. Wink

I'm also one of the lucky (old) ones to made some great deals with him (or received items of him Smiley)

Not sure, I saw that a lot of people were looking to give him a loan without even thinking just to get is more than generous repayment. It would be nice if he was a active member here rather than appearing now and then, but I guess that adds to his character more than anything.

I've personally dealt with him in the past and he was extremely nice.

It is for sure that BPB is a trusted person, so dealing with him is risk-free and also it is like a double/triple bonus thing if dealt with him.
If he were available frequently at least then it could be more fun I think, but he is differently different and uniquely unique ( Roll Eyes do I said it the right way?) due to the kind of person he is.

Remember when he used to sell $20 gift card for $5 or so? I pm'd him right away and asked, 'Man are you for real?'. He then sent me a $20 Steam Code and a bitcoin addy. I also remember a guy who created a software just to track BPB online time. That was crazy.

BPB is crazy than insane and insanely crazy.  Roll Eyes Is my English correctly correct?

Most probably it is original BPB who logged in and asked for a loan then disappeared, it suits according to his nature.
This time he logged in after 1+ year, now the question is, will he do the same this time?

Does this guy come back active on the forum? I heard a lot about him and i wish he is still helping the community.

His account recently resurfaced after a long period of time. But, whether it's actually him remains to be confirmed. He occasionally logs in and requests for a loan and repays it + extra.

I do believe that the one that logged in recently and asked for a loan is the original BPB but, even hasn't logged in since the request.

Well iirc Bob always responds every user who interested on his loan request at same day. It's my first time to see him doesnt update his loan thread since it's opened two weeks ago.

RIP Mommy
I feel like I owe him a $30 mystery box in exchange for a Amazon gift code giveaway, but IDK if I'll ever get a shipping address (or be able to verify it's really BPB I'm communicating with).
