It's like the dotcom bubble. Yes internet technology was revolutionary and many of the companies eventually recovered their value slowly or even reached new highs, but the prices in 2000 were bubble. Right now bitcoin is bought up completely on speculation on top of speculation with the big money speculating, and has nothing to do with its adoption as a currency, other than as the currency of speculation. This speculation bubble will have a spectacular crash but eventually the adoption will catch up.

I think it was bubble back in 2009-10 year when people had hard time finding it in their list of investment. It was bubble back then because they did know about it on expertise level and nobody thought that bitcoin will be greatest investment in the world or future that is yet to come. So according to timeline things got changed I believe, and now the time has come when bitcoin is no more bubble. People know about it in detail, there are thousands of sources from where we can get instant proof of bitcoin’s working and thus we can earn, learn, and invest into it at any time. The bubble will never allow so much flexibility of this market but it gave it, and proved once again that this is not yet bitcoin bubble but a reality of market.

Yes , I think it is becoming a bubble .Tremendous growth has been seen in it's price within two weeks which is making some people to consider it as a bubble .But I don't think it will have any impact on us until we will take wise decisions.I think this bubble will burst but until that we can make maximum out of it .

Yes it is completely up to us the way we take it and how smart we play with the situation and make every situation as a winning situation but bitcoin is not bubble if it was bubble then bitcoin wouldn't have lasted for such a long time and wouldn't have passed through all those regulatory if it was a bubble. We can still count profit even if the value of bitcoin goes down by purchasing more bitcoin to trade once the value shoots back.

I strongly believe bitcoin is not a bubble and i can't see it going down.. if they are a bubble how would they go down? i can't really see that scenario.. but many expert do believe so.. but i can't really see crypto going down. I even believe there will be integration with the current financial fiats.
Bubble is something which does exist for sometime and it bursts when it becomes bigger. Bitcoin is rising, it may fall or it may rise, opinions differ according to each and every person from his/her point of view. If a single person says bitcoin is a bubble won't change any fact. If it's a bubble it's a bubble, if it's not then it's not. A single user's opinion doesn't add much. And this is just a waste of time asking whether bitcoin is a bubble or not.

Bubble here and there that topic has been around for years and people who are against bitcoin always say that "bitcoin is a bubble", well the thing is that these people are envious to the people who has been into bitcoin for such a long time and has gain fortune from it, we make money from bitcoin, bubble or not its still money rolling.

Rightly said as we have been hearing these kind of old school post like bitcoin is bubble, bitcoin is going to crash, end of bitcoin and all from years but the fact is crypto currency is the future of digital money and bitcoin is currently the undisputed leader of crypto currency world and there are some altcoins as well who are making good progress so far and i believe in bitcoin and it is not a bubble.

Nope, No bubble here. 2,000 to 20,000 in a few weeks is fairly normal behavior or most financial assets.

When was the last time the world saw an entirely new asset class come into existence?

Most financial assets are introduced at a price that is believed to be pretty accurate.  The asset price can be a bit volatile initially during price discovery, and then the price only moves as the perceived value of the asset changes.

Consider the fact that Bitcoin was introduced at a price of $0, that the value of the smallest unit is currently only $0.00016 per unit, and the possibility that so few people are engaged with the asset that it may still be in a price discovery phase.  Is it not possible that at the end of the price discovery phase, bitcoin may be sitting at a relatively stable price of $0.001 per smallest unit ($100,000 per BTC), or $0.01 per smallest unit ($1,000,000 per BTC), or any other price that is significantly higher than the current price.

If the world is only just now really taking notice of this asset, and if it is significantly under-priced to start with, then wouldn't you expect the price to run up VERY fast?  It is likely that it will overshoot, and that will be followed by a significant drop in price, but that could be a drop from $1.5 million per BTC to $1 million per BTC.  I'd expect some significant oscillations over the next 5 to 10 years.  However, a large and fast increase is not necessarily an indication of a "bubble".

I'm not saying it isn't a bubble. I'm just saying it's difficult to know for certain, and that there are other good explanations for the recent price behavior.

Finally, note...  Bitcoin hasn't been $2000 since July 17.  While that isn't very long ago, I'd say that 21 weeks is a bit more than "a few".

"How can Bitcoin go down? Impossible!" -someone who clearly has not lived through a Bitcoin bear market. I hope we keep running higher, just so we can trap more plebs who think $2000/day gains are sustainable. I'm a long term bull, but don't delude yourself into thinking "it can't go down." There are some painful corrections coming. Hell, Coinbase is down $6000 from the top! Sucks to have bought up there...

A bubble is when a bunch of traders take out loans and use leverage in an unsustainable way.

Traders riding the rocketship doesn't count as 'increasing demand'.

Yes bitcoin is not a bubble but it is a natural phenomena wherein the demands is getting higher therefore bitcoin in will getting higher also. As they said if the demands is higher then the bitcoin will also getting high. So I am more prefer that bitcoin is like roller coaster than bubble.

The bubble already burst. How the price back again to the around 14k just in some hours. Since the bitcoin built from the market trust and that depends on the demand and supply. To create the price of the bitcoin. This time you are seeing about the price going down a lot. You shouldn't talk about that. The fact that the bitcoin can goes down anytime. It doesn't need any fundamental aspect but this time looks it caused by the recent news from the south korean.

In the present time this word bubble is more famous thing because the main reason is that bubble made for blast and destroy ownself , and as we can see that lots of people group are Making useless coin pump and that pump are really fake and that results into dump in price soon , but here in case of bitcoin nothing is bubble Because bitcoin price is not a pump , it is only due to increase in the demand only that is increasing day by day , so people are attracting more toward it and making more and more investment .
If this was pump then surely price have been goes down with 40-50% easily but that didn't happened .
Here bitcoin is legimate Because its price are not fake by anyone , so absolutely we should not use word bubble for bitcoin price .
So what do you think about skycoin.. they look abnormal to me...the rapid rise with low volume of trading only available in 1 exchange

Bitcoin itself is not a bubble, but each major rally creates a short term trader bubble way above the more slowly rising mean. Adoption simply doesnt increase by 2000% in 6 months.

The bubble would be when there is no way bitcoin price is hiking. For example, bitcoin prices could have been playing around few dollars and then we could have said that its a bubble really. In addition to this, whenever there is bubble there is one thing for sure, "people won't believe things in such simple way". If they don't believe it then hw can they make so much investment into it and how the prices are rising like crazy this year. I think its reality that we should start accepting (those who don't yet) and should start looking after good investment opportunities really. If we just keep saying that this is bubble and stuff like that then there will be surely no chance people are becoming wealthy through this system.

I added that last part because just to let know everyone what they are missing because of bubble thing. :-)

Some of the people believes that it is a bubble, but who cares? As long as you don't let your self into that you'll be alright. You just have to take the risk as an investor.
Right on , totally true and always follow the first rule investing in crypto.. Don't invest money you can't afford to lose..

it is all depends on how people value it. right now it is like gold investment, but once the value changed to currency (FIAT money) then it might cause decrease.
