Replacement will never take place, even if the dollar is in very bad collapse. Bitcoin might be used as an alternate or a currency same as dollar.

That will not happen. Many people need some Dollar and that is very important for them otherwise they can live. That is their money.
There are many people on this world that dont even know what Bitcoin is and that is the problem. So it will not happen soon.

It wont replace dollar soon maybe in the future yes.
Who knows what the future could bring maybe bitcoin is not the mainstream digital currency.

i think the chance will be 1:1.000.000.000 , U.S. dollar is strong currency, backed with gold, I doubt bitcoin can replace dollar in future.

Well said dollar is very strong. Dollar is well backed with the gold. When we think about Bitcoin its backed with the technology. If something goes wrong everything gets collapsed.

Right and I think bitcoin have the higher percentage of collapsing. Technology. A lot of it relies on electricity. If electricity breaks down where will be bitcoin. Dollar will be there as well as gold and other physical currency.

Bitcoin has the highest percentage of collapsing due to the dependence on power. In the coming years there might be some alternate solution for the power generation. If a stable solution for power is created soon Bitcoin might be used more than the present.

In future bitcoin will be use more for sure but that doesn't mean that it will replace dollar easily, its not easy to replace dollar, as the users of dollars are widely spread and the market cap of dollar is huge.
It will of course not replace it. That will be worst if that is going to happen. Many people need some dollar and that is important to them.
Of course Bitcoin will be more use later, that is logic, but it wont replace it that is impossible.

Yeah, and don't expect too high from bitcoins, we really don't care whether it can replace dollar or not, the only thing we want is that it should be widely used and accepted.

It can happen but this will take a lot of time if you ask me because the point is that the dollar is now very big and will not collapse.
The bitcoin is hated by the banks that are using the dollar and also the bitcoin can collapse so that is the opposite, it would be a long journey for the bitcoin to do this.

backed with gold? i thought they got rid of gold backing ages ago.  Its backed by the us gov and strength of the us army.   Every super power has ended in history.  I think fiat is done in 50 years.
I dont think that will happen. Many people use Dollar and they need it. It is very important for them and that is their only payment method.
many people also dont even know what Bitcoin is and that is the problem, we all hope that it will be more used later.

50-100 years as i see it fit, change is inevitable so its either they follow the trend or go up against the trend of bitcoin and create their own digital currency.

One way this could be possible is if governments are secretly beginning to hoard bitcoin into their reserves, then they can start openly declaring bitcoin being their no2 or no1 investment of choice. If governments are clever they will want to do this. Like Esperanto was to be the universal language but it didn't quite happen, Bitcoin could really become the universal currency of choice. It's just a random thought of mine but it's worth but worth thinking about.
